With Cayde's death in Forsaken, I cried a bit because I'm a hunter main, have been since the D1 Beta. All because he's voiced by my favorite actor / voice talent who's had the characters I've related to in terms of how they hold themselves up. But this here had me choking back crying until Cayde said, "You're my favorite, don't ever forget that", what made it worse was the radio afterward, though.
I will admit this wrecked me as much as it did him , I think due all if us it was a culmination of ten years of our lives spent with this game , kudos to bungie for this expansion
The whole Dissenter story was something I didn't know I needed but added incredible depth to the lore and story. And the way we had to kill off all of those statues after taking out 3 of them in the campaign? Literal perfection. I can't think of anything I'd change with the campaign, the raid and how it integrated into the final mission. Cried my eyes out at the end, a 40yr old father and husband. The guardian asking for his ghost to be brought back gave me vibes of a parent who lost their child, begging for it to be brought back. That freaking music. 😭 It's so cool, I don't think anyone else has told us we're their favorite, except Cayde. And also, Ghost comes back to life and says the first words he says when he found us in D1. POETRY.
yeah those statues, literally made me go "OH WHAT FINALLY YEAHHHH, THEY KNEW WHAT WE WANTED" lmfao duuude I thought it was so cool when we chopped 3 statues in the campaign, but was a little disappointed it was only 3, then later happy when we got them all
This made everything worth it. Every great expansion, every mediocre one. All those bits and pieces of story we got while we goofed around with friends in the tower or crucible or seasonal thing. What a phenomenal way to cap off a decade of endless combat and dancing.
Way back in Shadowkeep- my first day-1 expansion release, I joined just before Black Armory- I remember finding your gameplay of the first mission and being so drawn to your audible excitement seeing the Pyramid, like someone finally reflecting the level of enthusiasm I had about it. When you posted less destiny stuff for however long its been, I was a little sad. Seeing your reaction to this (crying), as someone who myself cried at the ending and truly didn't expect Destiny to ever provoke something so strong from me, it feels full circle.
when this happened, for a second there i thought we were getting cayde as the voice of our ghost , or i was hoping he would voice our ghost going forward lol
I started playing Destiny in Beta. I hadn't played much since Shadowkeep, but kept up with the story. After hearing what everyone was saying about this expansion I had to hop back in. And man did Bungie deliver. And when that D1 music hit I broke down, then when Ghost said "There you are", I broke down even more. What an incredible journey.
In the last 10 years, I remember the Professor and his Clan Elysium fireteam taking on Oryx in the Knight's Fall raid and getting World's First. Keep up the good fight, Professor. We'll see you starside.
I finally got a chance to play tonight. I was also an absolute mess at the end. What an incredible W for Bungie. They absolutely nailed it. I even cried a second time while watching this. Thank you for sharing your reaction.
It was a mission secret from season of the seraph during witch queen. I'm not sure if the lore has been explicit about his origin or not but it's at least implied he was part of an exo experiment because he's repeatedly referred to as an exo dog in marketing material and maybe even in game. If I remember correctly he was called Project Archangel in internal records before we busted him out and got the name Archie when we figured out he was a robodog.
Too bad I stopped playing the game for a very long time, I can't follow the story and we can't start from the very beginning... because it looks absolutely epic!
as bad as they were, curse of osiris, warmind, shadowkeep, even light fall, they all added so much to the story. the downs of those expansions only made the good ones even better. until destiny 3 🫡
To be clear, I've never cried at anything in Destiny, not even Cayde's death in Forsaken. But this, had me absolutely wrecked
You don’t just spend 10 years in a game and not get emotional at its ending
@@TheGerardo136 hahahaha.
I have a disorder just for occasions like this. I didn't have any emotions for it

I have done that mission at least six times now. Each time it is the narrative. How hard it hits is never lessened and never will I feel.
same here I started tearing up at the very start of the mission where the ost plays and the everyone is there
This ending affected me much more than I thought it would.
The Dissenters themselves adhered to the Guardian Creed.
Devotion.
Bravery.
Sacrifice.

Death.

Couldn’t have put it better myself

I cried during this fight. 10 years to finally have this moment. It was beautiful.

I couldn't control any tears watching this for the first time. I can't even control the tears watching a reaction video of it
this is hood destiny the witness is getting jumped
when this happened, for a second there i thought we were getting cayde as the voice of our ghost , or i was hoping he would voice our ghost going forward lol
that would actually be terrible
@@ye9945 i guess its a matter of opinion :)
This was a great finale. It got me choked up too
Bro I wish I got that Cayde voice line about Saint lol I got Ilona saying he’s on the way to assist. Caydes line was way better!

Broman, you watched like 12 seconds from the cutscene, stop looking on your side screen 🤦🏽♂️
The most hype moment in the franchise
16:46 Except for the Valkyrie Javelin. R.I.P. Rasputin
I was fine until the D1 music kicked in then i was toast
Peak DESTINY!!
I absolutely love your reactions to Destiny content. This video is great.
Broman did a great jobbroadcastingg this live, GreatShoutcastt.
This ending was everything I needed. I won’t stop playing but I feel like I could stop and just be happy.
21:31 You see Broman put it together, Cayde's part in the end here. Dude understands storytelling. ❤
In the last 10 years, I remember the Professor and his Clan Elysium fireteam taking on Oryx in the Knight's Fall raid and getting World's First. Keep up the good fight, Professor. We'll see you starside.
Best Expansion Ever and Game Ending. Thank 🙏you BUNGIE❤❤❤
This was great to watch
"Look at the angry traveler, their so mad" < whilst shooting the witness with a hand cannon and dismissing the heavy ammo box 😬
You should use your scream, “ I’m a mess,” as a sub notification.
We all cry a lot when our beloved ghost dies
What's really cool is the fact that a 12-man activity started as a bug.
🤣😎
I finally got a chance to play tonight. I was also an absolute mess at the end. What an incredible W for Bungie. They absolutely nailed it.
I even cried a second time while watching this.
Thank you for sharing your reaction.
Imagine all the forces of the coalition coming together for one heroic final battle, and they see the Guardian pull up in the Clark Griswold ship😂😂
Cutscenes start at 20:10
It annoys me when streamers are too busy looking at and typing in chat while a cutscene is playing... Like bro you're missing things!! 😂
Where did the robot dog come from at the end?

The saint 14 thing is funny asf
Same lol
this is the first time EVER destiny has made me genuinely feel anything. Good job bungie but dont get cocky.
As bad emotionally as this was, not seeing your guardian's face really muted it. I didn't realize you could opt into that.
