Final verdict:
Due to the lightfang nerf and nightmare amalgam removed, menagerie isn’t as strong as it used to be. I’m surprised that you pulled it off as Rafam.

Yeah.... how did he pull off a managerie win in a game with no amalgam, 2 murlocs and no megasaur right? All he had to fall back on was 2 triples in his first 3 turns, multiple lookouts, an extremely early divine shielded foe reaper and extremely early lightfang to buff it. As raffam as well, such an underpowered hero from which hero power he gained no early power level tempo. if only he was at tier 5 way before anybody else. All at an 8.6k rating, notorious for being filled with strong players and not just a bunch of casuals forcing murlocs. Such a surprise win xD.
In all serious though, to say he had no Brann those things did end up pretty huge.
But again, when you have a Lighting divine shield foe reaper at a time where pretty much nobody in the lobby is even tier 5... you are going to win.

I think that Raffam has more probabilities of get a menagerie build that Curator, since with Raffam Kripp could level fast.

Since amalgam got removed lightfang hasn't been nearly as good. I genuinely think they could revert the nerf and the card would be absolutely fine
Honestly, they should. Apart from amalgam leaving BG, the game is a lot faster than before, and so its fine for lightfang to give some good buffs because it may only be for a couple of rounds or so
True, before, you could play Lightfang in a non-menagerie composition, because two Amalgams would count as two Murlocs _and_ as two different types, so Lightfang could basically fit in every composition that had Amalgam in it. Now, Lightfang only really works in true Menagerie compositions that can not use usual type buffs like Bagurgle or Goldrinn.
@sajti200156 its just because many of the dragons in hearthstone wouldn't work in BG as they have crazy effects: so blizzard would have to make BG exclusive dragon cards
sajti200156 Dragons usually have abilities based on whether you hold one, or they deal damage to minions. They don’t have many buff cards either, unlike Mechs, Murlocs, and Beasts. A lot of new cards would need to be made for it, which takes time

I have actually had a rafaam kill me with a menagerie build with my own amalgam he got on turn 2. I wasn't sure if I should have been proud of him, or offended

I recently got a very good menagerie run with wagtoggle. 6 units, hydra, psycho bot, 1 divine shield poison murloc, big demon, lightfang, brann. Taunt everything up, and but the hell out of them. It felt good to beat tyrion to get 1st.

People were saying you made a ton of mistakes, but other than endlessly rolling and passing on Barons, there was not much in the way of actual builds available that run. Pretty insane divination pulling this team together from that mess.

In my experience, managerie is still quite good. Bartendotron can pull off managerie quite consistently especially because it does not matter what you buy early game.

You should try pushing for triple khadgar and synergize it with murloc token minions, easy scaling, and it can get stupid powerful, stupid quick. Get megasaur or something and you have the game. This may be a good comp to feature brann. I would try it either with shudderwock or with curator. Possibly Elise, or Toki to get maximized rolls and scaling. Potentially in the late game, a good utility may be having bagurgle and baron, but it would be hard to fit. As far as mid game strategies go you could try getting a hydra and scooping up menagerie esque buffs. Another option, that could synergize with khadgar/token murloc is going old fashioned menagerie. Early game tidecaller is a must have. Any other buffs are fillers, such as cold light or rock pool hunter. If possible toxifin, for poisonous and use megasaur for taunt/divine shields. Taunt is not necessary, but getting the strong shield defender would be a good late game buff. Primal fin is clearly good here too though. If there is an opportunity for multiple megasaur, take health or death rattle to mess up those stupid beast and mech comps.

A) why are there no dragon cards?
B) why do we have a 4 cost card that buffs a minion type that isn’t even in the game?
C) why not make the menagerie magician buff a demon or mech instead of literally the ONLY MINION TYPE THAT ISNT IN THE GAME

A build that synergizes well with Menagerie Magician
FieryArctic that’s just wrong. MM literally only buffs 2 minion types that are in the game.... It’s more to synergize with Light Fang.
