That's a very strange thing to say and pretty untrue. This car sounds totally different to most other cars out there. It sounds strange because it is low revving due to the air density at altitude. It means the engine has to run in a very narrow engine speed range. The sound is dulled because the turbocharger is reclaiming a lot of energy from the exhaust gases.
For the love of Hill Climb PLEASE! let Loeb run the old Peugeot up pikes peak then release the new beast to eat what is left of that road, keep the Heritage.

Look at other videos of this car. The engine does not scream, it has a very monotone engine note. This is because the car works in low air density.
