Totally forgot to mention.. lol.. after the second surgery I had nerve damage in my right hand so I wont be able to fish until it gets better which may never happen.. or take more than another 4 months. Thank you all!!!
Holy crap, Matt! Thank you for sharing your story! It's amazing what we learn about ourselves through adversity, and I can only imagine the perspective this endeavor has given you. I'm so glad to see you back on your feet, even if slowly. I look forward to those feet hitting the trail!!

Welcome back and I appreciate you being vulnerable - I think a lot of people (thinking more of the demographic likely watching) struggle with various things in life and it means a lot seeing someone like yourself go through hell and back and live to tell the story (while also extending an invitation to help others). If I still lived in Norcal I’d ask you to come fish the delta with me one day but a virtual cheers will have to do. 🍻

Really great to have you back in the community. speedy recovery for you, sounds like a good time to maybe hit the Delta and test the waters maybe get yourself a big one for a change. i want to say i know the friend you speak of but i wont wish to say and then sound like a total donkey hat lol..
