That mountain thunder is something else. What an adventure, a journey to top all journeys. Im so happy for both of you! Thank you for taking the time to record and post your adventures on the magnificent AT!❤
Thanks for letting us hear the storm and glad you pulled up in a safe spot. Need to show my nephew this one ... he is still in his "invulnerable" 20's. I think I still remember them. 🤔
My first time up Mt Washington, we popped out above tree line just in time for a thunderstorm. Turned around and went back down trail. Sat and ate lunch in the rain under the trees. If we’d been a half hour ahead, we would have been stranded in the wide open. I can smell the fresh pine in that hostel. I love how the bunks are in a common room but constructed for at least some privacy. Are there no shelters in Maine?
I look forward to your videos. I can tell from your voice and demeanor that you are worn out and ready to get this over. You and bluegrass are a great team, you’re blessed you found each other. I look forward to seeing you at mama Kay’s summit. I’ll probably cry.
Man those rocks look Brutal! Man you did hunker down from the storm, great Idea using the pad for shelter from rain. Still had some good views on here, Great video!!
Thought you'd put your tent up when you stopped for the storm. Looked like you took cover under your ground pad. Whatever works. Turned out to be a nice day after the rain. The hostel sure was nice. A welcome comfort after all the rock climbs.
I guess after this “vacation”, you’ll need a vacation. Maybe instead of a vacation, maybe a trip to Fantasy Island(the plane, the plane)for a relaxing massage.
A man walks into a hostile and sees a priest, a rabbi an Irishman, and a hiker, and says…..”What is this…..a joke?!!” 😂. What you all are doing is definitely no joke, but it is fun to watch. And in case you’re feeling a little crazy …. ‘What do you call a trail to the insane asylum? A psycho-path.!!!” 🏕️🤷♀️
@@ChuckHowell-Outdoors I got worried that the fatigue and stress was sometimes too stressful and hiking not much fun - ergo, let’s see if we can get a giggle every day for the final bunch of days. Nothing like a silly chuckle to lift the spirits. Hopefully. I did my homework.

Yeah. I remember those days as well. Lightning is nothing to play around with.
Very sweet accommodations.
Certainly welcome stop.
Hike safe.
Yes it was. Thanks Brian
Thanks for taking me along, Godspeed my friend
Thanks for hanging in there
Pretty rough terrain now! Good job!🙂🙏
Thanks 👍
Seems like a tough motivation day but you ended it nicely at that beautiful hostel! Keep on keeping’ on!
Some of them are. We just push through those.

Maine has “lean toos “. Some thing as shelters. No huts though
No wonder most don’t make it to momma K. Proud of you guys for enduring the terrain 🎉
Thanks. It’s tougher than I even thought it would be.
Eventful day! That's a beautiful hostel. Keep on trekking! You're doing great!
Thank you! Will do!
Yeahhhh ! 😅 thanks for showing the hostel on the inside !! That is the nicest one I think I've ever seen ! WOW ! 😮 BEAUTIFUL! thanks again 👏👏👏😃
Glad you liked it!! I normally don’t, but there weren’t many people in there.

I’m worn out, but I have mixed emotions about getting close to the end.

Thanks 👍. I just had to use my rain jacket. I don’t carry a foam pad.
Thks, appreciate all, and a realistic feel to the AT, sure all of the above are sore
Heading north!
Yes, but almost there.
Y'all are some climbing machines.
Hahaha. We’re trying 😂

Yep. Bluegrass used his pad. I don’t carry one so I just used my rain jacket. It worked
Thunderstorms can’t tell time😊😅
Exactly
Thanks for sharing! Just wondering how long did you actually wait for the storm to pass and did you meet Tara?
About 40 minutes. No. The storm delayed her as well. Our ride showed up before Tara made it to us.

Hahaha. That sounds like a good idea.
Did you get their dogs. The couple that owns the place keeps it in pristine condition.
to meet their dogs
Oh yeah. The dogs were there. It was a wonderful place
The Hostel of Maine is a gorgeous hostel. You're getting close to Mama K.
Yes we are!!!😃
