I owned the leash first and liked it (I the material on the older version tbh), and when I got a bigger camera I bought the Slide which turned out to be overkill (you sort of need a heavy camera or very heavy lenses to justify the bulk of that strap). So I traded with someone the slide light and its just right (for an X-T3 sized camera).

How big is big? I just bought the lite (literally 1 h ago, going to pick it up from the store tomorrow) for my A7Rii + Tamron 150-500. Should I have gone with the normal slide instead of a lite version for that setup?

I've heard many APS-C and micro four thirds users say that the Leash is a better choice for that size. Even the Peak Design marketing guy who demos all three straps on their RUclips channel says that he himself favours the Leash. Apparently, it does everything that the Slides do and it doesn't get in the way as much. The Slides only make sense for a larger camera body and lense setup.
