They started doing a lot of stunt publicity like doing TED talks on how successful they are, investing money to Nuclear Power Plant in China, pledging services to the CCP, pretty much starting to somewhat become political with the stance that adhere to the chinese citizen.
There's a part in the stream where he talks about how frustrated he was seeing HSR and ZZZ thrive while Genshin Impact remains the same, despite how much he has spent on Genshin (He is a huge whale btw). He then started to think that the money he spent on Genshin (which he had hoped would be used to make Genshin better) is actually being used to improve HSR/ZZZ instead. I’m really glad that some people in the Japanese Genshin Impact community are starting to see how bad HoYoverse's management is.

There's been rumours that Hoyo made 2.5 Million Yen contracts for CN streamers demanding especially not to play wuwa(around its release) and encourage shit talking to it or else they will get kicked out from official cc servers..I thought it was rumour too at first but now??It's starting to feel like real to me.

These people have mental ilness. They think they can force Nerumero to be their forever genshin streamer all to validate their own gaming choice, not because they love Nerumero. Not only that, some of these people just want to stir trouble. Hopefully Nerumero is fine and I can see that the community is supporting him. Wuthering Waves community is small, but we welcome Nerumero with open arms. He's a great streamer.
Now that he's free, he can play whatever games he likes, which is better than dedicating his life to one company. It's just sad to see how people always find ways to defend everything Hoyo does.

I always thought it was strange when some CCs openly said they WEREN'T going to play Wuwa when it launched. Like, what was there to GAIN by saying that? Now I know why.
It is a contract so when i would sign up for a job you are not allow to do business with others. Otherwise you would get fired due to different business and of course competition. Many Vtuber in japan has alot of restriction before they can stream any game they need first permission to allow to play it. But I I think its still bad practice as CC that you are not allow to play other game for the most part.

A streamer named Yue Fei once exposed communication records with miHoYo staff, where he was threatened that if he streamed content related to Wuthering Waves, miHoYo would revoke his access to the test server, preventing him from releasing videos about new characters in a timely manner. The most disgusting aspect of this entire situation is that miHoYo pretends to allow fair competition on the surface but uses underhanded tactics to suppress competitors behind the scenes. This behavior is even more despicable than openly prohibiting affiliated streamers from promoting competitors' content through agreements or payments. They aim to suppress rivals while avoiding public backlash, a practice that is truly shameful.
Yue Fei did indeed have a contract with miHoYo, but it was solely about promoting new characters and did not include restrictions on other games. miHoYo privately used access to the test server as leverage to prevent him from streaming WuWa. This is why I say their actions are more egregious than openly restricting content through a contract.

Hoyo employee said he'd lose the privilege, then he did it anyways. After he posted the chat, things turned around because the guy was actually not playing the game, making misleading guides. Then, guy apologized. Hoyo makes mistakes, but if you present bad examples shills will hang on them.

After Yue Fei said he would, the employee stated that if he streamed WuWa, he would lose his test server privileges. This is what I mean when I say miHoYo is using tactics to control streamers. They use things like test server access or event participation privileges as leverage to threaten streamers, preventing them from streaming other games. Yue Fei leaking the chat logs with the company was also wrong, which is why he was criticized and apologized. However, miHoYo's control over streamers to suppress competition is also a fact, and this was overlooked by miHoYo fans at the time. Therefore, in the case of Nerumero, I used it as an example to show that this kind of behavior had happened before.

This was really interesting. I recently discovered Nerumero after he did a watchalong of Wuwa 2.0 and binged his Wuwa content. I didn't know all of this happened. I watched him play and he's really enjoying it. He really loved 1.3 and Shorekeeper and he can't wait for a rerun cause he just missed it when he came back to playing Wuwa. I wholeheartedly welcome him. I'm actually happy someone as big as him started playing Wuthering waves cause this means a lot for the JP wuwa community. I hope the game thrives even more.
2-3 months ago, there was also a similar drama in CN side. The whole message of Hoyo devs saying not to play WuWa was post on social media. It blew up even in jp side as well.
@Male_Ficent asianguy is a twitch streamer who was close to a hoyo employ and so he used that acquaintance to put himself in a pedestal by putting a good word about a person and that said person would get contract. Now when we look online we see thousands of commentors but since genshin is extremely boring the viewers in a stream would barely pass 2 or three digits for these streamers including the asiainguy/atsu, but the contract made it so they could earn AND get viewers. GAining viewers is the steps of becoming a streamers obviously but putting t he stairs in an all time watch under the eyes of one guy made it so everyone talked good about atsu BCS they obviously wanted money and reach, this cause atsu to start controlling te whole space and during last lantern rite a guy named braxophone posted a doc talking about how atsu caused him to be unapproachable since he didn't think brax was 'good' and so brax had no collabs and no friends in the space, to top it all of peoplein genshin space started making fun of brax's initial guide but fortunately brax wasn't a pussy and gained his own audience and loyal fanbase but after brax said this out loud many other smaller creator said this was true and backing it up that's when a hated content creator namely tectone who has been saying this out loud and calling out both the creators and the game itself came out and backed brax up, he also had situations with atsu too and then a long drama happened for months and atsu dug himself a grave by posting two docs trying to play a victim card and even the people he had put a good name for started going against him so he said eh is going on a break and hasn't been back.

That's exactly how Im going to approach this. Hoyo (specifically the g.i dev team) only started to get off their rear ends as soon as wuwa was approaching them. Zzz launch around the time of wuwa? Qol suddenly starts to become prioritized? And here I thought CN would've dropped hoyo like a bad habit by now but nah! Genshin is reaching it's conclusion one way or another. Do people really believe that Kurogames, with its human capital that was very low at the launch of Wuthering Waves, could optimize UE4 so quickly? That shit is not optimized overnight, much less in 5 or 6 months, that was the work of Tencent (the relationship between Black Myth Wukong devs - former Tencent employees and Solon has been known for a long time) because they are the only ones who have been dedicated to the research and branching of the UE engine into CN (World of King will use UE5 but it is not known if it is an mmorpg or sigle player for mobiles like GI/wuwa)

From China, as the one who played hoyo's game from Honkai Impact 3rd and deleted my hoyo account yesterday, the thing I learnt from this company is that - they don't know the another side of a game there are players. Or worse case, they know but don't care.
This reminds me of something my japanese colleague once mentioned to me. He said in Japan there are commonly cases where employees will suddenly receive no work, no involvement in projects and straight up ignored by their other co-workers. This is an obvious sign by corpa to tell them to quit their job, so what this is essentially translates to is they should be 'taking the hint' and quit on their own accord. Though i do not follow Neromero, it seems that the long periods of being ignored is such a sign. I wish him the best in his future endeavours in Wuwa and other games.

TBH, Genshin's official discord is one of the worst group of childish mods I've ever seen in my life. I'm pretty sure they are handled by people who hasn't even worked in a real job at all. They totally don't understand how to handle most cases, and their default is just to ban / mute depending on what they perceive to be. They will never check what is the full context of whatever happened, and it is purely dependent on what they manage to see, when they happened to be online at that point in time. Alot of them often jump to conclusions first and then stick with that conclusion before anything else. That was why a group of us came out to create our own discord server and community instead.

He had seen a leak a long time ago (when Inazuma was not yet available), and was constantly attacked by antis for this, which is said to be the reason why he was treated poorly by the Hoyoverse. But the release of Miyabi is screaming "powercreep" problems in the future. Im Hoyofree now though, since I cant keep up with too many gacha games. Now its just wuwa, fgo and snowbreak.

During the pandemic, everyone and their moms played genshin, it gave the devs a huuuuge godcomplex. Not only did they treat players and ccs like shxt, but they thought they could get away with getting cash with the minimum effort. Which they did for years. Today, the tables have turned immensely and i genuinely think they're barely learned anything.

In terms of popularity by genshin japanese player ;”: 1.Nerumero(streamer) 2.megurohead(character tips and tricks uploader) 3.mosurameso(streamer) one more thing, about the last thing that nerumero mention about he dont get early access when the other got it. it actually not quite right because only 2 person from hoyocreator are selected for the early access :megurohead and somen channel. the most likely reason is because they both are character tips uploader (they upload video about what kind of tools that suit a character or whether the character is worth to pull). and nerumero is live streamer same as mosurameso(3rd biggest genshin creator) who also doesnt get early access because he only do live streaming.
I hope Kuro keeps having fun making games and that their employees feel valued. that’s more than enough for a great company. Solon’s energy in the 2.0 livestream really showed they’re enjoying the process. I just hope they don’t follow Hoyo’s path. To be honest I was suprised at first then I remembered all those multi billion dollar corporations and how you can't really speak out against a company you either work for or contracted to work for. it's ironically sad, I've been subscribed to Nerumero from the Sumeru era, I like him because every GI livestream he will focus on discussing 1 character, be it b4 or b5, he would brings explore & spiral abyss as if to prove that your build is good & understands how to use it, no matter which character u used there is no difference, all of them are good (which is good for f2p player too). Every time the spiral is reset he will also fully start the spiral abyss using all its characters which are divided into several teams as needed.

Regardless no company likes anyone that covers leaks peroid and due to his negligence of not getting rid of the channel. Got kicked out then ostracized I'm guessing because you don't trust someone covering leaks. Btw this has happened with a CC that covers kuro games on en, he got removed from pgr cause he made a mistake covering a leak or information he shouldn't have getting shadow banned or whatever so in general no company likes a leaker mistake, negligence etc. You will forever get remembered. At this point he should do other games regardless of what another handler says because they will never forget the leaks or the negligence of not removing the channel on the spot. Hi, I just want to say as a day one hi3 player I was so excited for genshin because of their previous game and how they treat it. So I started playing genshin at launch at absolutely loved the game and its setting(still do) but as the time goes on many hi3 player I know, started dropping it saying the devs are not as responsive and passionate as hi3 ones and tbh I myself felt that but since I play these gacha games casually and do not spend any money on it so I never cared much. But I must say genshin devs are very arrogant and I don't like how they treat their players and game. Why improve your game when you can ship a new game with those improvements in them. They don't want GI to be their only revenue source so it's worth having disgruntled players spread across multiple games than happy players in one. Also seeing that other CCs were being treated fine, maybe somebody was shit talking nerumero, but he never figured out who it was, and assumed it was just the devs. this also seems to be an atsu case but nerumero simply couldnot figure out who the "atsu" was, as I believe hoyo is smart enough to not abandon nerumero like that without actual pressure from other CCs. They started doing a lot of stunt publicity like doing TED talks on how successful they are, investing money to Nuclear Power Plant in China, pledging services to the CCP, pretty much starting to somewhat become political with the stance that adhere to the chinese citizen.

It is a contract so when i would sign up for a job you are not allow to do business with others. Otherwise you would get fired due to different business and of course competition. Many Vtuber in japan has alot of restriction before they can stream any game they need first permission to allow to play it. But I I think its still bad practice as CC that you are not allow to play other game for the most part.

However, in reality, it coerces compliance by bullying and isolating streamers who do not follow these requests. Similar incidents have occurred in China. A streamer named Yue Fei once exposed communication records with miHoYo staff, where he was threatened that if he streamed content related to Wuthering Waves, miHoYo would revoke his access to the test server, preventing him from releasing videos about new characters in a timely manner.
The most disgusting aspect of this entire situation is that miHoYo pretends to allow fair competition on the surface but uses underhanded tactics to suppress competitors behind the scenes. This behavior is even more despicable than openly prohibiting affiliated streamers from promoting competitors' content through agreements or payments. They aim to suppress rivals while avoiding public backlash, a practice that is truly shameful.
The hilarious part? These tactics is what the fans accuse Tencent doing.

Yue Fei did indeed have a contract with miHoYo, but it was solely about promoting new characters and did not include restrictions on other games. miHoYo privately used access to the test server as leverage to prevent him from streaming WuWa. This is why I say their actions are more egregious than openly restricting content through a contract.

After Yue Fei said he would, the employee stated that if he streamed WuWa, he would lose his test server privileges. This is what I mean when I say miHoYo is using tactics to control streamers. They use things like test server access or event participation privileges as leverage to threaten streamers, preventing them from streaming other games.
Yue Fei leaking the chat logs with the company was also wrong, which is why he was criticized and apologized. However, miHoYo's control over streamers to suppress competition is also a fact, and this was overlooked by miHoYo fans at the time.
Therefore, in the case of Nerumero, I used it as an example to show that this kind of behavior had happened before.

This was really interesting. I recently discovered Nerumero after he did a watchalong of Wuwa 2.0 and binged his Wuwa content. I didn't know all of this happened. I watched him play and he's really enjoying it. He really loved 1.3 and Shorekeeper and he can't wait for a rerun cause he just missed it when he came back to playing Wuwa.

@Male_Ficent asianguy is a twitch streamer who was close to a hoyo employ and so he used that acquaintance to put himself in a pedestal by putting a good word about a person and that said person would get contract. Now when we look online we see thousands of commentors but since genshin is extremely boring the viewers in a stream would barely pass 2 or three digits for these streamers including the asiainguy/atsu, but the contract made it so they could earn AND get viewers. GAining viewers is the steps of becoming a streamers obviously but putting t he stairs in an all time watch under the eyes of one guy made it so everyone talked good about atsu BCS they obviously wanted money and reach, this cause atsu to start controlling te whole space and during last lantern rite a guy named braxophone posted a doc talking about how atsu caused him to be unapproachable since he didn't think brax was 'good' and so brax had no collabs and no friends in the space, to top it all of peoplein genshin space started making fun of brax's initial guide but fortunately brax wasn't a pussy and gained his own audience and loyal fanbase but after brax said this out loud many other smaller creator said this was true and backing it up that's when a hated content creator namely tectone who has been saying this out loud and calling out both the creators and the game itself came out and backed brax up, he also had situations with atsu too and then a long drama happened for months and atsu dug himself a grave by posting two docs trying to play a victim card and even the people he had put a good name for started going against him so he said eh is going on a break and hasn't been back.
TDLR to people who saw this: Blame the genshin devs/hoyo devs that made Nerumero being ostracized twice. Respect his choice and support him, also as Wuwa players, please welcome to our community with open arms

This reminds me of something my japanese colleague once mentioned to me. He said in Japan there are commonly cases where employees will suddenly receive no work, no involvement in projects and straight up ignored by their other co-workers.
This is an obvious sign by corpa to tell them to quit their job, so what this is essentially translates to is they should be 'taking the hint' and quit on their own accord.

TBH, Genshin's official discord is one of the worst group of childish mods I've ever seen in my life. I'm pretty sure they are handled by people who hasn't even worked in a real job at all. They totally don't understand how to handle most cases, and their default is just to ban / mute depending on what they perceive to be. They will never check what is the full context of whatever happened, and it is purely dependent on what they manage to see, when they happened to be online at that point in time. Alot of them often jump to conclusions first and then stick with that conclusion before anything else. That was why a group of us came out to create our own discord server and community instead.

If devs like Hotta and Kuro can pop out new open world games (Hotta is even crazier with how ToF performs revenue-wise), why can't the company with beyond tenfolds of revenues pop out more good content or be just as generous but instead recycles animations and barely putting QoLs like substat selector until recently?
And no, nuclear reactor isn't a good answer. Philanthropy isn't either as smaller companies like Hypergryph can do it too while popping out Endfield, 3 seasons of anime and a premium game out of a single mobile game that earns much, much less than Genshin.
They are simply just being greedy without returning a fraction of the investment made by the spenders in the game 🤭
Honestly, spending money on Hoyoverse does come with returns. After investing a significant amount, whenever I pointed out my dissatisfaction with their games in the community, I quickly got attacked by others. Isn't that a kind of return? Hi, I just want to say as a day one hi3 player I was so excited for genshin because of their previous game and how they treat it. So I started playing genshin at launch at absolutely loved the game and its setting(still do) but as the time goes on many hi3 player I know, started dropping it saying the devs are not as responsive and passionate as hi3 ones and tbh I myself felt that but since I play these gacha games casually and do not spend any money on it so I never cared much. But I must say genshin devs are very arrogant and I don't like how they treat their players and game.
All that being said I still play genshin and I know its hard to believe I do enjoy it cause I play it casually and I would love to see where the story goes. But what they did to this CC and many more is disgusting. like instead of making your game better you threaten CC to not play the rival. I have also played Wuwa when it came out, loved it but can't play it on laptop cause of technical reasons will continue the game when I get a decent hardware to play on.

Why improve your game when you can ship a new game with those improvements in them. They don't want GI to be their only revenue source so it's worth having disgruntled players spread across multiple games than happy players in one. Lets remember one thing Hoyoverse have differents parts and Hoyo moderators of this type of things are awful, literally the worst thing of all Hoyo teams, the team that controls all the things related to streamers are the worst, in the spanish community one hoyo creator made a lot of thing and talked a lot with the moderators(and his was a moderator himself) to kick a lot of creators.
One thing that I want to add, the team of things related to hoyo creators of spain and Latin American has been changed completely, that a lot of content creators that were in a black list they are no longer in that list

Ryuuku sensei I want you to consider the event when this was actually perpetuated by another JP cc, as nerumero didn't really know the reason of blacklisting. Also seeing that other CCs were being treated fine, maybe somebody was shit talking nerumero, but he never figured out who it was, and assumed it was just the devs. this also seems to be an atsu case but nerumero simply couldnot figure out who the "atsu" was, as I believe hoyo is smart enough to not abandon nerumero like that without actual pressure from other CCs. Maybe this is a bigger conspiracy than you, I or nerumero know.
