    Nice when the agates give you so much variety. I love that hunting spot - 6 inches of calm water and gravel for days... it's like some dreams I've had. LOL! I'm REALLY digging that stone around the 3:45 mark - it has SO many tightly packed bands in it.

      That's a really nice hunting spot. I never leave there without at least one agate.

    Wow. 1st time viewer and new subscriber here from Washington state. I loved watching this video. Me and my daughters are always looking for pretty looking rocks. I don’t know the names of any but it’s a wonderful thing we all love to do. 😊you sure did find some pretty ones. I would love to see a video of you tumbled them. I want a tumbler for years now. Maybe one day we will be able to get one. 😊

    Great fines Thomas! Really like the banded jasper with the silver. Nice agates. And the quartz with the red vein is cool. Sorry I been gone for awhile but I'm still subscribed. Thanks for sharing Thomas!

    Would your piece of feldspar be considered a sunstone since it has that schiller in it? That was a nice variety of finds. If you skip a rock does it become a skip an atom agate? 😁 If so I'm looking forward to lessons! Thank you for the fun, Thomas, take care.

    • @99Rockhounding
      @99Rockhounding  2 года назад +1

      I think that only works if the rock you skip is an agate, but I wouldn’t skip one of those😂

    So tonight while watching your video, I got the name of a rock wrong, and my wife informed me that; "I was not a "ROCKIOLOGIST" "! I almost lost the bite of food I just bit starting to laugh, and she laughed too. Love your channel. I can't change the resolution of RUclips on my t.v., but if the possible Skip Atom has bluish or bright white dinosaur teeth looking quartz in the bands or otherwise; then it is a SKIP ATOM.

    I've heard that labradorite is a feldspar, so why don't more people polish feldspar?

    • @99Rockhounding
      @99Rockhounding  2 года назад

      I don’t actually know. I know feldspar has planes on it, which might make it difficult to polish.

    • @99Rockhounding
      @99Rockhounding  2 года назад

      Not to brag, but it was not luck lol. I am actually planning on doing a proper rock skipping tutorial, because it’s a lot of fun and there’s some really cool science behind it!

    Excellent finds today out there Thomas, and a beautiful day, hope it wasnt too hot out there. Sweet piece of chert, very interesting agates, but super cool, very unusual finds there, but they were all really beautiful. Nice wildlife and nature scenes.

      It was a prefect day for doing some beach hounding. It’s a good thing I was out there earlier because it got seriously hot later in the day.
