Ok can we all agree that the music Siobhan uses is good and matches the place she’s in perfectly Her edits are amazing and the cutscenes are really good The prerecorded stuff in between consults pages and code blues Basically what I’m trying to say is that your videos are amazing ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I was so scared when I saw the code yellow pop up, because at my hospital that means bio-terrorism attack so I was nervous all of a sudden just like "wait, what the heck!?"
I'm in nursing school and I love seeing how others in health care work. Very interesting seeing into a residents life. I love these vlogs. Thanks for taking the time to make these and interact with us. 🤗🤗🤗🤗
"skip to 4:00 directly if you want to watch me on call" No thanks, I want to watch every second of your vid. I even won't blink if I can.. question: Have you ever lost in your hospital? I mean thats all looks like the same and the route looks so confusing.. thanks ❤️
Hi Marcelino! you are so sweet!! i definitely did get lost when I first got to the hospitals because they are often multiple different building connected on different floors.... it is not very practical at times!! i'm ok with it now... i know the fast ways!
What I love the most about you and your vlogs is that you’re always smiling and have a positive attitude about everything (even with all of the craziness) going on!! ❤️
Okay I’ve always been intrigued by medicine and I LOVE these vlogs; they’re so informative and a cool inside look as to what really goes on in a hospital. Thank you for showing us around!!!
I swear everything you say “I’m going to get a little sleep” internally I get anxious when you get a beep and have to get up for a consult. Love you vlogs. I am a provider myself (an hematology/oncology NP)
You know. I watch your vlog to inspire and motivate myself. I dunno but you look like you’re enjoying so much that it makes me happy too whenever I forget to enjoy my job. Thank you! Keep posting pls! :)
Scleroderma caused the heart and lungs of my mother to harden causing secondary pulmonary hypertension. This is what caused her death. What's so strange is that her skin was affected only on the hands and she lived only 3 years after diagnosis. Most people will have skin hardening all over and live years with this disease. It's been 11 years since passed at age 54 and there is still no real, effective treatment to stop disease progression...just management of symptoms.
Dentist here - I've always had so much respect for our hardworking, altruistic medicos. I hope your videos remind the real world how hard you guys are working to help people. People get far too upset over waiting times and forget the people working their ass off behind those walls. And you still had a smile on your face at the end of the day!! Keep it up, remember to take some time to take care of yourself too :)
This is so cool and interesting! I am 30, almost 31 and have psoriatic arthritis and psoriasis. So neat to see a doc running a rheumatology clinic. Love your vids!
Your videos inspire me to work harder so much! I'm starting college in a few months and taking up Nursing, then hopefully proceeding to Med School! Thank you for doing these videos. Love from the Phippines ❤️
That was fun to watch :) I have so much respect for doctors, I feel like their job is way harder these days than it should be and I am just glad there are people that want to help anyway. I just wish all doctors were as sunny as you! Thanks for all you do!
Love these video so much. Specially when I recognize all the hospitals your at since it is in my home city. Love to see the "behind the scenes" of what happens.
It really is! You don't think so because youtube is such a big community. But your videos were randomly in my recommendations a month or two back. I just started watching them and started to see all the familiar places. I absolutely love seeing your videos now every week!
I really just love your channel!! I find so fun and interesting. You are so kind and compassionate. You are also very good at explaining all the medical terminology!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I just discovered your channel and I’m loving your videos!! I’m also an MD, from Portugal. This is my first year working, but not in residency already, as we only choose next month (I’m so nervous and excited at the same time!). Our first year after med school is something called “General Residency” where we rotate in more broad specialities (like Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Primary Care)
Hi Sofia! Oh yes Canada used to be like that, but they got rid of that one year of rotating... it's unfortunate because not we have to decide on our career path so quickly!
Thank you so much for posting videos like this. They have given me new insight into how our hospitals work and why our wait times seem like a life time. Just know if you ever head up to Barrie I will treat you to a tea!
It's so interesting to see this kind of stuff. I can't imagine being in a hospital for 28 hours. Props to you! Also, the fact that you mentioned Rachel from Suits is awesome, I love that show. Haha! Code Yellow seems like a terrifying thing not knowing where a patient is and if they're in harms way or not. A big props to all the doctors, nurses, and medical teams that help prevent all these things and stuff.
When I broke my anckle I had a doctor just like her.OMG happy and supportive doctors make your day I was so scared I wish all doctors were like you ❤️❤️❤️
I found your channel this morning and have been binge watching all day! Love it! Keep it up! My brother was diagnosed with scleroderma! He has it in his arms and legs mostly right now.
Violin MD yeah, not your priority to be scared when patients need you so bad hahah but anyways, i really like your content, i've been binge watching your videos since i've got obssessed in a medical tv series haha
I'm currently writing my thesis, and i was feeling reaaally unmotivated lately... Today i've been watching you in the background, and i've been so productive it's crazy!! You inspire me to work harder towards my goals! You never complain, you take responsibility and are such a good role model! Love from Belgium x
It’s so lovely to watch these videos after knowing she’s specializing in rheumatology! What. Wonderful journey you’ve been on! So proud of your hard work and sharing so much knowledge
Mcmaster hospital was actually where i was born! It's also my dream to work there one day so its super cool to see someone in the same place and position that i hope to be in, in a couple of years :))
OMG YES your friend totally looks like Rachel from SUITS. Awesome video Siobhan!! Thanks for all your fire editing skills & groovy background music, you're so good at this!!!!
Rachel from SUITS is set to be a princess in the United Kingdom. The actresses' name is Meghan Markle. Search it up! May 19th is the date of the wedding, I think.
i love love love watching your videos😂my brother is also a doctor but we live in different countries so its always fun to see the difference between medical life in your country and my country. i aspire to be a doctor aswell!
I just came across your channel a couple days ago and love your videos. It's so cool to see what it's like to be a doctor and see what doctors really do in a day.
Seeing videos like this is a good reminder to not always be angry when it takes the doctor so long to come back etc. You deal with so much and who knows what will happen next. I’m usually pretty good at remembering this, as I’m usually to busy panicking because I’m still working on breaking down the wall of fear towards needles and eventually doctors that I built up over years. 😅 hopefully I won’t be meeting you in the hospital setting, because being sick is no fun....for now I’ll enjoy your videos from here lol. Also fun to see buildings I recognize
watching your videos make me feel like i want to be a lot more positive , but also makes me really tired because your days are so busy 😂😂 ! i think it’s amazing how upbeat & passionate you are about your job ! so glad i subscribed xxx
I love your videos! You always look so happy and I love your positive attitude! You always make me smile and you motivate me so much to work hard! I'm working on getting into a PsyD program to be a clinical psychologist and I can't wait for my rotations and to work at a hospital w/ patients. You make this lifestyle seem so fun! xx
Oh that's exciting Lauren - you have to tell me what the rotation is like when you get in the hospital! transitions can be tough when it's a new environment, but it can also be so exciting!
I love your Vlogs... I have always wanted to be a doctor but due to physical health limitations, I decided it wouldn't be what's best for my body and the ability to raise my daughter so I decided to still go into the medical field in a different way as an MAA but ultimately get my degree in Child and Forestic Psychology... So, I love how I can watch everything you do and it fills the little missing part of my heart
i remember one time that i had this back/hip pain for months, and it was so bad at times but i always hoped it would go away. eventually after i got sick of the stabby pains, i went to the hospital and this doctor in rheumatology diagnosed me in like 5 minutes. made me regret not coming in sooner, but i was so thankful because now i had an explanation and prognosis. it ended up being sacroiliitis, something that was taken care of with about a week or two of routinely taking naproxen.
I really really wish all doctors were like you!!!! I would actually like to go to the doctor!!
haha thanks Joseph!

I don’t understand how you have a smile on you face the entire time even when it’s stressful

Carl Hezel I’ve read in certain hospitals it may be different?
She actually made a video about that!
i love seeing you doing your rheumatology rotation knowing that’s the specialization you ended up going with! it’s so cool :D

Violin MD do you live in Canada?
Eli Casey I know you're not asking me but she does live in Canada cuz Tim Horton's is only in Canada
There are some Tim Horton's here in the U.S.
Badyn Woodford O really?! I didn't know that well thank you for telling me!

Wait what did she mean by that?
@@shreyagandhi22 in healthcare, everything and every one seem to always go crazy on a full moon. Don’t ask me why, but it never fails.

I love your videos sooo much! You're such a positive person & always respectful. Glad I found your channel! Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
Thank you!! hope you have a great weekend too!
How do you deal with getting woken up in the middle of the night and still be on your A-game to diagnose and treat patients?
Hi Raymond... well I think when you actually go and talk with people, work as a team, examine a patient.. it really does wake you up
Raymond Crowthers w
Your mind isn't asleep Raymond, only your body is. Your mind is constantly aware and waiting for that buzz.
I read this as “A minus game” and I was really confused for a bit 😂
I can tell by that wonderful smile that you love being a doctor!!

I'm so so sorry about your mom's death💔💔💙💙

Thanks so much Leo - wasn't sure if I was going to be able to get this video out on time, but I managed it at the last minute this week!!
Made me happy to see that this is 10 minutes long!! Thank you Siobhan!!
Oh good! Thanks Rebekah... i sometimes worry if the videos get too long, but it sounds like you like that!

This is very educational for how to be a balanced healthy person. Considering the stressful environment, she stays focused and calm.

How does your work schedule get set up? Do you set up your own work schedule? Like who makes your work 24+ hours?
