The Whisper

We visit a nice stream in the south of Sweden to do some light dry fly fishing. The fish are pretty small but they are wild and native. There were bigger fish around but they were impossible to trick because of the low water. Martin uses a #2 rod from Winston and the reel is from Loop.

Great video work , fishing small creeks like that is so much fun . Many people don’t even look twice at water like that , but we do . I live in Ennis Montana and drop by the Winston Rod Company and demo there rods every time I drive over to Twin Bridges for lunch at the Shack . Unfortunately that has been interrupted with the COVID , hopefully it will give them time to build a casting pool to better demo there two handed rods :-)

Hi, Martin here. The rod is a Winston LT (LiteTrout), I think it’s the predecessor to the Air. At 7’9” in a #2 it’s a joy to fish in these small streams. I find that it helps with a slightly overwheight line in these tight quarters, a better caster than me might find it crude....
