love it at 2:13 where the heels of the shoes fell off but the model walked perfectly..I didn't notice anything wrong until I replayed that part and notice the heel came off..haha what can I say..modelling level: ASIAN.
People complaining about the fashion aspect of this video, please, do us all a favor and go back to your American Eagle or whatever you wear. This is fashion. It's an art. It doesn't have to be wearable. It's all about the art.
the oragami dress was a piece of art, felt bad that the models had to walk upstairs in the dresses as big as that! like c'mon, more people should have helped out
I am a model, and one time i wear a wedding dress from here to Tokyo and believe me it is soooo hard to walk with it. Every second you're thinking ''don't fall, don't fall, please don't fall''
i feel bad because those heels are just to high while wearing very tight outfits or very lose all over the place dresses. walking without looking at your feet is hard
couture pieces are around 20.000 to 100.000 dollars per piece, and they can be modified when ur buying them, so by example a huge dramatic dress can be toned down if that is what you want, only the richest of rich can buy these and frankly they do get sold ALLOT
That Model still owned that runway even with that wman protesting right infront of her, good on her for pushing her out of the way, " bitch its her moment on that catwalk not yours"
It's haute couture, therefore, it won't hit retail racks. The people who buy it go to the designers themselves in a Paris showroom and either buy the dress off of the runway or have one custom made (there is a 30% discount given if you can fit into the dress the model wore especially considering haute couture gowns can cost as much as $200,000.00). Usually, haute couture is purchased by the elite women in the world and big time fashionistas... Not just Gaga! Hope this helped!

Their not freak shows, their just wearing those clothes to showcase the artwork the designers created, these types of clothes are not meant to actually be worn.
1:49 is couture, wich mostly gets used for photoshoots or museums, its more an expression of art and craftmanship, or it gets bought by super rich women and gets toned down to theyre liking.
its more of an art presentation, those pieces are from the couture line not the ready to wear wich means its not going into store, its only one piece and they can be bought by stylists *for photoshoots or red carpets* or they go to museums, or they get bought by the richest women and either get toned down to theyre liking, couture shows are always extravagant its more a presentation of art and craftmanship, and allot of people think its beautiful such as myself
These people fall because they are made to walk unnaturally. No one on the planet walks with one foot swung over into the path of the other foot. The models are forced to walk that way to give an exaggerated impression of hip sway. Then there is that ridiculous height (platform) to the entire shoe sole as well as the heel. The runways are highly polished for looks, not safety. No one really cares about the people who are the models. Model falls & sprains are at this point, part of the show, suggesting the apparel is a thing to 'die' for. Bets by everyone attending are won & lost on who will likely fall, & laughter accompanies it. The worse part is the message that females are to bend, fold, spindle, & mutilate themselves (anorexia, sprains, hairline foot fractures, balance anxiety, constant hunger) for someone elses pleasure & gains, never theirs. It is all as exploitative as 'beauty' pageants.
calaftheeast You just repeated everything I said, including you don't give a shit about the models--nobody does. You flip them off like they don't matter.
dumbest comment here next to the first ass that answered you, to do the ''catwalk'' is not an abuse to the models, to exagerate the walk is part of the show, they're fashion actresses, no one force them to walk that way 24/7 so before bashion something related to fashion do a research.
Fashion.....NOT MEANT TO BE WORN? My dear, that is EXACTLY what is meant to happen with fashion. It is one thing to create "art" clothing...another to make clothing you see on the street every day. It is something all together different to create artful clothing that can be worn!
@maryamsm Uhh. Well that yes, But the Haute-Couture clothes no. The Pret-A-Porter no. It's hand made. And please they last if YOU make them last, it's called taking care of them, and if the handle rips it's called REPAIR if the heel comes off SHOE REPAIR. and clothes well the Seamstresses. You don't know nothing. and they only reason why it's because if it rips or whatever then Just go back and Buy a NEW one. =]
heel falls, "bitch ima wrap this show up." keeps walking.
"Heel falls" part shows that this model is fucking pro !!!!!!
that girl who lost her heel during runway still rocked it 2:16

Let's make a glass runway and put some vegetable oil on it. 🤣🤣
The model who fell during Couture 2002 (at 0.14) is Hana Soukupova, and the one who fell at RTW 2003 (at 0.52) is Bettina Weitz.
exactly god bless you, people dont understand the craftmanship the art the creativity that goes in every single piece of these dresses.
Those freakin runways are too SLICK man! That got damn floor looks like the Winter Olympics in Sochi for ice skating, what do they expect?
That that heels falling off isn't noticeable without highlighting it is a testament to how fucking COOL that model is...
Please give a big applause to the model who did a catwalk traffic... She is struggling...
the model with the heel fall was flawless. i didn't even notice what happened the first time watching it
I laughed way too hard when I saw peta lady.

"Fashion is more Art than Art" -Andy Warhol
For the last time....THEY'RE COUTURE DRESSES. It's art, not everyday clothing. Christ.
i feel bad because those heels are just to high while wearing very tight outfits or very lose all over the place dresses. walking without looking at your feet is hard

Fashion is art indeed.

Wow, that one with PETA is crazy..

"IT PAINS ME PHYSICALLY TO SEE A WOMAN VICTIMIZED, RENDERED PATHETIC, BY FASHION" - Yves Saint Laurent
well f/w 2003 was quite eventful, wasn't it?
Nice video.
The idea of freedom of expression through clothing is great, but to me, some of the clothes feature are just ridiculous. Just my opinion.
1:49 is couture, wich mostly gets used for photoshoots or museums, its more an expression of art and craftmanship, or it gets bought by super rich women and gets toned down to theyre liking.
to all those who need a name of the song - Spalding Rockwell "Vicious"
You see what happens to models who allow themselves to look ugly. They get punished by the gods on the runway.
The one dislike is Bill Gaytten.
no wonder they keep falling over, look at their feeble legs and platform shoes and those big coats they are wearing are probably pretty heavy
cool video, but what's the name of the song in the background? thanks.
Can someone explain to me the point of haute couture? Is it meant to be worn or displayed? I haven't seen celebrities wear them.
The song
its more of an art presentation, those pieces are from the couture line not the ready to wear wich means its not going into store, its only one piece and they can be bought by stylists *for photoshoots or red carpets* or they go to museums, or they get bought by the richest women and either get toned down to theyre liking, couture shows are always extravagant its more a presentation of art and craftmanship, and allot of people think its beautiful such as myself

I am not a fur fan, but man that was awesome.
"fur shame=PETA" going against designers for killing animals and using their fur in their fashion clothing lines.
I love how the second model shown pushes that women then the secrurity drags her off the stage
I feel that the designers are wrong for giving these girls to small shoes, thats why they damn ankles keep buckling...smh
