It would really help if the camera was on the work being done rather than on the man's head.

I recently purchased the logan mat cutter 450-1 and some mat boards from Lions picture frame supplies, what a great company to deal with, and fast delivery, really happy, the 450-1 is a great mat cutter and so easy to use. Thankyou.

Fantastic tut, mate! I'm a disabled veteran & looking to start framing as a hobby and see if I could potentially develop a small business down the road. Your tutorial is invaluable - I'm taking the Logan 450-1 out of it's box now.
Hope to learn a lot more from you soon.

According to the instructions that come with the mat cutter, the 2 small channel screws are supposed to be put in from underneath the cutter, not through the mat guide channels...that's why your mat guide got caught up on screws. It pays to read instructions first.

Thanks for your observations Filomena. The guide didn't get stuck on the screws as there is sufficient clearance putting them in either way. We often remove the measuring bar to facilitate V Groove cutting and other techniques.

Hi Dale, It does depend on how big the cards are but as a guess I would say you have more than enough room. It all depends on the layout and spacing required. If you need help working the size out just send through the size and any special requirements to my contact details on the website and I'll try to help. Thanks for the question. Best regards, David

can I ask is a standard size matboard 40 x 32 inches ? is this suitable for cutting out and framing collector cards (AFL), say 22 on a sheet of matboard??
    cheers Rick

The screws are to be entered from the back! not the front.

Your camera is too high. I was watching you so that I could watch you install the squaring bar because I'm having trouble with mine but your camera is too high and it didn't even show you putting the squaring bar in
