With a PVC mast, I find 2 trees I can tie some cordage between approximately 5 to 6 feet from the ground. I then place the PVC mast against the cordage and secure it with a quick loop. This makes it hands free and will support the mast without bowing. Love the videos!
Cool. Mine comes tomorrow. Good on ya for trying out ideas and implementations! Wish I had some of that surplus mil mast you've apparently scored. Thanks for sharing bud.

Just got this antenna. The handle slipped right off easy after a few drops of isopropyl alcohol down the grip. It dissolves the glue.

how many times did you wrap the coax around the PVC for the DIY Balun?
Was there a part 2 ? Could not find it.
Shoot air from a compressor between the grip and metal and it will come right off without risking damage to grip.
the extra hole is for their mounting bracket
Thanks for the info.
Steve
That extra hole comes threaded to match a camera tripod mount.
hEY JW WHATS THE MOST RNGE YOU VERER GOTTIEN ON 146.52 WITH THIS YAGI?
Around 30 miles from my local hilltop. It's all about line of sight. Most people use an antenna like this to make a satellite contact.
@@hamradioportable1630 ok thanks ..roughly how high altitude would you say your hill top is?
Looks like the antenna needs a counter balance weight. And maybe some guide wires to keep it straight?!
They are called "GUY" wires!
@@jfrphoto01 Okay. Stop being sexist! Who cares!
Now that’s what I call a saggy Yaggi at the end😂
I guess Im kind of off topic but does anybody know of a good place to stream newly released movies online?
@Joel Eugene I would suggest flixzone. You can find it on google :)
