How are you guys enjoying Final Shape?! I'll put out a review after the raid has concluded - but I'm really enjoying it so far!
Best expansion since forsaken, I hope this doesn't backfire on me if the raid and 8th mission is bad but this has been amazing so far probably one of the most enjoyable launch expansion experiences besides the server issues.
I'm in love with it already. Had some issues in the campaign where every time there was a cutscene it would crash, so we had to go back for those, but even through that I loved this campaign. I couldn't get myself off the game last night and I was just running around doing the new exotic quests, Micah quests, and overthrow. Error codes aside cause like grand scheme of things who cares right after a few hours I had 0 issues at all. Everything I've experienced so far has just felt perfectly polished, and like they really were just wanting to give us the best that they could. And they did man, they did.
I like everything except that prismatic felt more like a puzzle tool and less like a new weapon in my arsenal.

These cutscenes were super hype when I first saw them. The raid is going to be fire as fuck out of story alone. To add some context for some of the questions I heard, in the event it wasn't already explained. The first scene was all real were it not for it resisting we would've been screwed right then and there. As for the axe that was the one given to him by Saladin back in season of the Risen.
Did you guys miss the Cayde cutscene? It was part of the Luzaku/lost sector quest where you find the fissures of light midway through the campaign.
I think Targe does it on purpose. He knows Zavala is in a bad spot mentally and he makes the ultimate sacrifice to wake his ass up so Zavala can relay what hes learned to the others.
With him saying he wants to learn stasis I hope we get fuckin. Punished Zavala arc. Behemoth Zavala would go so hard.
I doubt Targe would deliberately leave his guardian powerless and mortal for any reason if there were another option.
So basically you and your homies get to play as the fellowship on their journey to mount doom. The guardian is the Frodo your fireteam is the hobbits, cayde is Gandalf
I think they mentioned "Shire-to-Spire"
by the devs so this is basically spot on.
The astronaut that inspected the Traveler on Mars... That was us! We were one of the astronauts in that Destiny 1 cutscene 10 years ago! Before we became a Guardian.

I'm not sure about that? Because that would've been before the golden age, and our Guardian was found in the cosmodrome where a bunch of people were trying to get on the colony ships to flee so time wise it doesn't really make sense.
Funny thing that happened to me during my first playthrough after Iconoclasm, before the cutscene where the taken starts going after you, I killed the entire group of taken with a rocket before the cutscene activated and thought that Bungie wanted to put a surprise in. Cutscene was the same
Essentially yeah, the Witness successfully created the Final Shape…but since he doesn’t have full control yet, The Traveler just said “nuh uh” and restored life immediately after.

So, I quit D2 after Lightfall was... well... Lightfall. But jesus christ, watching this is making me wanna play FInal Shape.
Also just gonna point out that the sword we are holding in the final cutscene is the sword that was left at our grave back in the Corridors of Time...
So we are going to die.

Is the quote I believe. You can double check it, there's plenty of videos of the Guardian's Grave on yt.

@@lunaria7067 Guardians make our own fate. Those were the Vex's predictions of the future, and, as we all know, the Vex are horrible at predicting paracausal beings.
I can say after completing the campaign I have been de buffed with emotional damage 10x
going to be honest that cutscene w the bird is prolly my favorite cutscene in the whole game

I know this is a dumb theory, but I'm starting to think the grave we saw in Season of Dawn isn't ours, but Ghost's. It kinda makes sense in the accolades he would get, considering he's been by our side all along. Again, it's stupid, and I doubt that's the case, but that would be crazy
it'd be neat, but there's no way bungie is just deleting our ghost, he'll get repaired at some point after the raid, be it from the travelers light or maybe micah
Has anybody noticed that the Witness watched and took a page out of Naruto Shippuden and is trying to use Infinite Tsukiyomi using the Traveler? Think about that for a min...... sounds a bit familiar.....The Witness/Madara is using the Traveler/the Moon to activate the Infinite Tsukiyomi (genjutsu/calcification) on people. Then, the Witness/Madara will evolve to Raid Boss/Kaguya for the final battle.

I really hate how we only get the last bit of story after the raid it feels so empty rn
It breaks the atmosphere of the whole campaign imo, last battle we hurt the witness amd barely escaped now we are just running around collecting ghosts
