as much as i love seeing snippets of cosplay being put together in the form of instagram stories/reels (i followed along the whole time) i will ALWAYS prefer longer videos like these
People who say 3D printing isn’t a craft haven’t tried making a model from scratch, printing it and assembling it 😅 Your videos didn’t convince me to buy a 3D printer since I already have one, BUT they did convince me to make my own Hunter’s Path for my Tighnari cosplay! Your Aqua Simulacra is sooo cool I just gotta try this myself 🤩🤩 (and I’m scared xD) GG to Benny and Jacob, they knocked it out of the park!
It's like saying using a pattern isn't real sewing. But, with the amount of baffling elitism I've encountered in the Maker space, it doesn't surprise me that someone would say that haha
3d modeling and printing is 100% crafting, it's just a different medium than foam. This is seriously so beautiful, it really does look right out of the game! It's a little crazy to me though that these companies give cosplayers such crazy short deadlines to make these intense projects. Big professional cosplayers often mention working sun up to sun down (or longer) for weeks at a time to finish the builds in the time they're given. I really hope these companies become more cognizant of the work they're actually asking creators to do and give more reasonable deadlines!
All your props and costumes are just amazing! I had the pleasure to retry my hand on airbrushing with a specialized artist showing me the ropes, it isn't easy at all to be steady with the stream of paint. Benni and Jacob are so skilled ! Awesome job like always !
@@KamuiCosplay Yes I was ! I was helping my mom with her stand and he was doing a demonstration, took the time to show us how it worked and answered our questions. Had a lovely time, i already admired airbrush artists but even more so now :D
As a CNC machinist, I even hear my own colleagues say it's not "real metalwork" while they have no idea how to program, calibrate, or run the machine! So yes, I can completely agree that your 3D crafting IS absolutely crafting! Also - CORGI!
That looks amazing.! I think that people are just jealous and don't realize how much hard work you put into your weapons and costumes. I would love a 3D printer, but I am more interested in your Lazer cutter.
I've been 3D printing for over 3 years and I can say without a doubt that IT IS crafting, as the time you "save" (as many would think) goes into the finishing... And mostly sanding (and if it's PLA it's double or triple the effort than ABS) The bow looks gorgeous!
I’m so glad the video came out! You are very inspiring to me, and even though I’m just a middle schooler, I’m so excited and ready to learn! My mom and I just bought a sewing machine yesterday, and I already set it up. Hopefully I can start making awesome cosplays when I’m an adult!
3D printers are totally crafting. It takes a lot of extra work to make that printed item look exactly the way you want. I have an axe I’ve printed for a costume and trying to figure out the painting composition of it is a challenge on its own.
The increasing affordability of 3D Printer is a good thing. I've recently bought a Bambu Lab P1P and its so much fun. Of course its the next logical step to use it for cosplay and make things easier and more precise. For me the hard part always was the paint job its where the noobs gets separated from the pros. All in all cosplay shouldn't divide us just everybody should craft the way they like the most.
stunning, magnificent, ethereal. I love the blue and the entire bow came out so crisp, it's very satisfying to look at. You're such an inspiration, I hope to make things to that quality someday. Can't wait to see the full cosplay
I saw snippets of you making the bow on instagram and thought it was so cool I ended up pulling for Yelan and just finished levelling her today! Great character and great craftsmanship! You’ve made a new fan :)
I cannot say anything about this, it's just too perfect omg from the details of the weapon, even the coloring too, it's too perfect! Omg i love it!!!!❤❤
For me the hardest part of 3D printing is the sanding! I find I give up before I reach a smooth finish. Thanks for the tip about that primer spray paint! I’ll give that a try ❤. Also, Corgi Squad!!
Wow so much work and time, i understand that some ppl might think 3d is cheating coz u dont need to sculpt from wood or other materials each piece BUT its not like ur making a real working bow its a replica for cosplay so it doesn´t need to be made from real materials. Great Job!
That was an amazing build, the crafting was amazing. People who discount the work that go into other mediums or any type of work are clowns. It takes hours to make 3D models, print and assemble the pieces like a puzzle, that’s work!
Hearing that you cried making the Yelan cosplay is so validating as a cosplayer also trying to make a Genshin cosplay from scratch 😅 looking forward to the next video!
Your video is actually so inspiring to me to retry my yelan cosplay i was waiting for every update on your ig but having it like this just makes me go "i can do so much better!!" real great work for the whole team
This is 100% a badass prop, and it was cool to see it made in real life. Also I think that 3D printing isn’t cheating entirely, due to the painting, sanding, and assembly required to make a prop, so there still is some work involved with 3D Printing aside from the printing itself. Corgi.
my treasure this yelan, since the first day C 6 r4 , I almost took r5 but I had other priorities! She will remain the most stylish of all I think 😍... bravo for what you do it is beautiful
I greatly respect and appreciate you and your team’s hard work and dedication! I’m really inspired! I’m thinking about making cosplays and doing 3D because of you. I plan on buying the books you recommend and going on this intense journey.
I ADORE these videos for sure! Love the longer form ones! Excited to see the next stage of the build! In terms of... is 3D Printing real crafting? Absolutely it is! Though it's definitely a tool that intimidates a lot of people, and has it's own really steep learning curve, AND investment curve. I think as an amateur prop builder I... definitely am unsure how to feel about it? I mean I have one too, I just haven't used it much at all. It feels like a lot of the Tactile nature on the actual model making end is taken out in favor of digitally modeling? Which has ups and downs for sure. I'm WAY more comfortable with, and find the experience more fun, if I can sorta figure the model out with paper dummies and foam? But also with a lot of projects like these (Time sensitive, highly stylized, digital models rather than illustration based, etc) and especially projects where you need a bunch of identical pieces (examples being your Aloy armor with all the various plates, or Lightning Cosplay's Mother Miranda Wings that she used a Laser Cutter on) Like... Yes you COULD make those by hand, but the result will ultimately look better, and take MUCH less mental strain if you can afford to/figure out how to automate parts of the process? It's a nuanced debate for sure.
As far as crafting goes, it has become more of a grey area. Usually, the term means to create something by hand. When it comes to just taking a stl file that you bought or download from some one else and use a 3d printer to fabricate the parts, it's akin to putting together a puzzle that you bought from a store. It is sort of like crafting, but with a lot less skill. If a person actually creates the model on a computer, that counts as crafting because you used a computer to design it and a 3d printer to print it out as mediums to express your idea and design. In the end, it's similar to ice sculpting, wood carving, clay sculpting or metal shaping structures because they are all tools used to create said idea.
My partner and I have been playing Genshin for a little while now. I did not realize you'd cosplayed Beidou! This bow looks absolutely amazing, and I look forward to seeing the full costume.
I’ve been waiting for the full video! So excited - it’s my favorite game right now! Edit: hoyo, pease continue supporting the channel in the future, I want to see more amazing cosplay (full or partial) crafts 🙏🥺
When someone says something isn't "real" whatever, that let's me know they're not actually paying attention to the work that goes into things. Trying new ways to do things is how we progress!
This looks amazing ❤ i actually got Yelan a few days ago, im pretty sure you gave me the luck, i subscribed and then got her! I think you gave me the luck so thank you! Can you make a Raiden cosplay one day, thank you so much if you do! ❤
I’m not a cosplayer. I sew….thats it! But I absolutely love your content and seeing y’all create things! I have followed your page for years. This bow is amazing! I’m behind on y’all’s content but I’ve been watching the shorts. Insomnia wins again but I’m catching up on your Genshin Impact stuff and it’s great!
I'm not planning on buying a 3D printer any time soon because I have no idea how to 3D model and I'm not ready to aloud time to learn this new skill Anyway, the result is beautiful, 3Dprinting really is hard work :D Congrats!!
Awesome bow wow! It is perfectly smooth and looks exactly like in the game! (Currently pulling for Yelan) I also have a 3D printer which is super handy not only when it comes to cosplay but when it comes to handy little helpers in everyday life :) oh and it is definitely crafting! 😂
i love that you made a long video on your cosplay! you got recommended to me through your yelan cos shorts so I'm happy we get to see more of your process. edit: can't wait to see the outfit vid 😆 you did so great on this cosplay!
Corgi squad! Anyone who says 3D printing is cheating has never 3D printed. It's like thinking that an airbrush is cheating or using a hobby knife is cheating... it's a tool. They make their jobs easier, but come with unique skills and challenges.
as much as i love seeing snippets of cosplay being put together in the form of instagram stories/reels (i followed along the whole time) i will ALWAYS prefer longer videos like these
+1
Huge applause to Benni and Jacob for this amazing work! CORGI!!!

Lol 3d printing needed 3d designing. That where the high skill come.
Its not crafting. Period.
3d modeling and printing is 100% crafting, it's just a different medium than foam. This is seriously so beautiful, it really does look right out of the game! this looks absolutely INSANE, it's so beautiful! you are all so talented and i cannot wait to see the whole cosplay all put together!! ❤
Thanks so much! And just check out my Shorts for the full costume reveal! 😊
All your props and costumes are just amazing! I had the pleasure to retry my hand on airbrushing with a specialized artist showing me the ropes, it isn't easy at all to be steady with the stream of paint. Benni and Jacob are so skilled ! Awesome job like always !
Thank you and you are so lucky! Hands on learning from with some experienced artists is really the best! 🙌

Kudos to Beni and Jacob. They did an excellent job. The bow looks amazing! I'm looking forward to seeing you make the rest of the costume. 💕 🐾
Thank you so much!!! 😊
That looks amazing.! I think that people are just jealous and don't realize how much hard work you put into your weapons and costumes. I would love a 3D printer, but I am more interested in your Lazer cutter.
The Tape Game is of the charts. Taping is so underrated. Another Awesome Weapon Created !
Love your craft! The details are crazy. You guys are amazing.

Yelan was a great choice! She's so cool!

I will be waiting for the full cosplay, AND ALSO MAKE IT AS LONG AS YOU WANT, IT'S SO COOL AND I DON'T MIND IT BEING A WHOLE HOUR VIDEO
3D printers are totally crafting.
It takes a lot of extra work to make that printed item look exactly the way you want.
I have an axe I’ve printed for a costume and trying to figure out the painting composition of it is a challenge on its own.
3D printing is absolutely real crafting. Anyone who has ever been buried in dust from sanding knows this.
Your craft skills are above and beyond, so impressive.
Love the character & bow.
I’ve never played the game but I love watching other people make things. I take all their ideas and apply them into my cosplays and props

3d printing is Crafting! Wow! Good work! Your Genshin bow looks amazing! Thank-you for sharing your crafting journey with us! 😊
Thank youuu! So happy to hear you like it so much! 😊
Thank you so much for making so many great videos. 3d printing works very well for weapons. I am working on a 120 CM sword now with lights.
Definitely in the corgi squad!
The result looks so clean, really nice job to the team :)
I saw snippets of you making the bow on instagram and thought it was so cool I ended up pulling for Yelan and just finished levelling her today! Great character and great craftsmanship! You’ve made a new fan :)

I love to watch you guys bring fantasy to life
I don’t do cosplays but watching the entire process is sooooo satisfying
This is stunning. The painted on details, the raised lines, THE BUTTERFLY FRIEND. Corgi.
I would love to see a video about the tools in your workshop, like your printers (paper printers and 3d printers) and sewing machines!
Wow so much work and time, i understand that some ppl might think 3d is cheating coz u dont need to sculpt from wood or other materials each piece BUT its not like ur making a real working bow its a replica for cosplay so it doesn´t need to be made from real materials. Great Job!
Beautiful.... and the now was good too... Great Work on this.😊
That was an amazing build, the crafting was amazing. People who discount the work that go into other mediums or any type of work are clowns. It takes hours to make 3D models, print and assemble the pieces like a puzzle, that’s work!
OMG! You both are just AMAZING!
Corgi!! I am simply amazed about your creation! It has really come alive!
dhe is too funny. Ben, I could never make this bow. You are a God.
Hearing that you cried making the Yelan cosplay is so validating as a cosplayer also trying to make a Genshin cosplay from scratch 😅 looking forward to the next video!

Those delicious gradients omg 🤤 Absolutely incredible job as always, congrats all of you 😍
3D printing is indeed a cheesecake. I'm glad someone finally admitted it. Great work as always, I cant wait to get my own 3D printer!
It's crazy cause it's both so 3D yet also 2D like the game. Awesome job

nice..this is such a high quality weapon..you earn a sub
My partner and I have been playing Genshin for a little while now. I did not realize you'd cosplayed Beidou! This bow looks absolutely amazing, and I look forward to seeing the full costume.

Amazing work on it.

It turned out so beautiful!
Can't wait to see the final madness
I'm not planning on buying a 3D printer any time soon because I have no idea how to 3D model and I'm not ready to aloud time to learn this new skill
Anyway, the result is beautiful, 3Dprinting really is hard work :D
Congrats!!
That was relaxing to watch 😄
Awesome bow wow! It is perfectly smooth and looks exactly like in the game! (Currently pulling for Yelan) I also have a 3D printer which is super handy not only when it comes to cosplay but when it comes to handy little helpers in everyday life :) oh and it is definitely crafting! 😂
I wish we had characters in genshin that were darker than paper bags, and even then, there are only 2 or 3 tan characters.
YOU ARE SO AMAZING
Yelan is my main, tag team with Yoimiya are unstoppable bow duo.
Amazing work 🤩
looks awesome! Would love to see you make a Layla and Yoimiya cosplay for Genshin too one day

I would pay a million for that bow. Even if it's plastic. Outstanding craftsmanship! 👏
P.s. Please do Raiden Shogun next. 🙏
Eres una Genia!!👏
When you said Benny, I immediately thought of Bennett 😂
Jokes aside, the cosplay is so cool. I've been using Yelan a lot lately so this is awesome.
i love that you made a long video on your cosplay! you got recommended to me through your yelan cos shorts so I'm happy we get to see more of your process.
edit: can't wait to see the outfit vid 😆 you did so great on this cosplay!
Grüße an Benni und Jakob, absolut geiles Teil.
PS: 12:52 war ne geile Stelle :D.
This is so cool
Tu trabajo es increíble, es tan real tu cosplay que párese casi sacado. Literalmente del juego
Te felicito 👏👏👏
Great job!
For people without 3d printers, i kinda hope this is still possible with eva foam *cries
Corgi squad!
