It’s such a shame that Star Fox is slowly decreasing in popularity and sales are declining with every new game release. I think Nintendo should really consider an animated series, such as this video, to bring popularity back to Star Fox. This has so much potential for a great story line, action scenes, comedy, battle strategies etc. for it to become successful. Nintendo needs to realize Star Fox still has so much potential and I would hate to see the franchise come to an end.
I know... Everybody wants to play games where the mission is to do chores for other people. Video games began to fall apart with xbox 360 and ps2. Nintendo is the only system making games that aren't generic garbage.
Eh, you can blame Nintendo themselves for Star Fox's decline in popularity. They either a) rehash the same story with each game or b) use the series to experiment with horrible gimmicks, i.e. Wii U Gamepad motion controls. Ubisoft has done Star Fox a far greater justice with Starlink than Nintendo has in a long time and the sales between consoles show there's still interest in the franchise.

Star Fox can be multiple types of games. Release a soft sequel to 64 , and make another "star fox adventures" type game where you're on foot , with that grounded sense playing as fox and falco at least. Smash bros shows they can be fun to play with out of the cockpit My idea for a sequel to 64: fox falco slippy and a new character (peppy retires or becomes the general or something) back in the lylat system for part of the game and then travel to a different star system to give it a fresh feel
If I were to guess at what happened, beyond the knee jerk "Japan wanted to get rid of Krystal" explanation (which...maybe, but if that was the goal...why reference Sauria in the prelude short when any other hospitable planet would do?), I have an alternate explanation: Star Fox Adventures, beyond introducing Krystal, substantially changed the implied tone/feel/writing influence of Star Fox. In Star Fox/Star Fox 2/Star Fox 64/Star Fox Zero, the essential premise is "What if the X-Wing parts of Star Wars were all that mattered and starred furries?". Adventures...made it Star Trek TOS with Furries. Right on down to including TOS' staple "Everyone Except One Person is Laughing" ending. And, as much as Star Trek TOS is actually REALLY COOL, especially compared to other TV genre fare at the time (Trek's not as cool as Sean Connery Bond movies, but compared to, say, Lost in Space or Adam West Batman? BADASS), game developers were quickly, and increasingly, getting "Not TREK LEVEL nerdy." So Zero as a reboot, on a writing level, was a desperately flailing attempt to affirm "we're not Trek, we're totally not Trek, it's not that dorky to make something for this franchise" and...we're now in the middle of the longest gap between fresh Star Fox releases (7 years and counting) EVER. Yes, Zero's mechanical issues and the Wii U, at that point, being an obvious blood in the water console also hurt it massively, but...yeah, it also deserved to fail for that reason as well.
The 4 planet names on the front of Slippy’s magazine are the names of stages from Kirby Super Star’s Milky Way Wishes mode: Floria, the obligatory grass stage; Aqualiss(aka Aquarius), the obligatory water stage(and where you find Sword Kirby!); Mecheye/Mekkai, the factory stage; Halfmoon, the windy stage.
Can't believe this was 7 years ago. Here I am again, thankful for this love letter to my younger days on the Nintendo 64 ❤ Thanks for the great memories, Nintendo ❤
Right, Nintendo... Partner with Mattel and create not just a 26 episode series with this animation studio, but the full works in terms of merchandise. I'm talking lunch boxes, action figures, sticker albums, everything. Think 80's cartoons made to sell the toys type of deal, only with higher quality animation. I'm not a Nintendo fan, but StarFox is your one IP I would buy all of the crap for and get the DVD/Blu Ray of the series in a heartbeat. Also, a web series with the Star Fox puppets would be nice.
I love this! I wish Nintendo did more of these animations for their game worlds. Including Mario, Donkey Kong, Zelda, Metroid, F-Zero, Kid Icarus, etc. Make cartoons, anime, comic books, graphic novels, music albums, and more for your franchises. Open doors for INFINITE possibilities, Big N. At least consider other venues besides video games every now and then.
3 years late to this, but there was an F-Zero anime. Only the first 15 or so episodes are in English, but the full series is on RUclips with subtitles.

Just give us a traditional Starfox experience complete with on-rails shooting, dogfight sequences, alternate paths and secrets and big bosses scattered here and there!
I think Star Fox 3 is exactly what the series needs. It would build off the originals in terms of gameplay, characters, and story, and we'd get a new villain. Please no more Andross.

Star Fox can be multiple types of games. Release a soft sequel to 64 , and make another "star fox adventures" type game where you're on foot , with that grounded sense playing as fox and falco at least. Smash bros shows they can be fun to play with out of the cockpit
My idea for a sequel to 64: fox falco slippy and a new character (peppy retires or becomes the general or something) back in the lylat system for part of the game and then travel to a different star system to give it a fresh feel
I always thought that the Arwing from Star Fox 64 is more iconic.
If I were to guess at what happened, beyond the knee jerk "Japan wanted to get rid of Krystal" explanation (which...maybe, but if that was the goal...why reference Sauria in the prelude short when any other hospitable planet would do?), I have an alternate explanation:
Star Fox Adventures, beyond introducing Krystal, substantially changed the implied tone/feel/writing influence of Star Fox.
Who else wants there to be an anime series of this?
Broke: Anime
Woke: CG Pixar Film
omg i was about to comment there should be an anime series and I saw this- a Star Fox anime would be truly amazing!
Look up "A fox in space", someone is animating a whole show by himself!
I'd want a game with this cel-like art style. Actual Star Fox Zero reminds me too much of Sonic Forces
ME ME ME ME ME
Ok, Falco ragequitting at 2:26 is the best thing I’ve ever seen.
What a sore loser
Falco is so *salty*
Controller: *Bounces and hits in face*
Kinda like me when I lose when playing Star Fox 64 3D.
2:24
Star Fox is one of the all time greats, if you make a sequel, the audience will support you
"Out of his fur?"
"Nothing weird there."
PKMN Trainer Mark if only fox and Falco knew about the fanfics about them lol
WATCH IT!!!
@A Henderson The bunny got neudered
WATCH IT!!!!!
Nintendo please give us a StarFox cartoon or anime. We'd all appreciate it so much :)
Michal Pupek exactly. I would watch this XD
Michal Pupek They're thinking of making a Nintendo tv series and Nintendo movies.
A Fox In Space
Michal Pupek That would be so awesome!!!
Patrick Star I'm not a furry stfu you're a furry because of your profile pic of an animal
God that was awesome. Now we just need a TV series, and then do Zelda, Metroid, Fire Emblem, etc etc
+Chibi Koopa SPAGETTI!
+Miguel Rodriguez

Dear Nintendo,
Please release this on the Switch.
Thank you,

Saiyan 2301 🔚♋🔙
PS. Please don't shoehorn in motion controls the next time around.
Ooo
X2 but the original control please :'3 xd
No motion controls or some dumb “reticule” system on on a separate screen
It has been 8 years...... please bring back Star Fox!!
Nintendo should make a Star Fox movie.
Xavier Nintendo 845 They're thinking of making Nintendo movies and a Nintendo tv series on Netflix
Xavier Nintendo GamerBoy 2000 or even a cartoon. This could be the first episode.

Xavier Nintendo GamerBoy 2000 k good
Wonderful, wonderful. I got warm fuzzies.
Not being rude, but I think this is why Nintendo almost shut down your project, can't wait for it btw
Your animations are wonderful too, I've gotta say!
Looking forward to your awesome animation too!
It would be great if Nintendo remakes your Wolf design and put it there
Great to hear you liked this, I enjoy animation quite a lot.
6:37 well little bit of miss opportunity you could make slippy grab the hat with his tounge instead.
Can't believe this was 7 years ago. Here I am again, thankful for this love letter to my younger days on the Nintendo 64 ❤
Thanks for the great memories, Nintendo ❤
Right, Nintendo... Partner with Mattel and create not just a 26 episode series with this animation studio, but the full works in terms of merchandise. I'm talking lunch boxes, action figures, sticker albums, everything. Think 80's cartoons made to sell the toys type of deal, only with higher quality animation. I'm not a Nintendo fan, but StarFox is your one IP I would buy all of the crap for and get the DVD/Blu Ray of the series in a heartbeat. Also, a web series with the Star Fox puppets would be nice.
AGREED
Yee!
+TigerTails TV Damn.
+TigerTails TV By Tzeench I hope they do this. If only so I could get a set of Arwings for my desk at work ^.^
EVERYTHING THIS GUY SAID
Wow, they actually made Slippy likeable.
I am pleasantly surprised.
HE'S SO CUTE-
Star fox voice actor made a very good job in this
Yeah, it's the same guys from 64
@@starwindamada5313 I believe the VAs in this short are actually different from the ones in any of the games
Joe Zieja was the voice of Fox in this short. He's also well-known as the voice of Claude from Fire Emblem: Three Houses.
F-Zero GP Legend.
Well better yet. We're getting a potential... Cinematic Universe.😏
Nintendo announced that it would produce movies with Illumination and Universal 🙌🙌 Wish came true.. still bit more to go.
This game's winner is! Fox.

I AGREE!
Codrile Pin Agree
Yeah, I want this to be an actual series so bad!
Codrile Pin
That would be the only anime I would respect, everything else is trash.
DEFINITELY!!! That was just AWESOME!
8:47 the cutest moment ever. I wanna hug those soldier doggo's🥰🥰🥰
2:23 WOW!!! That was a sweet remake!!! Also did they say “Sauria”?!
3:45 …Well you do you Peppy
7:35 YEEEEEES!!! Thanks for that CLASSIC SCENE!!!
Yep, that's the only nod to the pre-existing continuity we're getting.
10:00 you forgot "DO A BARREL ROLL!"
Falco is "One of the best pilot I've ever met!"
*Crashes Arwing immediately*
Then wins on the next attempt.
if you want Nintendo to make more Anime like this, get to twitter and make #NintendoMoreAnime trend! spread this hashtag like a wildfire don't stop until Nintendo says yes!
AGREEEEE!!!!

+Cilverkid520 Or just go sign a petition, they're both useless anyway
#MOTHER3
We need a new Star Fox game ASAP
At least retool Zero and make it available on the Switch!!
A StarFox movie too in the future.
Hope nintendo realize the true potential of Star Fox someday. The universe is so cool and the characters so lovable.
If you guys notice. They've kept the script from the N64 at 7:28
Little details!
I love this, it gives every character more purpose and personality than it did in ANY Star Fox game. I NEED more.
10:00
"DO A BARREL ROLL"
That's classic
Who else is revisiting in 2021? :D
Nintendo... Please, give us some more shorts and PLEASE give us a Starfox that doesn't bank solely on gimmicks! Just give us a traditional Starfox experience complete with on-rails shooting, dogfight sequences, alternate paths and secrets and big bosses scattered here and there!
nintendo is always wanting to try something new, and the starfox franchise game mechanics wise is pretty experimental
If they can be successful with Metroid Dread, they can more than likely replicate it with StarFox
I think Star Fox 3 is exactly what the series needs. It would build off the originals in terms of gameplay, characters, and story, and we'd get a new villain. Please no more Andross.
But Star Fox Zero was a traditional experience. It didn't bank solely on gimmicks.
On foot missions like Assault were not a bad idea
Thanks for helping me to bring back the 10 year old dead Star Fox series to the roots, i just cried like a baby watching this anime short, i believe my wish is become true... thanks guys! i will heading back to Corneria, and Nintendo... don't forget us in years, please make a new direct sequel to Star Fox Zero in the future on the NX and Miyamoto take a vacation you earned my heart please enjoy you life Thanks everyone! and enjoy the Star Fox Zero!
Good bye everyone! and press Z or R Twice!
Bye bye people! and hold the A button to charge up shots!
Adios people!
I love how Falco was PLAYING Star Fox.
A guy from Star Fox plays Star Fox…

Really good voice acting and animation. I'm seriously impressed!
Found this for a dollar, complete with the bonus game. I don't even had a Wii U. I had to have it because I like StarFox.
Star fox for the switch!! Add more features please!! Make this Star Fox game for the Switch I love star Fox!

@@jeremiahhester6408I do. I’m sad that this underrated diamond isn’t known much. What if we get some references to it in a Star Fox Movie or TV series?
@@Superemie401 That'll be awesome.
godamn it... now I'm gonna have to start playing video games again
CR
I love this animated short so much
There's so much potential in the theatrics of Star Fox!
every time i revisit this, it makes me want a new star fox game even more... and it also makes me realize how unlikely it sounds, especially if it's not another version of 64
One thing I love about Zero how it kinda portrays Pepper as a shady character especially noted how he's hiding so much and Andross's lines during the final battle
Gimme a full series Nintedo!
This really needs to be made into a full anime series! :)
Agreed!
Yeah!
i was about to say that
Yup
Nikki Roessler Yeah
I love StarFox so much!
So do I
God I would really love a cartoon of Star fox because that would be really awesome.
RIP Rick May, the voice of Peppy Hare
10:01 The moment you all were waiting for.
1. Wake up
2. Cry
3. Watch the newest Nintendo Direct
4. A new Star Fox game is announced during the Direct
Actually, it was a bit more like 3. 4. 1. 2.
Never played the game but this Short was a very good.
Once you get used to the controls, I think you're in for a blast.
Actually, this should be a TV series.
Whatever Nintendo’s plans with that series are…
I hope my children would love that series as much as I do today!
6:44 fox and falco used their super smash bros second jump to get in their cock pits :D lol then the ones not in smash bros mess up their landing ^_^ lol
So, slippy has frog jump
OH YOU'RE RIGHT THEY BOTH DONE THEY'RE ANIMATION

😹
This just proves how well Star Fox could work as an animated show.
I have high hopes for the upcoming Nintendo movies!
me too!

WAIT WHAT!?
Lorraine Carrillo
I read that Nintendo will start making animated movies in the near future also the announcement of the Universal Studios parks in Fl, CA and Tokyo!
I would love to see a Starfox movie for real.
This small short is actually really good.
Maybe a plot that covers what happened to James Mccloud after he was taken down?
The games implied that he died. But- What if that's what they want you to think?
ScootsNB True, Nintendo already made a full anime series of F-zero,so why not with Star Fox?
The nostalgia of this just brought so many memories up, Im balling... But this is amazing, and I really want more.
Slippy Toad: Hey, what’s that?
Peppy Hare: It’s a good luck charm, made out of General Pepper’s fur, as a symbol of our friendship.
Fox McCloud: Out of his fur?
Falco Lombardi: Nothing weird there.
Peppy Hare: WATCH IT!!
😂😂😂
You know what else is a good luck charm??? Rabbit foot! Peppy is offended
Looks like he keeps his balls on his belt! Crazy

Matthew Spark So that means General Pepper is neutered.

Dear Nintendo. I'm a 42 year old man and this reminds me of being a kid watching Saturday morning cartoons. YOUR FANS NEED MORE OF THESE ANIME SHORTS on the channel as a series on RUclips for ALL THE OTHER IP'S TOO PLEASE 🎉👌🏼👏🏼👍🏼😊⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Thank you
I love how the 2 dog soldiers cram Pepper into the cleaning bot.
Nintendo we all know you have the money to make this this a show and a good one at that. Come on make it happen for all the starfox fans out here.
Do more of this Nintendo...please...
it's a prequel to the game lol
FOR the LOVE of GOD, NINTENDO. PLEASE MAKE a STAR FOX 64 SEQUEL!!
It's hard to believe this was animated by the same guys who animated Beastars.
...Actually, looking at it, it's really not that hard to believe, but it's still cool to know.
Yeah it's got some choppy cgi in it.
@@Cacowninja I believe the intent was to emulate 2D animation.
Studio Orange animated this? Some people said it was studio WIT
@@xviinaichi3793 Both did. This is a collaboration between Orange (they did the CGI) and WIT (they did the 2D, I suppose).
