Riding the 2024 Beta 300 RR at the Beta Demo day at Brushy Mountain Motorsports park. It was wet and sloppy, as Brushy often is, but that makes for a good test of the Beta bikes, known for their ability to keep traction.
Overall the 300 is a sweet bike, but I actually liked the 250 better. Not sure what's going on with the suspensions on the 2024 two stroke models, but they feel a lot more harsh than on the 2023's that I rode 6 months ago.
You just back the compression off and problem solved. Also 1 turn on the power valve and she revs.
Good to know, thanks! I wish I could have had that demo bike for a day to play with it.
Now… how do I get rid of the vibration? ;)
I prefer 300 engine over 250, I like the instant hit they have
It's good to have options :)
Just curious about your opinion on the comparison of the 300 engine between the 300RR and the XTrainer. I bought the XTrainer as my first 2-stroke because of the linear power delivery, the ability to modify the engine to be like the 300RR's if I ever feel like I want it in the future, and because of the lower seat height. I mentioned something about getting the 300RR pipe and air filter cage and getting the engine to be like the 300RR's and someone else told me I was thinking about it in the wrong way; that people with the 300RR and Race Editions should try to make their power more like the power on the XTrainer. Thoughts?
It depends on what you want to use the bike for. The power on the Xtrainer is very linear and almost docile. It's not a very racey motor, so it will probably fit people who aren't looking to go fast better.
I've seen quite a few Xtrainers with 300RR pipes. Would make quite the woods weapon!
