Tesla's Auto Indicators Kinda Suck In The UK... Here's Why

Thanks for this. Only got my model 3 2 weeks ago and though this was a fault with the indicator stalk. I had auto cancel on as I liked it on motorways but as i don't really do that much in the way of motorway driving I'm turning it off as it's not really that reliable on other roads. I'm finding I have to manually cancel the indicators far more than I ever did in a conventional car that had a mechanical cancel on the steering wheel. It would be good if Teslas had a sensor on the steering column as well as relying on trying to work out if you have completed the manoeuvre.

The convenience function has to be a bug that is missing and must come back. I totally agree with you about the auto indicators that they are a bit buggy, also if you want to chance two lanes sometimes it knows cuz the wheel is still pointing in a lane change direction, but sometimes it cancels and the car things you are "accidentally" leaving your lane and starts all sort of savety movements...

Update makes it better because less effort to indicate more than 3 blinks and also When indicating right, push indicator fully down to left and it will switch without having to cancel first

Agree, turned mine off after 10 mins.
