This channel deserves way more subscribers! Keep up the great work and stay true to the hobbyist by providing thorough and honest reviews. Thanks for the chance to win those MIP bits
I felt the same way. I was really into what he was saying and saw your comment come across n thought yep they are right. So I subbed up and turned on notifications. Thank you for pointing it out.👍
I just stripped a bunch of screws working on my car yesterday and that mip bit set would be MASSIVE! You've definitly convinced me to get that Kraton for chirstmas this year
Total agree with you about the Kraton V6!, Beef up the essentials and added a cool clip list Body. Yes, the arms are still weak, but they are cheap and really easy to change and how often you do that is depleted by how your driving skills are. Great videos!
I love my Kagama 6s and I'm getting myself some MIP drivers for Christmas. I finally catastrophically stripped out a grub screw holding the CVD to the stub axle and it won't drill out because it's so recessed. I have a new steering block and am waiting for new stub axles and then I'll pull the pin from the CVD and keep the shaft and throw away $20 of parts because i stripped a damn grub screw that was too recessed to Dremel a notch into. I don't know if i correctly named all the parts above. So yeah, MIP tools are now officially as cheap as my budget driver bits because the budget ones cost me $10 and $20 of parts. I keep adding ADU Racing parts to my Kagama as they continue to rock. This is the most informative and in depth RC channel for which we all thank you very much and happy holidays, sir. I got myself an AGF direct power servo 11-16.8v and it rocks. Even on 12 volts it gives 45 kilos of torque and i can once again turn sharp enough to roll over on almost any surface! People say it's overkill, but it's the best servo I've used by far. I fully tightened the servo saver, drove into a fire hydrant at speed while turning and the only thing that happened was a linkage screw ripped out its threads. I learned of AGF on this channel and I'm not disappointed with the performance. I saw Redcat's public announcement of the shocks issue and it was handled very classy. We sure don't see Traxxas doing that.
My first Arrma grom was the typhon blx and after seeing it was like this is kinda small but after running 3s I love it! It is very durable, fast, and a blast to drive! Back flips front flips 50mph definitely the best mini IMO
The Arrma Mojave grom 223 would be my 2024 pick of the year due to it being a lot of good stuff to a lot of people and useable in most places ,price ,spec and overall fun factor too :)
Definitely a good choice! I think the one eight scale trucks are more versatile which is why I picked it but it's hard to go wrong with the value of the 223S Groms
Just ordered the Outcast 4S 2.5…super pumped to take it out to the field and do some tricks!! Came really close to pulling the trigger on the Redcat but the Outcast is more what I’m looking for.
Hands down the Valkyrie. It was my only big new purchase of the year, and I have to give it to redcat. A completly different car to other in the past (Volcano EPX Pro). Redcat has made a new customer. Hopfully upgrades are coming.
Unfortunately I'd be surprised if we see very many upgrades for the Valkyrie. Doesn't seem like redcat's super interested in doing a lot of upgrades and the aftermarket isn't huge on supporting them.
Ha ha I love that the mini Maxx won the best traxxas of the year award! Love the honest review regardless of possibly getting hate from the traxxas lovers. Great video as always.
I agree with everything in this video, almost. I bought a lot of rigs this year, and one of my absolute favorites is my Super Lasernut. I have bashed it really hard, and it hasn't broken, or stripped anything yet. The chassis slap off of big jumps is a little unnerving, but it's a great rig. My Kagama is another great one. I actually sold my 6s Kraton EXB V2 because I wasn't running it after I got the Kagama. It's such a beast. Totally agree about Arrma's a arms. There's no real good aftermarket options for them either. Thats really all they need to fix to make the V6 perfect.
Yeah if there's one thing I've learned in this hobby and especially with this channel it's that everybody's experience is going to be different. It's awesome that you have had good luck with your laser nut. It's a really cool car and I'm glad to hear that people are enjoying bashing it. Mine broke pretty quickly and pretty frequently but you know that could just be bad luck.
@DoRC that's true, I've had terrible luck with rigs that are known to be nearly indestructible. All it takes is that one perfect hit or bad landing. Great vid as always.
Nice reviews… I agree with you on red at coming up with great vehicles and I now know they are great at backing their products. I have yet to try any MIP products since getting into Rc but I hear that name all over the board bashers or crawlers
Yeah I think redcat definitely needs some serious credit for how they handle those situations. I suspect most companies don't do it that way because it's not the best thing for their business but it is the right thing to do
I do need to get some bits and some kind of drill or driver, it would just help so much. As of right now I'm just using an LTT screwdriver and works well enough. However, when I have to screw in 24 or 32 screws into hubs into wheels, having a powered driver would be a delight. Thanks for the recommendation on those
Yeah check out the no cry one. It's pretty inexpensive and overall a great driver. You obviously need to be careful when working with threads in plastic but once you start using a power driver you'll never want to go back. Honestly the only time I'm ever using hand tools and videos is when I want to talk and I can't really use the driver at the same time
Yeah they are expensive but they're totally worth it. The only "issue" Is that sometimes they're hard to actually get into the socket of a screw but ultimately that's a good thing
I do XT90 for anything under 1/8 scale and then QS8 for anything larger but primarily out of convenience. You don't really need anything but XT90 or EC5 for up to 1/8 scale. Anything larger than that I would go with QS8.
If you have good trigger discipline and don't go too fast you can use a drill you just have to be really careful as they can spin fast enough to actually melt the plastic threads in the part you're working with.
Yeah I tried several different brands before settling on the no cry including gyro screwdrivers and others but especially with the mod I did in the other video the no cry still comes out on top. It's both slow enough and fast enough for pretty much anything you'd want to do without melting threads and it's powerful enough that it'll twist itself right out of your hand if you're not careful.
I love the Kagama 6s. I def want to get the v6 kraton but I have a maxed out v5. The holidays is fast approaching and that set would be awesome under my tree. Thanks
That v6 is very tempting. Just have to many cars already. On the new ones maybe the arms are the weak link. Started with a old one and on those the diffs where the weak link. Even with EXB diffs I still go through those before arms. Maybe I don't bash hard enough. lol And well pavement and no slipper kills drivetrains.
Love what you do keep up the awesome videos. Lots of awesome releases in 2024 I purchased 5 new vehicles. What is in store for 2025. Looking forward to it.
For me this year the best car has been the Mojave grom…… got mine and made it brushless and done blew up over five motors( trying and testing stuff😈) but I put 4 3s 2200 mah packs thru it every day and have the biggest smile 😎 still gotta get a 223 blx in black but will just probably be a shelf queen 😂
Dude, thanks for the videos these are awesome and you really learn a lot from these videos. I think that the new v6 kraton lineup is awesome and that arrma could give this lineup so many exb parts is really cool. I also think that the 223s lineup for arrma is a great thing because since they can save in price with there 2 in 1 system they can add a new center diff to things like the vortex.
ARRMA Typhon - I HATE that they force you into using a specific battery system that's not compliant with most off the shelf cars. I LOVE my Kagama 6S, that thing is the best!
@@DoRC Interesting... I just got mine last week and doing my initial google search I came up empty. Do you have a recommendation? I'd want to go to Xt60 or Deans to unleash my existing battery supply.
I completely agree. If you have a smile on your face then you're doing it right. The hobby doesn't really serve any practical purpose so fun is the goal
not even a mention of the arrma fury 223s? a mid motor, rwd, long wheelbase truck now with brushless power and a gyro for a good price, thats the one new car i actually bought. the sct body holds it back massively and i wanna see how it goes without one.

Man those bits and that screw driver is desperately what i need for my trucks. All I have is the hex screw drivers and man its badly starting to kill my elbow when having to wrench on any of them
the mip bits would be AWESOME to win i really need a new set of tools all together mine are very old and worn.... speaking of chargers i need to find a decent priced charger that does 8s lipo do you know of any????

@modzilla74 no no. I actually try to keep as few cars as possible. I can't afford to keep everything. Right now I have probably 15 cars but I'm still trying to sell a few more.
Best RC info channel of 2024: This one!

@bradduranso534 thanks for the sub!
Well done. Thanks for the shoutout with our VECTOR XL!
It's an awesome ramp!
I'm not a kid and getting a Maxx and ramp under the tree would be a good Christmas for me too!
Big thumbs up to Redcat this year. Bought an Ascent Fusion, Ascent-18, and a Valkyrie during black friday sales.
Agreed. They have definitely done a lot this year
I just stripped a bunch of screws working on my car yesterday and that mip bit set would be MASSIVE! You've definitly convinced me to get that Kraton for chirstmas this year

I’m pretty excited to see what 2025 has in store for the RC hobby! 2024 was a really good one! 😊

That MIP set 🔥🔥🔥

Definitely a good choice! I think the one eight scale trucks are more versatile which is why I picked it but it's hard to go wrong with the value of the 223S Groms
You better be a genius to use the radiomaster! The amount of information is overwhelming!
It definitely has a sleep learning curve. That's the unfortunate downside to a system that does everything. It does everything
Great stuff Kagama is turning heads
Love your vids. First rc since I was 10 is the typhon grom and I can't be happier
Did you get the brushed or brushless?
That v6 is nice.
It really is an awesome truck!
Here for my MIP bits 🤞
Happy Christmas and good luck for the new year!
Just bought a typhon grom & I love it! Nice content!
Just ordered the Outcast 4S 2.5…super pumped to take it out to the field and do some tricks!!

Ive got my V6 on preorder in the UK and cant wait for it to come. Love the fact its your Car of the Year!
Awesome video.....Mojave Grom Blx for Rc of the year.
Definitely a cool little car!
Great vid. Would love the MIP bits 🎉❤
Really like the look of the new kraton 😍
Definitely a good looking car!

Love the videos , ur very thorough and speak well. Seams like u have been narrating awhile . Great job!
about as long as I've had the channel :-)
Those mip bits would make working on RC a more enjoyable experience.
They definitely do that!
Awesome videos, I love my groms!!!!!! Favorite cars of the year !!!

great vid, again ! Really would appreciate those mip bit
Gonna have to agree on the Kraton 6s! Definitely best out this year!
I agree with the typhon blx being the best mini of the year
Definitely!
It is good to see the RC car market catching up to drone multiprotocol transmitters. Replacing the receiver every time is very archaic.
Dude love your videos that being said I'd really like those bits lol
Thanks for the great video! 🎉
Can’t wait to get my hands on that Kraton
Arrma killing it in 2024.
Definitely!
Great video again 👏 Arrma Kraton is on my list for next year
I wish Corally blue vehicles looked as good in their pics as they do irl. I ended up buying a red only to realise the blue looks soooooo much better
Can't wait to see how those mini car will improve next year, also will like to see more rally cars.

I say anything from the grom series from ARRMA is deserving of top spot just because of the value for a RTR you can enjoy yourself or give to a kiddo.
Excellent video
Thanks!
MT12 will connect to SLT in a stable build very soon. nightly test build has SLT working great.
That is fantastic news! Have you tried it with the new two-in-one systems?
Best reviewer/tester on RUclips!!!!! Keep up the great content brotha🎉

I do love manual tooling, but you might convert me with MIP
I've always had a soft spot in my heart for the 3s Big Rock wish they would bring back that body style.. #MIPtools 🤟👍
I like the V6 kraton to be number one of this year.
Thank you again for the content and i am a big fan of the Kagama.
Just picked up a tlr typhon. Cant wait to go out and bash it
Any car that make you happy is car of the year 😊
Tryin to win that set 😂 MIP tools are the best period….. just got a set….. why did I go the hard way for so long😫😩
Yeah they are expensive but they're totally worth it. The only "issue" Is that sometimes they're hard to actually get into the socket of a screw but ultimately that's a good thing
@ you make the best informational RC videos on RUclips keep it up…… Rek RC has the best action footage 😎💪🏾✊🏾
Great review! What is your favorite battery connector for 1/6, 1/8 & 1/10? Should I use XT90? XT60? E5? Or ??
I do XT90 for anything under 1/8 scale and then QS8 for anything larger but primarily out of convenience. You don't really need anything but XT90 or EC5 for up to 1/8 scale. Anything larger than that I would go with QS8.
I agree my experience with MIP hex bits have been amazing. I’m looking to get another set for track/travel use too
Been waiting for this video for awhile! Love the videos!!
I would love to get those mip bits! Do you think it would be okay if I used a 20v drill on rcs?
If you have good trigger discipline and don't go too fast you can use a drill you just have to be really careful as they can spin fast enough to actually melt the plastic threads in the part you're working with.
Nice list, would be awesome if a new kraton roller released soon
Unfortunately I kind of doubt that's going to happen. Horizon seems to be going away from their rollers.
@DoRC luckily there's still the kagama roller
@TheSaintBoss yep
Omg i love your newest vid you were right when u told me id like this one haha your the man!!! Love it!
Glad you like it but this isn't the one I was referring to. I've got another historical one coming soon
@@DoRCohhhhh haha i feel dumb… but now im even more excited got something to look forward to!!!! Love your content thanks bud
The Gen 2 bits are awesome! I want to get the no cry, I have the Hart mini screw driver, it's $24 bucks and did ok
My stock bulkheads on my Kraton always broke and caused stripped ring n pinion. 6 months with my V2 EXb and no issues !
Nice roundup video and I agree with all you said in the video ;)
Yeah I think a lot of my opinions were pretty safe ones :-) overall it's been a great year though
I learned my lesson years ago MIP tools are the way to go 😅
Nice video 😁
I love the Kagama 6s. I def want to get the v6 kraton but I have a maxed out v5. The holidays is fast approaching and that set would be awesome under my tree. Thanks

With a center differential you don't really need a slipper clutch. It really does accomplish the same purpose.
Love what you do keep up the awesome videos. Lots of awesome releases in 2024 I purchased 5 new vehicles. What is in store for 2025. Looking forward to it.
Me too! Can't wait to see what comes out :-)
I’m deff down with the Kraton, wish it was on sale for Black Friday. I need a winter basher, don’t want to run any 1/5 scales in the cold.

Mips makes some of the absolute best tools. Love all your picks. Also HEY @ARRMA kraton grom when?????
In for the mip , thanks for the vids & the giveaway
Nice video ive been interested in getting some MIP a little pricey but like u said best in business so must be ...
They are expensive but they're really good. I abuse the crap out of mine using them as pry bars and punches etc and I have yet to damage one.
MIP baby!!! Ohhh ya!
ARRMA Typhon - I HATE that they force you into using a specific battery system that's not compliant with most off the shelf cars. I LOVE my Kagama 6S, that thing is the best!
You can get adapters to go from pretty much anything to the IC2 connector
Same with the Losi micro , I plugged different freebie charger and battery went up in flames ruined my cow RC mat
@@DoRC Interesting... I just got mine last week and doing my initial google search I came up empty. Do you have a recommendation? I'd want to go to Xt60 or Deans to unleash my existing battery supply.

👍 Nice Video and Information
Love theses cars waiting for win😅
🤣 Looney Tunes style hole. I scared my dog laughing at that one.

Best car is what makes someone happy, basically any if not all. Minus the mini maxx of course... 😅

Do u think Traxxas put crappy diffs in the mini max just so they can make a version 2 or an ultimate version with the right diffs ? And do u have any cars from when u first got into the hobby? What was ur first?
I suspect it was just cost cutting. That's the primary driving force for things like this. My first real RC car was a first generation T-Maxx
I had the competitor of the Tmaxx, the MGT.. Still have it actually.. how many cars u have now? Do u keep every car u test?@@DoRC
@modzilla74 no no. I actually try to keep as few cars as possible. I can't afford to keep everything. Right now I have probably 15 cars but I'm still trying to sell a few more.
The best car of the year is the omni terminator, for me ( i bought 3 ) .... ✌👍
Epic! 😊
