    I some galvanized steel pegboard panels from Wallcontrol to help organize my camera gear. It also doubles as a charging station and organize my other tech. This really helped me to create a more efficient and productive workspace, not to mention a much more organized home office.

      A qq. Since I am naive with wood work and stuff stuff, could you please tell what kind of wood size and specifically screws have you used for your wood installation and then board installation on top of them.

    I use the same wall control pegboard for my shop and use magnets to add flexibility for small things. For heavier stuff that makes the magnet slide like you experienced, I glue smaller 6mm magnets (available in packs from Amazon) to the back of larger magnets and the smaller magnet fits into the peg holes. That keeps the magnet assembly from sliding down with heavier things.

    the neodymium magnets you are using are really strong so you can use either plastidip or use liquid flexseal to coat it in rubber to stop it from moving around

      Hey they were just plywood scraps I had laying around. Any type of wood would work. The main purpose was just to create a gap large enough for the plugs and wires. I think the thickness ended up being 5cm x 5cm. But it depends on the size of your electronics in the back. And the screws I used were about 7.5cm long. Just make sure there will be enough of the screw to go into the wall in the back

      @@BevelishCreations again appreciate your detailed information.
      I could see you used those white anchors which have 75lb load capacity. Do I need to find studs for them to install wood blocks or if I don't have studs on my small 20" wide wall its fine?
      And why you didn't use something like STANDOFF mounts?

    • @BevelishCreations
      @BevelishCreations  2 года назад

      Yes you need to use studs, or use anchors. You don’t need to drill anchors into studs. I always try to get at least one screw through an actual stud, and the rest can be in anchors. Actual studs are still preferred since anchors create big holes in your walls that needs to be filled in in the future if you sell or end your lease.
      What standoff mounts are you thinking about? Like the ones for picture frames and mirrors? I actually bought some of those and they felt flimsy. Maybe there are tougher ones out there, but all the ones I found were just rated for picture frames and mirrors. Once you have things like cameras, electronics, etc…hanging off of this, it’s really heavy

    Wait... How is there only one stud in that span? That's got to be more than 16 inches and you should have one directly on each side of the window to support the header.

    • @BevelishCreations
      @BevelishCreations  3 года назад

      I just mean there’s only one stud between the window and the wall, which is where I wanted to mount the panels

    You get a fancy wall control board then you just put command strips on it. WTF what was the point of using the wall control.

    • @BevelishCreations
      @BevelishCreations  3 года назад

      How should I have done it?

    • @Ender_Wiggin
      @Ender_Wiggin 3 года назад

      @@BevelishCreations 3d print something that would allow you to mount the charges and other items while interfacing with wall control slots. Otherwise you are completely defeating the purpose of an expensive wall control board to begin with. Whatever the solution is, it should not undermine the purpose of the product you are putting it on. ( Tape the chargers onto a Shelf, so the shelf is still moveable)
