I'm feeling so emotional with this video. My grandma died of covid-19 last October and I hadn't seen her in 7 months... I still feel so much pain and I miss her so so much. It makes me insanely mad when I see people going out and aglomerating and sh*t, it's just so selfish and disrespectful... My grandma, who was not geting out of home and was mostly isolated from the world, died because someone who wasn't taking precautions and following quarantine correctly decided to visit her and then infected her. So, please, everyone, take care of yourselves, your families, follow isolation and quarantine correctly. We are still far safe from this nightmare to end, so take care

@@vicgamesvt9682 I understand where you are coming from, but there are huge problems because of lockdowns. The main one is they cause more deaths then the actual virus. The best idea is for people over 60 to isolate, and those younger to go out normally. Within 2 months there would be herd immunity, instead our government just prolong the agony of lockdowns, are not supporting businesses which are closed, giving out huge fines for nothing, police brutality, etc. We should never take away rights from people , because once they take it away, they never give them back.

I am so glad you and your husband are doing ok. I'm 75 and you made tears come to my eyes when hearing of your patient struggling. Myself and brother go for our first vaccine tomorrow.
It's at Disneyland and lots of people are hoping to get a shot too. Sadly, there is only so much of the vaccine and isn't enough for all that need one. As I watch you go about your duties I see
how hard it is and wish the very best for you and your patients. Thank you so much for showing us life's struggles. You show us the truth and that can be hard sometimes. You take care of yourself as well. We need people like you!! Thank You!!!

I'm positive many of your patients get better because of the medicines BUT also from the positivity you give off when treating them. God bless you Violin MD Siobhan for everything you do to help people the best you can at the moment, no matter how hard or difficult the situation faced. Going outside without a sweater - on a cold winter evening - is surely a walk in the park. You are a blessing for all. By the way, I wear that very same N95 mask whenever I go out shopping in busy public areas! Very comfortable fit imo. I just wish like 500 million more of them could be (could have been) manufactured in expanded facilities every few months, if you get what I'm saying, with all the stimulus funding et al... Anyway, if you or anyone else who read this who also was infected already has an opinion, my question would be: do you feel that infected family members or spouses should be isolated for a couple weeks in a special private or govt sponsored 'Infected patient' center w/ daily food service for those with asymptomatic or mild/moderate symptoms? Or do you think it's best to just continue staying the course with allowing infected household members of a shared house to isolate within the house even if they possibly hypothetically could infect others within the same shared living domicile ? Thanks in advance! keep healthy , be thankful and grateful.

I’m so sorry you got sick but so so happy you’re doing well now! I’ve had many coworkers with it (nurses in Arizona so it was inevitable) 1 spent a week in ICU and unfortunately we lost one of our own :( I’m so incredibly thankful I’m 2 weeks post full vaccination to protect me at work as I’ve had covid patients this last week and we have 100+ Covid patients in the hospital at a time, floating everywhere and it’s just mentally and emotionally exhausting and heartbreaking. Half of us question if we even want to do nursing anymore as there’s no sign of things letting up any time soon. Make it harder because my dad is battling stage 4 cancer so to protect family I can’t be around them and that is so hard. Hope you all stay safe and healthy, keep hanging in there

I think this is the most intense video of yours that I've watched so far! From hearing you say that you and your husband both testing positive to hospitals in Toronto getting overrun with infected patients to the patient who had to get intubated and the chances of her survival being low! I'm grateful for the video covering COVID-19 but it just goes to show you how much the people who aren't healthcare workers, like myself, are unaware of what hospitals are like! I'm glad both of you recovered and I appreciate the videos!

This disease is just...no words and the new variants are terrifying. ***I heard that the vaccine may not protect against the South American Variant? Would you be able to do a video on the different variants and what you aka The Medical Field, knows about the vaccine vs the variants?***
