Very impressive from the suns to wrestle that momentum back and get the win. Everything was going collingwoods way and they still found a way to win, scary.

If by scary you mean GC, they’re not scary yet, not consistent enough, Collingwood will be 2nd on the ladder by round 23 if you look at the draw and the returning players
Congratulations to the Suns.
It's not often you see Collingwood beaten in physicality. That soft freekick for a shove in the chest set the tone. Gold Coast hit them hard from then on.
I reckon Suns will make at least a semi final if not a prelim within the next 3 years if they can keep their side together. Probably one of the best young sides in it at the moment, but not able to put it together every week yet
The age old adage applies once again. I follow 2 teams. mine. And the one that beats Collingwood. Lots to learn from the style they used too. Constant pressure and very solid intercept marking. And when they got momentum ,almost 90's like gut running into open spaces

Maynard and Daicos better get fines for staging. Maynard went down holding his head and daicos got a push to the arm in the 4th, held it like it was broken and got a free instantly. Havent seen someone so protected by the umps ever, almost like the umpire coaches tell them to switch it up after the 3rd quarter to allow an easier comback story because it sells better....
Yeah you know nothing and it shows mate maybe being winded makes you do stuff you can’t control and Dacios still got cuaght high regardless of how much he played it pretty common move for every player
If fines don't work they have to start suspending players for extreme staging. Daicos is an excellent player, but has been placed on the protected species list by the umpires association.
@@Ali-ti3oc daicos got pushed on the arm in the 4th for a free because he acted like he got punched.... Maynard got pushed on the chest and held his head, that isn't being winded thats flopping. Quit riding your golden boys and learnt to critically think outside of your biases
@@gustaaf1892 he's consistently gotten frees for players pushing him and acting like he got punched. Ironically he's gut punched multiple times and never seems to give frees away, pretty interesting lmao like in the dogs game he got a goal from it, did the same thing himself and didn't give a free away. Most protected player in the comp, no rule applies to him

Happy that the Suns managed to kick again to beat the Pies. They need to learn to win away from home to become a force, but they have the makings of a good team with all the young talent that they have that will break through in the coming years.

He won't be sanctioned he plays for the pies. The media love them to bits and the AFL wants them doing well because it makes them money. The entire league is suited to them because it pays well. There won't be media backlash because they love the pies so he won't be fined

This style of footy is ridiculous. Basketball style, end to end, doesn't matter if you dispose properly as long as the ball keeps moving quickly from end to end. The AFL has been wondering why the injuries are up this year. We're looking at the reason right here. No fatiguing players, extra men on the bench means fresher legs all game. Higher speeds, faster impacts. Tactical and injury subs....more and more players are going to suffer serious injuries and we're already seeing young blokes retiring due to concussion impacting their lives in their mid twenties. The AFL has created this situation by speeding up the game at any cost and the cost is in injuries and future class actions against the league which could bankrupt the AFL. At least the code, Aussie Rules, will remain in some form. I won't shed a tear when the AFL is gone, bankrupted by greed and interfering with our beautiful Australian football code so much it looks very little like the original sport I grew up watching. Hawthorn, Collingwood, Adelaide, West Coast, Richmond, Essendon, Sydney, Brisbane, Tassie, Carlton, Geelong and an NT team could form a twelve team league where there's a fair, play each other twice each season comp.....maybe it's not 12..maybe it's 14? Who knows but the one thing we all know for certain is the AFL has stuffed our Australian game for too long and needs to be out the back paddock and let another mob run the top level comp in the country.
