Disgaea 6 not having magichange and dual wield is such a shame. Revenge mode is awesome too but I can understand it's exclusiveness to 5 because of the storyline.
Well in Disgaea 5 even previous character in the DLC got their own UniqueOverload skill. so its not about the story. I think Disgaea 6 was just rushed or they dont have enough budget since they have to do it all in 3d.
@@rjproduction486 they really cut 90% of what makes a game "Disgaea" for a 3d feature that's out of place and nobody even asked for. The limited classes?? The dice board mini game... Ghhhhh really bad decision. They did say that if 6 didn't sell well it'll be the last game but I think they're open now for making another game. 6 was such a disappointment tho story wise (actually everything-wise)
@@kumottakun6089 Disgaea 6 actually sold really well for a Disgaea game. And they're already releasing Disgaea 7 next year. Magichange/Dualwield is cool but I would say it's not a major part of the game for a lot of players. Lots of people probably don't use it either.
@Metal Sign I think people just get too attached to those mechanics regardless of how good they are.
@@EvyDevy You'd have to be green, or an idiot not to use it. Especially in farming XP/Mana for multiple characters at once. (For example, put Killia in charge of boot camp squad, Monster? in charge of channeling squad, and suddenly grinding groups is over very quickly.)
Honestly a really well done concept of sacrificing your monsters during battle to have a stronger weapon for just that battle risk vs reward i guess.
Not sacrificing at all the monsters get the same amount of XP and they go back to home base after two turns so if your trying to level up you can level up all three and then just imagine another humanoid using two more monsters for the XP as well it’s a crazy leveling up system then! 😊

I'll vote against it, since his was the only story that didn't hit me at all (to many character and story ideas resembled these of Disgaea 1 for my tastes, I preferred the parts that tried to be more of their own thing).
Nope I loved d3 the most the way u can team attack with skills needs to return and the story was ok

Ya know I never quite understood how they kept making the Nekomata's any other weapon except fist. Since they are martial artists you'd think they'd become a fist weapon but nope make them something else.

Liam, once you've seen it in game, you can change any weapons looks to it via item assembly. that's what he means by skins.

How can the characters in this game hold two weapons at the same time?
I forgot when it happens, but later in the game you can unlock the Ability Squad. Assign characters in it and finish 50 battles with those characters on the map (Item world is a good place for that) and they will learn the Dual Wield Evility. Sadly, this evility is one of the few that cannot be shared via the Character World.

According to a newer reply, you magichange 10 times and it unlocks a bill that needs to be passed :)

the black and red sword is the Yoshitsuna or something like that from carnage item world.the blue one you get get when you max out your sword proffessioncy,then enter the item world.it will appear in a special room when making your way through floors 40 and higher i believe.

Are magichange weapons better than regular weapons?
yes,magichange weapons are better than regular weapons.however,they aren't something that you can unlock as a permanent weapon to level up and stuff,in case you were wondering.you can however,unlock magichange forms to use as cosmetic appearances,wich is done through the item worlder and selecting item assembly.

Bro most of these magichange are just the character riding on a weapon now lol. What happened? Humanoids like the succubi used to just be their wing and maybe tail representing them on the weapon.
They really put zero effort in those skills. Theres pretty flashy and elaborated ones and then there's this
I would argue that they're more simple because they aren't blocked behind levels or weapon mastery and you can use it with any character effortlessly. But then again, D4's giant magichange specials are a thing, thought I don't know exactly how they work because I never played that game.

This game has WAYYYY too much content, characters, this combo shit, etc. it might be a fun enough game but these Disgaea games are always tedious.
They’re tedious because thats the point. The goal of the game is to max out all the shit and defeat the big superboss at the end. If you come into disgaea expecting anything else you’re gonna be sad
If you're overwhelmed with only this much content, characters, combos, etc. Then Disgaea ain't for you~

BlitzkriegOmega at least in d4 when they giant magi change the skill sized change. D5 is still just one monster absorbing another with a slight change in animation tell me how that's revolutionary
Le'ts see.... With SOME characters, like Metallia for instance, the chance is actually IMMENSE! The whole point is to try out different combinations and see which make for the most powerful and absurd combinations.
See, Metallia when you first magichange, she's made into a broom for you to handle, and treated as as a wand. From there, You can add in another monster, preferably another..... They become a giant dark staff with sparks flying off of it. And that's just metallia + another monster that normally DOESN'T turn into a staff. Imagine what will happen if you use one that DOES become one!
In the end, it's all about experimentation, diving into the system, finding what breaks it, and exploiting it. Just like any other disgaea.
