Seems like a great amp with very few downsides. Decent price, good build quality, beats it’s rated power on the test bench, extra features that a lot of 4 channel amps don’t have and it looks pretty clean too. I was huge into car audio back in the 90s but kinda fell out of it over time. But I recently found your channel and it’s got me excited about car audio again and I’m definitely thinking D4S amps may be the way to go for my build. Another great video Big D

The ratings seem fairly close to me, they are all under 100$ and come with clip lights on amp and remote potentiometer. Don't have one that does over 900rms that I see but for 100$ 900rms with q clip light could be awesome
Honestly I’d love this, go great with my 3 psi platform 2s on a sfb 8k, clamped 7819 Watts at 15v, out of that amp, wired to 1.33, rising too 1.9 ohm box 📦 tuned too 29 hrz, metered a 152.6, now I built a wall, and before I even sealed it too the b-piller, I metered a 155.8 db on stock alt, at 14v, I pulled a dummy move and fried my 300 amp luckily my 75ah c-max was fine, now that I’m sealed I definitely gained, and am in need of, mids and highs 🤦♂️
I was jus ready to order the skar 150.4 4channel a/b amp..im running 2 ds18s pro 6.5s 2 ds18s 6×9s pro also and 2 ds18s super tweeters ..so the skar won't do it???man the price point tho on this is high compared to the skar at 167.00 dollars
I just bought one of these today from Jonathan here in Henderson. Some pole smoker stole my Orion Xtr 1000.4. Looks like I got an upgrade. It was 339. Not bad for all that power. Can’t wait to hear it!
When said idk why you would run these for subs then you did the numbers. Hell I see why now front 2 at 2 ohms would run most any highs and then leave 3 and 4 for some small subs in a daily. Just another Chinese built budget amp. Nothing special but nothing wrong with that besides the usual that comes with those amps. I'm running Half Korean and half Chinese right now. Not JP's amps of course. SoundQubed.

I did not get the kicker CS6 by 9s I sent those back and got DS-18 ZT69s and they suck no mid base whatsoever only mid and highs so now I'm ordering the Memphis street reference pros and I have Memphis PR's in the dash the three and a halfs and they run off the deck so now I'm pushing the four DS-18s with a SKAR 75.4 amp and it sounds better but I think there was something wrong with the amp altogether from the get-go it always sounded fuzzy and then went out in two days so I think I just got a bad amp
Killer amp, and just a wild amount of power! I do question the stability of their power supply with the strange results you got, but i'm not worried about it. Likely just lower quality caps. Maybe some PCB design issues. If it sounds good, it's good enough for me.
Love your channel. The best on RUclips. I actually bought the Orion HCCA 3000.1 SPLX after your vids on it even though I'm running a higher power sub amp and can't really use it with my current setup.

Not everybody needs/wants huge wattage out of a subwoofer and 500W-700W is enough to appease many people who are just looking for slap in a daily driver. You can't tell me an SA-12 in a proper enclosure with this thing bridged on the rears wouldn't slap in my old school Tacoma.

Can we see a run at the 1khz test tone on midrange/highs amps? Is the power output higher or lower at 1khz? You're saying "not sure why you'd use this amp for sub level" but you're testing at 40hz all the time. Can you do both? I love your channel! Definitely not hating. :)
I have a question, not really new to this but it’s been 20 odd years... ok, when using a mono amp with two speaker outputs will you get a final 1ohm load with 2 4ohm subs wired to 2 ohms individually if you connect them to separate speaker outputs? Love the content, just wish I could find my “budget” amp dyno’d on RUclips ( Rockville rva-m3) to see what they r actually capable of.

I'm just running 4 Jl Audio W0W3 An they cap out rms at 300watts so this was a perfect fit for my application. I wonder if there is a way to wire one of JP's Badass remotes to it. Very powerful amp. Have it running 4 deaf bonce 6.5 Arnolds in my tahoe build and they will make your ears bleed. Love that you can turn the crossovers off and let the dsp control everything

I'm running 4 Skar neos on it now with 4 super tweets on a Kenwood 600 watt marine amp thats loud and clean as well and Im gonna run 8 Skar 6.5 neos all together when i get the second Q4-150. Can the low and high pass filters be turned on together to create a bandpass? So you can run mids from say 100hz-10khz? I’m diggin these JP amps so far. They need a big mono block. Something at least 8 k. That would complete the line.

Lot's of power but it's still a class D amp, the output inductor's can only "clean up" class D noise just so much, not ideal for a "full range" amp. I'll stick with class AB amps for sound quality. Regardless of my opinion a great review as always!

I have one question why there is difference between the amperes rating when you dyno test & when you test efficiency..? In this video the amperes it took is 105 but when you tested the efficiency the amperes rating is 98.5 at same power output..! I am missing something..?
I have seen this difference in all your videos..! Why the amperes are less when you check efficiency..? What i do is 105 x 14.32 = 1503.6 thats the input power and the power output is 336 x 4 = 1344 i.e. 1503.6/100 x 89.5 = 1345.72 watts that means efficiency is 89.5%..! Correct me where i am wrong..!
The pair of the JP23 and the JP234 are a bit awkward. It is too much for the average car to support with it's stock electrical and not enough for the people who would put in a HO alternator. The JP234 is overpowered compared to the JP8. A JP11.5^4 may bridge that gap?

You know Big D I wish there was way maybe you could ask JP if there is a way to get amps painted to match. Do some tests on a Hertz amps as well as a few old Audison amps. In addition do a test on an old Class A, Human Reign Amp. The Amps before soundstream became total junk
@ 7:21 . Highly Underrated amps like this are (my perspective) marketing strategy towards high quality. The other end of the spectrum is the anti-under rating strategy which is separate from over rating. Anti-under rating is meant as deception by placing 8 billion watts MAXIMUM OUTPUT to be seen on every surface , which makes it obvious to people that have minimal knowledge about electricity in audio . So in short all amp dyno utubers are like the batman of car audio . Which places u in the car audio justice system as a prosecuting, whistling blowing , iron 👊ed hero . Thanks

I highly recommend this amp. It's such a beast. You can run anything with it. Eventually it will be my bullet tweeter amp

Running 8 mids on this amp at 2ohms and its a beast super loud and clean charging to 15.5v I'm impressed

Not enough power for 8 DB mids. Just put 4 mids on one four channel Jp23⁴ and the other 4 on another JP23⁴

I have one question why there is difference between the amperes rating when you dyno test & when you test efficiency..? In this video the amperes it took is 105 but when you tested the efficiency the amperes rating is 98.5 at same power output..! I am missing something..?
I have seen this difference in all your videos..! Why the amperes are less when you check efficiency..? What i do is 105 x 14.32 = 1503.6 thats the input power and the power output is 336 x 4 = 1344 i.e. 1503.6/100 x 89.5 = 1345.72 watts that means efficiency is 89.5%..! Correct me where i am wrong..!
Very good power, I would tune one to stay 50 watts under clipping and leave the rest as the additional power as headroom.

The pair of the JP23 and the JP234 are a bit awkward. It is too much for the average car to support with it's stock electrical and not enough for the people who would put in a HO alternator. The JP234 is overpowered compared to the JP8. A JP11.5^4 may bridge that gap?
It's plenty for even those of us that have H.O alts. I have a Jp23, Jp23⁴ and a CT Sounds AT125.4 and 320a alt.

In three channel mode I presume that the amp ran according to the 4 channel mode at 4 ohms and bridged at 4 ohms? Or did the amp produce more power?

You know Big D I wish there was way maybe you could ask JP if there is a way to get amps painted to match. I'm not asking to be difficult but what if you wanted say this amp but preferred the blue color to match the New JP 23 V.2 that just came out??🤔 What about a blue class AB amp instead of that purple color??
The heat sinks are anodized not painted and I’m not aware of their plans as far as colors go

So I was talking to someone about my system and I was t told I could run a four channel for subs and component speakers so with that being said I’m running two Lcs d4 v2 12” sundown audio subs 300 rms a piece with image dynamics component speaker ther max power limit is 100watts rms if I run a ds4 4 channel what would you suggest?
I bought this Amp about 9 months ago it's pushing 4 skar 10 inch mids extremely well no issues except its a little to much power money well spent fosho

Do some tests on a Hertz amps as well as a few old Audison amps. In addition do a test on an old Class A, Human Reign Amp. The Amps before soundstream became total junk
@ 7:21 . Highly Underrated amps like this are (my perspective) marketing strategy towards high quality. The other end of the spectrum is the anti-under rating strategy which is separate from over rating. Anti-under rating is meant as deception by placing 8 billion watts MAXIMUM OUTPUT to be seen on every surface , which makes it obvious to people that have minimal knowledge about electricity in audio . So in short all amp dyno utubers are like the batman of car audio . Which places u in the car audio justice system as a prosecuting, whistling blowing , iron 👊ed hero . Thanks
