Really happy you have this opportunity to travel and see Judas Priest 😊 l've been a fan since 1980's and the concert in Birmingham, in March was just awesome, my son was blown away and l am still on a high. Love Priest & your Channel. Have donated and bless you🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
The real fans accept that bands change and people change in the band. They still deliver I saw them with Saxon and man Priest ruled sure I miss Glen and KK but Andy and Richie work well and know how to rock
Dude, I've seen JP over 35 times that I can remember. They have NEVER disappointed... Not even when Ripper was on vocals. METAL GODS!! Love that they are still getting it done with authority.
I saw them on this tour, after last having seen them almost 15 years ago on the British Steel 30th anniversary tour. Richie was incredible on this recent show of course, but I can't deny that there was something special about Glenn and KK up on that stage last time, which was missing. Rob still absolutely killed it, though I could see that it's clearly a bit more tiring for him than it used to be. Just makes me appreciate the time we do have with Priest all the more. Ian and Scott were rock solid as always.
I flew from Portugal with my daughter to see this show not only for Judas Priest but also because it would be my first Saxon concert. I did not realized that you would be there otherwise I would certainly shake your hand an thake a selfie with you. Thank you for your incredible work in your channel and be strong
Enjoy it brother 🤘🏻
I saw the first leg of the show in New Jersey, and you are absolutely correct! Priest looks looser, more invigorated, and like they are just having fun. What a show, great setlist, and Halford sounds phenomenal!
I'm so old I bought Rocka Rolla when it came out. Now I hope Swedish Gripen will teach the Russians a lesson. Long live a free Ukraine and that Judas Priest can soon play in your homeland! Sweden and Ukraine stand together!
I'm so happy you got to see them again. I saw them live for the first time last month (I was late on the metal bandwagon), 6th row, center. And holy shit they were incredible. The band sounded so tight, powerful and flawless, Scott Travis' drumming in particular blew me away. And the Metal God sounds better now than he has for the past 15 years at least. People were looking at each other in disbelief at the notes he was hitting, especially on "Sinner", "Devil's Child" and "Victim of Changes". Rob also wasn't relying on the teleprompter as much (probably because it was the 2nd to last show of the US tour and had the lyrics embedded in his head by then), and was moving around the stage quite well. And it was also refreshing to be at a show where the fans were singing along to the new songs too. When most bands play new stuff the audience gives a muted, polite response, like "They tried, now move onto the classics." It's really a testament to how legendary they are and the quality of music they're still producing. Sometimes you can hype something up in your head for so long you'll end up disappointed no matter what. I was dreaming of seeing Priest live for years and when that night finally came they blew all my expectations out of the water, it was a flawless, killer show from start to finish. All hail Priest and the Metal God's blessed vocal chords.
I'm so happy for you! I met the guys minus Scott in Syracuse on my 54th birthday , thanks to Bob Halligan! You most certainly deserve this moment and I'm sure my sentiments are shared around the globe.
The backstage experience does not commit to meeting the band right? So you knew that going in(?) I would like to buy it but i would be floored if I didn't meet at least some of the band. Could u comment on this?
@Johnny-re9kg I knew Bob Halligan Jr who wrote Some Heads Are Gonna Roll he got me backstage as opposed to the backstage experience which I also did at a separate show in Reading Pennsylvania.
@@Johnny-re9kg at the backstage experience I did happen to meet Andy sleep who was wandering around backstage and introduced myself so though you are not guaranteed meeting any members backstage you may encounter some of them and they are as nice and polite as can be
I first saw them in 1982 with Iron Maiden. I haven't seen them since. I have mad respect for the band and cover some of their material in the metal cover band I'm in. I'm a huge fan of Scott Travis and I think he's added a lot to their sound.
Great video from Metal Pilgrim, the Metal Gods are incredible. Fantastisch idea for future video's like this for those other great bands like Metallica and Iron Maiden 🤘🤘
I cannot but I would love to know why they don’t play the song Ram it down live anymore or any other song besides Blood red skies? Would love to hear the title track instead of Painkiller!!
Saw them last Monday. Great setlist and performance. Better than when i saw them in 2008. Gates of Hell indeed was a great pick. One thing i don't like in general is the amount of phones nowadays blocking my view :)
God, I hate the phone thing too. I tend to record a couple songs during shows, but I politely hold the phone in front of my own face, usually chin level. I don't hold it above my head to block the view of the person behind me. It's so annoying. I also hate at standing only venues when I get there early to find a good center spot, only for a Shrek sized man or woman with insanely bushy hair to squeeze their way in front of me.
Yesss! So happy you are there!! I've just blessed to see them in st louis in May & just bought my front row seats for the October 9th, Everett Wa USA show!!
I’ve seen Glen a million times. I’ve see Rob and Ripper. It’s beyond comprehension. JP, no offense to anyone, is a thing. It’s not something you try to explain or analyze. It’s JP. Nuff said. Long live the Priest.
Great video..yours.👍💪Yesterday june 17th 2024..was at the Madrid show...a definite 🤘🤘🤘🤘 to Uriah Heep and Saxon...awesome stage set to the Metal God's....🤘🤘🤘🤘👍👍👍💪⚡Judas Priest...amazing....saw them last time 40 years ago in Toronto , Canada..defenders of the faith tour 1984 ....Did you enjoy Madrid?
Rob your a Metal Master. Yeah . We are One a culture of outsiders united under the black flag. Priest mix it up so well. "Devils Child"... 😈.. To the Metal Gods 🙏✌️🤘⚖️🇺🇦🇦🇺
Dude, I love your podcasts and our mutual love for PRIEST but, you are reaching here.. No Tipton and no Downing. I'd rather see HALFORD than PRIEST at this point. KK should be back like he wanted and Ritchie could do Glenn's parts. Yes I'm sure it rocked but.......
They should let Andy rip a few solos. That’s like hiring a brain surgeon to remove a mole on your ass. Such a waste of his talent. He’s far more legendary to me than Richie.
I saw priest in the 80’s….when they were great….fan for 40 years! Today’s priest is far from that…songs are cookie cutter, & guitar work is second rate!
Please help me make this trip count - metalpilgrim.net/JudasPriest
That was hella cool of Rob Slava Ukraini from the US 🤘😎🤘

I was fortunate to see them with Sabaton in May. It was an amazing show and I'm still riding that high. I'm so glad you got to go!!!

I saw them back in April, i miss Glenn and KK , but man what a show! Long live Judas Priest!!!

Awesome! Gates of Hell is probably my favorite track off the new record. Glad it's in the live set list.
I love it too! Driving the car out in the country with it blasting makes me feel like i"m flying.
Judas Priest is just an incredible band
I'll see them and KK's Priest in September. Can't wait

Great take, I have always taken Priest essentially for what they offer, that's it.

I love Rob's sunglasses; does anybody know brand and model?
Rock N Roll is referred to as jungle music. Heavy metal is when you feel that jungle with Marshall amps and turn it up full blast. Rob Halford 1984.
