😂😂 I’m dying at the “nursing mom “haha. I feel like that a lot on youtube with all the other young nurses haha. And I’m over here in with spit up all over haha. Thanks for watching, I’m so glad it was helpful! ❤️
Thank you so much for making this video. You're right, I have been through so much and I have survived. I can do this. As a 40 year old single mother who has been caregiving for my own mom and spending lots of time in the hospital over the last 10 years, I have had the burning desire to be a nurse for years. I have also talked myself in and out of it, dropping out of prerequisites because I thought it was going to be too much and ruin my relationship with my now twelve-year-old son. It's videos like this that help to remind me that I have what it takes an I can accept the challenge humbly. I have survived so many other things. I can do this. From the bottom of my heart, thank you
You CAN do this! We are always our own worst enemy. I am a 27 year old male who has been dilly-dallying for years now, even though I know I could be a top-notch nurse. Raised by nurses. I always doubt my capabilities but I'm tired of limiting myself. I'm starting believe I too can do this. Best of luck to you.
i've been in the medical field for about 7 years already, mostly on the clerical side, and now i work as a porter. when i graduated high school i wanted to become a nurse but my mental health took a turn and looking back i honestly would not have survived nursing school and all the challenges. now that i'm 27 i truly feel ready to take the plunge! thanks for making this video, it's made me quite excited to get started.
Thanks Liz for the Video, I go into the CNA Program this Year August 2022, Nursing School Starts October 2022 it’s a 12 month Program for LPN& I would love to go back for another 1 year in becoming a RN, I’m excited to Start your video was helpful& and really GREAT Tips🩺
I'll be entering into the RIBN program, four year program, where I'll be attending my community college and university at the same time. Basically, I will get my ASN in my third year. After that, take the NCLEX exam during the third summer. Then I will get my BSN in my final year. I'm very glad I got accepted into this program because it's about 40k to get my BSN. The program is very rigorous though. After that, I'm planning to get my NP and hopefully work at the hospice center. Wish me luck!
I found your videos almost two years ago pretty soon after I switched my major to nursing. I remember watching this one in particular and feeling like I was never going to get in anywhere. I will be starting nursing school in January, and I finally get to come back to this video.
Thank you so much for this because I have been freaking out about "not being prepared." When you said "relax," as dramatic as it sounds, I nearly cried because it's so hard to know what to do/how to be productive/wise! 💛💛
Love this!!😭 I start an ASN program this fall and I've had so much anxiety with people telling me it's going to be so hard and I'm about to have no life and I'm going to be eating, sleeping, and breathing school.... This video definitely helped calm some nerves!
I cannot thank you ENOUGH for these videos! I am 50 and just starting this journey. I take my college entrance test in a few weeks. I am taking it all in and ONE TASK AT A TIME, so I don’t overwhelm myself. These tips and insights are beyond appreciated! Again, THANK YOU!!!! 🙏🏼
I really needed this video!! I just received my acceptance letter today 6/11/19. I start this August!! I have children as well and it feels good to know someone else can juggle having kids husband, Etc. and still excell in nursing school. I pray everyone achieves there goals as becoming a nurse. Yay us to coming this far! 🙌 WE GOT THIS
Liz! That last tip was like a light bulb 💡 lighting up. Makes so much sense to come home from work cook and do hw before relaxing yet I have done the total opposite this whole time. Thank you so much for your videos please keep them coming
Starting my Direcr Entry MSN in August! I’m so anxious. But I am Older and I loved you mentioned meal prepping and having a strong routine. That’s exactly what I’m Doing because my routine is awful. Thanks!
Amazing timing for me! It's finals week for my last semester of pre-reqs, and nursing school starts in just over a month. Almost time for 5 back-to-back semesters of stress, but it will be so worth it!
I am planning to attend nursing school. Bumped into your channel. Thank you for sharing and giving some insight to have a positive outlook. I was once a pre nursing major in my younger days but changed majors. Now I feel that it is my calling to get back and be a BSN RN. I wish to fulfill this dream and help others.
I just received my acceptance letter for the ABSN program in the mail today! I am so excited!!! and I am so thankful I stumbled upon your channel!! Thank you so much for your videos. They are informative and super encouraging. I really appreciate that you take the time!
I start nursing school in late August and I’m excited but also terrified. This video helped a lot though so thank you for that!!! I will graduate in May 2021 as long as everything goes according to plan!!! Yay!!! Good luck to everyone else on their nursing journey:)
You're a breath of fresh air! Truly. I'm 25 , mother of four (7,6,5,4) Ive been told by everyone that I won't succeed. I won't make it. But this video is very motivating. It's been my dream to be a certified nurse midwife. This video is very informative and motivating. Thank you!
I am so happy I found your channel! I love your positivity and honesty. I recently found out I got accepted into the nursing program at the local community college, starting Spring 2020! Super excited yet nervous! Already subscribed; can't wait to binge watch the rest of your videos! Heading to IG after this ♥️
I am a field EMT and made the decision to start Nursing school. I love the field of emergency work and also want to stay in the educational side of it too. I am up here in Maine.
This video really helps. I'm currently preparing for my entrance exam for nursing school. Thank you for sharing some advice and encourage us that we can do it! God Bless 💖💖
I'm getting my BA, but want to go into nursing knowing it helps people, it's in demand, and it's a good profession - this video helped immensely, thank you.
I love this video! Thank you for sharing your experiences and tips. I was a CNA for 15 years before i decided to go back to school and it is terrifying at times. Im doing (almost done with) my pre reqs and my goal is to start a nursing program next fall. Thank you again and i look forward to watching your videos!
I have to say that this video (i havent finished yet) is like the best thing ever. I plan on going to college for nursing. And i havent even stepped foot into a classroom yet and i alrrady feel likebi can do this. Thank you for this video! And like someone else said you are like the nurse mom. I could so listen to you teach and talk for hours on end. And still be leaning in wanting to learn more.
miss nurse Liz, thank you for the perfectly balanced amount of pep n info. it was genuine most of all....Also know that u have a thank you dinner waiting for ya if u ever come thru Athens GA. kudos nurse Liz !
I start the BSN program at UT Tyler in January! Thank you for this video! I feel relieved after watching your video! You have wonderful tips and advice! I’m looking forward to your video about clinicals! :) Also, could you possibly make a video about what to expect after graduating from a BSN program and begin working as a nurse?
Lynn Theodore Hi I start Lvn in January of 2020. I studied for about 6 weeks ,then passed my Hesi it was challenging, but I did it. Math was the hardest for me. Reading,English.vocabulary wasn’t bad at all.
I’ve applied to nursing school (regular bsn) for fall 2019 and am waiting to hear back. Finally working on my last prereq this summer (microbiology ugh). I’m a junior with 3 more years ahead if I’m lucky! So glad I found this video!
wow. i have been freaking out about starting nursing in september and feel like i really made the wrong choice. this is the only video that has helped me. thank you
Thank you for the amazing advice, the thought of nursing school gets me so nervous. This video really helped me to just chill out 😅 Also, I love your lipstick shade! What brand and shade is it? It's like the perfect natural shade!
I just discovered you today, and you are wonderful!! I've already watched 3 of your videos and look forward to watching more. I am 38 years old, married with two kids and began taking accelerated full time courses in Jan 2020 to get into the nursing program for Sept 2021. I worked full time at a children's hospital as an admin and wanted something fulfilling and decided to make this change as I knew I'd regret it if I didn't. I feel comforted to have these videos to refer to, thank you :)
I'm 36 years old and finally applied to get my nursing degree. I'm unfortunately losing my job as of Sept. 29th. I'm so nervous, but this video has helped. I have two teenage boys and want to make them proud.
What a breath of fresh air. Thank you for your honesty and helping to break thru some tough stigmas that have been attached to nursing school via social media and so on. Going into this new season with a new perspective thanks to you.
It's me watching this literally after dropping classes and deciding nursing has been something I have been wanting to do for a while. Im currently applying now. I loved this video. Super relaxing.
You are a God sent!! I'm a pharmacy tech currently who never expected to want to work in the medical field but truly found a calling for it. I like being a tech but there isn't a whole lot of room for growth. I've thought about being a nurse for a while but have questioned and doubted myself and my ability to do it. I've never thought I was cut out for something like that and while I don't think bedside will be my calling (never say never but I highly doubt it), I definitely think being a nurse and particularly an NP is my calling. I'm getting the process started by asking questions and mentally preparing myself for the prerequisites and being in a room with people who are a decade younger than me (I'm 27 currently) :p
I start LVN Nursing school in August. I'm excited but nervous at the same time. I have worked in healthcare for 20 years so I don't understand why I'm nervous, however, being a nurse has been my dream since I was little and I think that's 😅 why I'm anxious because my dream is coming true. Thank you for calming my nerves.
I’m starting my nursing’s program in a week and I have been so anxious. I feel so unprepared and am so afraid of failing. Thank you for easing my mind! 😊
It’s so refreshing hearing that some people (like yourself) worked while going through an accelerated nursing program. I just started my program (it is also accelerated) and I am working as well.
Love your video! Started a LPN program last week, I’ll worry about an RN bridge program later, lol. I’ve been a Med Asst for 10 years, began prerequisites for pre-nursing 2x! Mother of 2, working full time, & I couldn’t pull it off with the regard to credits & financial aid. I didn’t want to overwhelm myself with school work just to get more aid & assistance, being that I was already working 12hr overnight shifts… So 3rd time is a charm! Wish me luck with school and also during this pandemic! 😷 Stay safe, stay healthy & keep being the amazing human that you are Liz!
I’m a new subscriber. I start nursing school next month April, i am in the process of updating my TB/Rubella etc shot records, and finalizing all the other entry requirements. I’m a wife/mommy and 30years old. I am excited but scared as well but I know I can get through nursing school because i have a passion for helping others. Thank you so much for the tips & advice; very helpful 😊
Yes I totally consider going to nursing school. After being in the hospital myself over the last few years and meeting some amazing nurses there and because my mom is interested in medicine I got even more inspired to become something within the medical field 😊
This Video has been a breath of fresh air😭🙏🏿 i have been feeling elated and anxiety on how quick this process is going. Ill be starting on January 2023 so this video has been a big help thank you
What's up? I'm a senior in high school. I'm a dude. I've recently been accepted into my dream three-year BS in nursing program. This year I'm going to EMT school to dip my toes in the water and develop some grit, technical ability, and critical thinking skills. I'm beyond excited for the next years of my life. Thank you for all of this incredibly insightful information.
I just found your video and I believe it was a sign from the Universe 🙌🏼 I’ve been contemplating rushing into nursing school or take some time to first prep physically and mentally. Thank you so much for your video. 🌷
I am between nursing and a type of business major and I know nothing about nursing and the classes and I am not good at math and science so I was terrified to choose nursing but you made me feel a lot better about it. Just need to study and apply myself a little bit more. Thank you!
Oh my goodness! I found this video at the most perfect time! I start nursing school in January, and I was all stressed about finding ways to prepare and get ahead. Now I know I should be relaxing. A million thank you's for the tips! Definitely going to subscribe to your channel because I'm considering becoming an NP after undergrad.
I watched this video when it first came out. This week I passed my TEAS and officially got my seat in the 2021 Nursing program! I am rewatching ALL your videos! Thank you ❤️
I just go in nursing school! I start Spring 2020. Im super excited and at the same time a bit nervous. This video definitely made me feel better and calmed my nerves.
I am going to say something about reading, its good for your mind, I am going into nursing school with a BA in Psychology, I had to read a chapter 4 times when I took behavioral neuroscience and I wrote stuff down as well and highlighted some things. IDK how you got through your undergrad without reading at all but I can agree on the rest, there are harder majors out there than nursing ex. physics
Applying for nursing school in T-minus 2 months. 😳 I absolutely loved this video. Thanks so much for all the life-advancing, anxiety-cancelling, education-enhancing information. I pray I get into and make it successfully though nursing school. Best wishes to you! 💙
Once my coworker wife in New York was struggling through nursing school, her battling those challenges really got me pumped!! Reminded me of working at UPS and going to school. Don't give UP not for a second!! Life a battle, for those trying to tower for others.
Really needed this, thank you! I'm starting an ABSN program in May and unfortunately, it has been a little defeating when I excitedly tell my news to others only for them to tell me how tough it is going to be. Of course I know it will be hard, but this has been my DREAM since I started college! Happy to have found your channel and I am sure your videos will be a great resource this next year!
Your personality just speaks to me! I'm starting in January and I'm definitely buzzing with nerves about it, so this video was right on time for me. Thank you!!
I will be going back to nursing school but my first go at it....THE INSTRUCTORS DID EXPECT US TO KNOW EVERYTHING AND THEY CRAMMED EVERYTHING AT US AT ONCE AND GAVE US LITERALLY NO TIME TO STUDY... however it was a pretty crappy school so i will be going to UAB next go round and i hope to have a better experience and will still freshen up and learn some stuff because nursing school is like a full time job and it helps to go in knowing some fundamentals in my opinion.
I started to new to schooling about nursing I know it's hard but I do my best, because this is what I want, and want to reach it, being a nurse is not easy because the life of the people you always holding it,so I know God will guide us💗
**New subscriber alert** Your channel is fantastic and has answered every possible question I could have regarding getting into the profession. Nursing has been a passion of mine since I was a child. In high school, I attended a vocational program and got my CNA. Unfortunately, life has taken me in a multitude of different directions, both personally and professionally, and I did not stay current on the requirements. Twenty-six years later, and the passion for nursing simply won't quit. As such, I have decided to pursue it again. I work full-time and have a demanding career, which is the only current drawback. However, before I dive in, I plan to devise a plan to ensure my success. Thankfully my kids are grown, and I am single, so I have no obligations other than my job. I can't thank you enough for this channel! Your enthusiasm for the work you do comes through the screen, and it is the needed boost for people like me :)
You made me feel better so nervous but excited about my journey because my first degree is in education but always wanted to do nursing. And still completing my pre nursing requirements
You are God sent. I just got accepted into an accelerated nursing program, starting next week. Your videos are just what I need right now. Getting my anxiety out and motivations in.
I really wanna become a nurse and I’m a senior in high school and I feel like I’m not smart enough to become a nurse but I thank you for these videos because they’re giving me strength and not be afraid to be a nurse
Thanks for this video I learned alot. I am planning 🤞🏼 to go to nursing school. I've been a medical assistant for 10 yrs and I've procrastinated long enough.
Thanks You, Liz! Your videos have been very helpful and ease my anxiety 🙂🙃 Twenty two yrs ago, I was in school for Nursing and at that time there was so much going on in my life. In 2015, I did graduate with a Bachelors Degree in Health Service Administration. At the age of 39 years old it was a great accomplishment. However, I didn't see myself fulfilled working in claims and Billing. Since I have family in the Legal profession, I was preparing for LSAT Exam to get into law School. I'm very passionate in my beliefs and in making a difference. I then realized that Nursing has always been calling and passion for me. At the age of 45, I took the steps in applying to an Accelerated Nursing program designed for Healthcare professionals who have a Bachelors degree and have pre requisites that are C+ or Better. I also had transcripts from previous schools sent and 3 letters from an NP, a Nurse Manager and Dean from a Nursing Professor. At the present time, my application has been submitted and being reviewed. I'm currently waiting on my acceptance letter into the program for fall of 2022 ⭐⭐️🌟💫🌞🏵🌻🌼
Omg!!! THIS VIDEO JUST GAVE ME SO MUCH LIFE💜💜💜 I’ve been doing just that studying and I don’t start school until March!!! Enough said!!! No more studying for me!!! Ok I’m going in with an opened mind ready to learn!!!!
i applied to nursing school a few weeks ago!! i just found your channel and i’m so excited. i really appreciate all your advice, it’s so exciting to plan out the next two years of school!!
Hi im a high schooler I’m planning to take nursing program in the future, but I’m so scared to be a failure I ask myself sometimes if I could handle it and if im smart enough, since my family is depending on me and I want to make my family proud Im up for the challenge
I just received my acceptance email from Long Island University Nursing program for the fall of 2024. I have to retake some prerequisites prior to starting so I am going ro take them at a community college because it's cheaper. Im excited and nervous ❤🙏🏾
I'm currently getting my prerequisites for nursing school, and as I'm approaching my last two semesters before taking the leap, this video was the most helpful in terms of mentally preparing myself. I think this was the extra push I needed to work even harder & find the best possible studying strategies for myself in preparation. Thank you for the insight!
Your videos have so much substance! They have helped tremendously and I'm not even going into the program right now, still finishing the general ed. You rock! God Bless!
Thank you for this video! I needed the tips and pep talk :) i too am a mother, working full time and a wife trying to go to school! It will be so rewarding though
Hey! Just wanted to come back to this video and let you know that you really helped me out a lot. I was just about to start applying to nursing school and I happened to stumble upon this video. Made my life a lot easier, and I've shared your advice with many people. Second to last semester almost done and then I'll be looking to follow your advice for NP school shortly afterwards lol. Stay safe!
I failed out of nursing school...and now I'm waiting to see if I get accepted to another nursing school. Thank you for coming to my ted talk :)
I just got accepted into nursing school!!! ❤

I'm 36 years old and finally applied to get my nursing degree. I'm unfortunately losing my job as of Sept. 29th. I'm so nervous, but this video has helped. I have two teenage boys and want to make them proud.
Ugh I’m sorry about your job. What an awesome example you are setting for your boys!
OMG I am going to start nursing school at UD too. this upcoming spring will be my first semester.
What a breath of fresh air. Thank you for your honesty and helping to break thru some tough stigmas that have been attached to nursing school via social media and so on. Going into this new season with a new perspective thanks to you.
This is very helpful! I plan to start nursing school next year as this year I’m finishing up my fine arts degree.
I'm so glad its been helpful! Best of luck with school! You got this!
Yes I totally consider going to nursing school. After being in the hospital myself over the last few years and meeting some amazing nurses there and because my mom is interested in medicine I got even more inspired to become something within the medical field 😊
awesome! Hope you are feeling better!
I start nursing school this Tuesday, January 8th ahhhh!! I’ll be using notability on my MacBook to take notes and record lectures 😊
Awesome!!
Thank you for your encouraging videos!
I am 54 and seriously considering a career change, and your videos are really helping me.
Thank you!!
This Video has been a breath of fresh air😭🙏🏿 i have been feeling elated and anxiety on how quick this process is going. Ill be starting on January 2023 so this video has been a big help thank you
How is it Kevin?
What a cool background to go into nursing with! Congrats on your acceptance! Best of luck with your journey!
I just found your video and I believe it was a sign from the Universe 🙌🏼 I’ve been contemplating rushing into nursing school or take some time to first prep physically and mentally. Thank you so much for your video. 🌷
Glad it found you at the right time 🙂
I am between nursing and a type of business major and I know nothing about nursing and the classes and I am not good at math and science so I was terrified to choose nursing but you made me feel a lot better about it.
Congrats on your acceptance to your program! RELAX for sure! Welcome to the craziness! Thanks for watching :)

Congratulations on your acceptance!
Just started today! Pray for me!
How is it going??

Now there are audio books. That is a Huge help!
🙌🏻🙌🏻
You made me feel so much better about going into nursing school. Thanks for this 💙
Really needed this, thank you!
I know that feeling and it is NO fun. You can do it!
Your personality just speaks to me! I'm starting in January and I'm definitely buzzing with nerves about it, so this video was right on time for me. Thank you!!
Congratulations on your acceptance! So exciting! You will do wonderfully! You got this!
Best of luck with the rest of your pre reqs!
Nurse Liz thanks you’re so beautiful and awesome
I applied for nursing school and will find out if I am in the program in May. This video is fantastic!
What awesome experience you have going into it!
Starting my dream program this September!!!
Thanks You, Liz! Your videos have been very helpful and ease my anxiety 🙂🙃
Twenty two yrs ago, I was in school for Nursing and at that time there was so much going on in my life.

Stay safe!
I got my CNA certificate and I can safely say that I definitely want to go on to nursing school. I just have to finish some prerequisites first.
