Hey there, I love how positive you are and how excited you are as a nursing student (I'm with you there, I graduate as a LPN in May and have 2 more semesters for RN.) I just really want to encourage you to be careful about what you are posting online. It is very risky to be filming in any hospital like that (even as an employee) and even more risky as a student in a clinical rotation.

@@melanininscrubs What are the hardest classes that you've encountered so far? I'm only in my first semester and taking the Fundamentals of Nursing along with A&P II. Both classes require a lot of studying but compared to some other classes I took before I came to nursing school (I used to do Computer Science), they are A LOT easier to understand. I failed calculus which was when I knew CS was not for me 😂

    • @melanininscrubs
      @melanininscrubs 3 года назад

@@TheArmedNurse honestly the prerequisites were tougher than the actual nursing classes A&P was tough for me but the nursing classes seem to be easier...it just is so much studying and learning to think differently. It may be that I’m in an accelerated program which means I’m in school year round nonstop. I don’t get much of a break and it makes things overwhelming, but I get my bsn in two years so it will be worth it in the end 😩

    • @TheArmedNurse

@@melanininscrubs I'm in an accelerated program too! I finish next year. I agree. A&P is incredibly tough but it's doable. Memorizing all those bones, muscles, and tissues was torture.

One is that if there happens to be someone in the hallway/bathroom or whatever it would be a breach of privacy or if there happened to be any thing in the background like a folder with a patient name or something or a computer screen with charts pulled up etc. Another reason if any patients happen to see the picture online of us in scrubs at the facility, they have the patient oak to complain of us being lazy/ not getting work done. Hi! I’m currently a student at chamberlain and would love to answer. So it’s a three year program and whatever classes you’ve taken previously will knock down that time frame. So English, Anat 1 and 2, micro/lab, Algebra, psychology, Chem. And then some history electives and sociology electives. With all of that completed then you’d finish in 2 years and 4 months. I hope that helps a little. If you have anymore questions or info on the process don’t be afraid to message me I’d love to help anyone.

Great video. Does anyone know if there's a way to select what departments you do clinicals in? I know that I'd rather work ER (preferably in a hospital with a high rate of trauma patients). I am not a normal Nursing student. I spent 10 years as a grunt in the military and then another half decade working as a security contractor. I have no interest in working in a maternity ward or anything like that. I do my best work under high stress or in confrontational situations (this has been my adult life). I'd like to work an inner-city ER or any ER with a high rate of trauma patients. I know clinicals are just practical application and schooling, but I'd rather just focus on where I know I want to be, rather than spending that time training in an area that I have no wish to go to and will probably avoid like the plague.

You are so lucky that you get to do real clinicals because I am in my last year of nursing school in Florida and we haven’t been able to do real clinicals only simulations online. Uuurrggghhhh. I don’t think we are getting the experience that we need.

Here in North Texas they’re letting us do clinical and we’ll also be taking care of Covid patients in the pediatric ICU. They gave us N95 masks but still. It’s crazy how much different clinicals are from state to state!

It is up to our clinical instructor if we can wear nail polish or not.

Is this for your RN or BSN?

Chamberlain only offers a BSN program. They are extremely expensive though. I was going to go that route but when I had my financial aid interview, I realized it was going to cost over $90k! So I went to a local state school instead for much cheaper.

Chamberlain is a BSN nursing college, however they do have an RN to BSN option. I'm one of the lucky ones because I got numerous scholarships as well as a partnership with the hospital I work at. I get 15% off my tuition because I work with a partnering hospital with my school. I pay around $13,000 a year.

According to the bibles genealogy the world is only 6000 years old which disputes fossil records and all science which prove the earth is 5.4 billion years old
Jesus said nearly 2000 years ago:Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom."
And he said speaking of end times when the antichrist would come: Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.
And speaking of slavery which the bible permits: When a man strikes his male or female slave with a rod so hard that the slave dies under his hand, he shall be punished. If, however, the slave survives for a day or two, he is not to be punished, since the slave is his own property.
Also the tribe of benjamin was permitted to capture "a damsel or two for himself" and force them into marriage to unwillingly bear children by rape.
Deuteronomy 13:12 you hear it said about one of the towns the LORD your God is giving you to live in that troublemakers have arisen among you and have led the people of their town astray, saying, "Let us go and worship other gods" (gods you have not known), then you must inquire, probe and investigate it thoroughly. And if it is true and it has been proved that this detestable thing has been done among you,you must certainly put to the sword all who live in that town. You must destroy it completely, both its people and its livestock.(including people who had nothing to do with it)
