Nah perfectly adequate if you consider them at max potential. It's just enough lol
Attacks in Disgaea: At first they're pretty normal, at low levels, like in any RPG. At higher levels, they start to get a tad silly. And eventually, the camera starts being in space more than it is on the planet the attack is being used.

They are even more "over the top" than the summon animations from Golden Sun.
Disgaea is a game we need MORE of! Nippon Ichi(?) Does their job perfectly with some of the best pixel-animated video games to date, especially for rpg related games! We really need more works from the famous studio because their games have some of the best stories, animation, and fights of any company anywhere!
Thing is they specialize more in effect animation than they do in sprite animation. If you noticed, the majority of poses here are pretty stiff, but NISA are experts at making things look ridiculously good with a little bit of flare!
Im excited to see how their 3d models skills will look.

Fun fact: Thats from Disgaea 2, during one of the first cutscenes where Rozalin asks if shes being held hostage.

@@alvinvalentino5797 Yeah its really weird. Something odd must've happened, maybe with legal rights to the voice acting that they didn't consider at the time.
I still laugh my ass off at the fact that one of Adell's battle voice lines is just him low-key throwing up.
And if you tire of it, switch to the Japanese voices and most of them are great

Ahh Disgaea, where the main game storyline took 10 hours or less to complete, but the required grinding to do anything other than the main storyline took years. Item world+level 9999 made me lose a month or so of time to it.

@@alvinvalentino5797 Nah, I picked it up and kept going to get to those absurd levels. Not all at once, lmao. I did grind on one other game for about three weeks straight though, to this day that is the most time to grind I put in.
@@hygrave2892 I remember when I was a kid, my favorite game was Final Fantasy 8. I would grind for weeks (I didn't have friends) and I still wouldn't be able to beat certain fights. What I didn't know at the time is that the enemies grow in level as you do. I was just making it harder on myself 😆 Now I know that the best way to become OP in the game is to use the card game. By playing cards you can become strong enough to one shot most any enemy in the game, and you can do this before the first mission.

@@naijuwandawson1587 I don't know about the other games, but in 2 at least Big Bang was the highest level Knuckle/Glove/Fist Weapon/Whatever you wanna call 'em move, not one of Adell's Unique moves.

He was in La Pucelle and in Phantom Brave, but isn't in his ogre form in either. In Pucelle hes a Manticore and in Phantom Brave hes a Shroom.

English dub turns axel’s love dynamite T into the saddest attack in the game, because in the original Japanese his theme song white tiger starts playing during the animation.

Adell is one of my favorite characters from the series but damn did they choose an absolute awful array of lines for him. Not even his signature, "That's just my style!"
In general characters repeat their lines way to much.

I have a question: do you know why my stats stay the same after a certain level while getting a character to level 9999? For instance: my sage’s INT stops growing after level 6000
Use reincarnation and shards
Oh I got something that can combine with reincarnation and shards. Use the items you get after extracting interrogated demons. Magic extracts + shards is a good combo

In case of maid, she absorbs the MILKY WAY and throws it as a arrow, to hurt a single enemy

KashKey It looks like they just changed his color palette. If you notice his character in the upper left corner, you’ll see that his design and color is still the same.

it's probably most obvious here because you're seeing each attack back to back, so in the game they probably got away with it.

Is it me or is Laharl stronger than every other disgaea mc?
I don't think they actually rank strengths seriously plot wise but in disgaea RPG laharl is pretty OP
Likely when he's older he'll be one of the strongest like his father, Killia has been holding himself back throughout his own game but he and Valvatorez are Tyrant overlords limiting themselves from going all out at all times. Valvatorez if he drank blood would likely be the strongest protagonist. Although both Mao and Laharl when they get legitimately angry have bad endings where they destroy everything (planets, universes, etc. and nothing is left) so that could be a hint at just how much stronger they can get.

Are all unique skills equal, and dependent only on stats/weapon mastery/skill rank/skill level? That is would a hypothetical S rank Blade rush be stronger than a lower rank killer spin?

I came here just after watching "Disgaea 6 Unique Character All skills". Just to wash my disappointment away. Yeah, I already miss the 2D ...
In game, while playing the demo they look good. Sometimes things just gotta change, idk how to say it without sounding rude but it can't stay 2d forever and changing is advancing the series... sorry I sound trash lol

I think that Red Magnus is Mao’s Father. D5 is a prequel of all disgaea titles after all and Mao’s Father is a giant Overlord who is referred as the strongest Overlord and guess what Red Magnus can become a giant and calls himself the strongest overlord. What do you think of this?
DLC is non canon, I assume...
Haven’t played Mao’s so I can not be sure...

While I can say I have been a fan of the series overall for quite a while, I would also have to say I sort of fell off the train a bit somewhere around 3 or 4. And while the skill montage is always a cool thing, I admit I probably wouldn't have clicked at all if I hadn't gone "Is that Metallia?" I recently got the Witch and the Hundred Knight as a bundle, and despite being a NIS game I genuinely didn't think it would appear in Disgaea anywhere. Did they ever reference Zeta Hero Project?
In Diagaea 3's remake, Pirohiko becomes the rep for Peta Fire, and it's awesome. In 4, he's a DLC character, but he only has one move? No idea why, but I think he ended up being bundled with special weapon skills. Unlosing Ranger (the protagonist of ZHP) is an unlockable in Phantom Brave's PSP remake. Darkdeath Evilman is a postgame boss in Disgaea D2, with a really cool evility that pays homage to his battles in ZHP, imo. He returns in D5 as Proto Darkdeath, and stalks the Item World if you pass the right bill.

Can you tell me please how can i to get stats 9M I'm try to kill baal and I'm playing this game 120h and still my stats weak 😖
He has a whole series of videos on that, you should watch his five part video on 9999. Yes, it focuses a lot on sage abuse, but sage is really the key, she makes farming shards ridiculously easy and combo that with a maid to make 5 people getting those insane shards at a time. if you want a quick summary, you need a sage, with evilities from twin dragon (attack when don't move), plunder (cus why not get stuff to sell while you are at it?), explorer (so you can dupe items), and magic conversion. If you are 120 hours in, I am guessing you have access to land of carnage and double illusion area (if not, you should get on that). If your sage is lacking, you can grind 10-1 to raise your sages skills levels, if you need the sub classes, go into a LoC item, strongest you can find, have her geo blast a geo symbol, gency out. utilize your squads to make the most of your mana/xp/skill farming as well.
