nice sounds, I am really starting to realize how interesting FM synthesis can be and how it really compliments subtractive synthesis as it covers different territories...
Yes! Fm is amazing, and the reface makes it pretty easy to program. Fm synthesis is a whole universe of sounds and no synth player should overlook its potential!
Great video! The sounds are amazing, I am trying to get into FM synthesis & this gem of a synth by Yamaha looks incredible. However, I am really trying to find some aggressive/thick sounds such as the "Detuned Saw" (made by analog synthesizers such the Yamaha Reface CS). I believe the Reface DX can produce those as well as FM synthesis is much deeper and complex. I just have not found that anywhere yet.
Thanks! I'm not sure about reface but you might want to take a look at other bigger fm synths like the older sy77, tg77, or newer models, modx and montage, they have more waveforms .
I'm not so good at playing demos, so I don't do many. My limitations became my style over 20 years and 30 albums, just like the pioneers did in the 1970s 😀
From the prefix DS, it must be one of the Korg Ds8 converted patches that you can find in that link, but I might have customized it and changed the name, I don't remember now.
All refaces are great and different, and I'd have them all if I could. Dx is the only with patch memory, you could say it's the most versatile, but you won't have the more specialized piano and organ sounds from the cp and yc.
The CS is pretty interesting as well. Amazing sounds you can get from these things. But the DX is more versatile as the other commenter said. I get my DX tomorrow.
Subscribe to the channel! It's important and helps a lot! Thank you!

FM is amazing, I have this Synth and you and others are encouraging me to keep trying to make usable sounds via FM synthesis.
The reface makes programming a joy, it always brings good sounds, and the solid internal effects really help too. Enjoy!
@@JobimSynthMusic Thank You!
A year ago, i sold my reface dx... I regret that
It happens... I only sold mine because I bought a TG77
I bought it again 🤣
@@GLI00M how’s that going?
I sold mine cause I got a MODX but I miss the immediacy of the Reface
Is that the original sound i heard or its because you have some effect running on the "Grand Piano" at 13:30?
There are no external effects used, all the sounds and effects come from the synth itself.
@@JobimSynthMusic thanks man. really helpful. :)

I'm loving the YC.
they are all great, I almost bought the YC a few years ago
Good job, I love your sounds "FlautaGJ" and "Spacephuzz" !
The spacephuzz was a really cool patch, I miss it!
You got about as much skills as me on keys but more balls to post it. 🙌🏻

Hi man great demo :) I really loved the "DSsyncry" patch around 5:45, did you get it from the link in description? Cause I did not find it :(
From the prefix DS, it must be one of the Korg Ds8 converted patches that you can find in that link, but I might have customized it and changed the name, I don't remember now.
@@JobimSynthMusic Yes you're right, did not see the Korg DS8 section on the website, there's indeed two Syncry Patches ! Thanks a lot man :)
Does it have a factory acoustic piano sound ?
no, it doesn't, take a look at reface CP , great piano sounds there
@@JobimSynthMusic Thanks. I wonder if will be possible to load acoustic piano sounds from that Soundmondo site into the Reface DX.
Spacephuzz is amazing. Does that come already on the DX or do you have to download it?
As far as I remember, I programmed it from scratch, but I dont think I kept a backup of it, unfortunately.
@@JobimSynthMusicyou spent all that time creating that wonderful patch and didnt write the parameters down or put it on soundmondo?
Damn let’s hear it for synth vocal
Wait, is the dx actually the best reface?

Did you program these sounds with the sounds that come with the dx?
I programmed about 6 of those patches. the others came from different sources. Check the description for a link. Thanks!
@@JobimSynthMusic do you have anywhere the patches you created? I am interested about the jobimorgan, is very eerie.
And voices!!
