Spoilers ahead of the 2.0 story, skip if you haven't played yet. The elf girl, Cartethyia, is definitely alive. The Sentinel asked us, both at the beginning with the Vitreum Dancer, and at the Laurel, to save "The Lost one", i.e. that elf girl. What we saw was probably a projection of herself, made to make contact with us. She is sealed in those so-called Inverted Towers (speculation on my part, it could be the place in the sky we see from the peak of Averardo Vault), from what we've seen in that Vitreum Dancer scene at the beginning, with her chained. Regarding what Fenrico told us, i.e. her being the Threnodian's Resonator, could either be true, with a caveat, or complete utter bullshit. The caveat of the scenario in which that is true is that, like Phrolova suggested at the end, in fact she was referring to that elf girl, if she's the Threnodian Resonator, she likely is the Sentinel's Resonator too. And that would be interesting, because besides having never seen a Threnodian's Resonator, we have never seen a Double Resonator, let aside a Resonator with such dichotomic nature (Sentinel/Threnodian).
Sorry but I strongly disagree with your opening conversation about "nightmare mode" I think it would be cool to have that as an option for players who seek an additional challenge, but there should NOT be additional rewards. "Well nobody will use it then" that's fine? There will be some players who do use it anyway. But I'm mainly concerned with how WuWa seems to be slowly raising the skill ceiling just to get more rewards, when I think if anything they should reduce it. The game needs to be more casual oriented so as not to lose the casual audience. The game has PLENTY of high-skill challenges and we should not be trying to make that the standard at all. I dropped off after Yinlin and came back for Storekeeper, only to fall of again till 2.0 and let me tell you it is ROUGH trying to level and gear all my characters to have at least 2 teams for tower. If my experience is rough (and I consider myself semi-casual, 100%'d most of 1.0) I cannot imagine how many casual/tourists are dropping off. I just wanna be able to use my characters without feeling like I need to be a GOD gamer and wait 20+ weeks for enough currency/drops to max 2 teams. Personally I want to see a few things changed: 1. 1 Gold drop should be guaranteed at a max SOL per run of whatever trial 2. Allow me to instant complete Trials/Bosses I've already completed for their drops (still should fight bosses for echoes) 3. BUFF THE HELL OUT OF ECHO EXP
Yeah the Wuthering Waves is like Gathering waifus" like the ratio for male: female is insane. I am still waiting for Solon ideal that, he want to make Wuwa ratio for Male and Female is same ratio
