The old Ranger pick ups were most reliable little trucks. I know a lot people still have these trucks some last to over 500,000 miles at least the one's in Florida that o know 💀🕷💀
Mate, I came to watch this video to persuade me to finally pull the trigger on getting a new truck. But not only did this video persuade me, but it had me laughing throughout the whole thing
My 2001 Ranger XLT 3.0 V6 has 337,000k on it runs like new never had to replace engine or transmission just kept it tuned and changed oil that's it still my daily driver.
I have a nearly identical white 2011 XLT Supercab with the same 2.3 4 cylinder but with the 5 speed manual transmission. Ford switched to rear disc brakes, roll stability control, 4 channel ABS and side air bags in 2010. Mine has the heavy duty payload option. Not many XLT Supercabs were made with the 2.3 and a manual 5 speed transmission.

I just picked up (pun!) a 2011 Ranger XLT with the V6 and auto with only $51k miles for only $2,500. Not quite as clean as this one, but really close. Previous owner didn't know what he had, apparently.

I thought XLT came with foglights and traction control. I guess that was optional.

@@2H2521 I just bought a 2009 ford ranger xlt automatic 4x4. How can I test if the 4x4 works on it? I notice the windshield washer isn't working. The wipers work but nothing is coming out. I checked the washer container and it has fluid in it.

the 4 cylinders are not worth a $1 especially with the automatic. they need rebiulds after about 150,000. dont buy 4 cylinder rangers!
you could say the same for the V6 with more moving parts and failure points. they are all pretty reliable, it's the automatic trany that you have to look out for.
What about manual?

Love Music mine has 346,000 miles. 03 xlt with the four banger. Manual transmission. Great truck I got it at 200k and have only changed the clutch. Lol. And no I’m not the most graceful I put quit a beating on her but she always starts up. The four bangers in the rangers are great engines ford has been making them since the 70s. There’s nothing that can really go wrong with it.... it’s an I4 😂 I’m sorry if you got a lemon bud
