I was a member of my church of 30 years, and when I left "it was reported to me" that an elder commented that they missed my money. Membership is all about meeting a quote and getting your money.

Not all churches only care about your money. How do you know what was said to you was even true? Any secondhand information it's just hearsay and gossip. Unless you've heard it from the horse's mouth, take it as a grain of salt because people will tell lies. There are still some churches and leadership that really care about your soul and couldn't care less about your money.

I was out of a brick and morter for 8 yrs. God was faithful to teach. He led me out and led me back in.
The Lord is using you to bring us sound wisdom and doctrine. I thought that was out of order not finding a church after moving to Seattle. But glory to God I have so much joy now. I feel better mentally also. Thank God for confirmation. I am a servant of Jesus Christ.

I came out of the Pentecostal church and it was the greatest decision I made, don't have time for there crazy rules with no pants, no jewelry, no makeup, that is man-made rules
God called me out of the building 12 years ago. I went back twice. Once on assignment and once out of self. But I realized just how restricting membership was to my ministry. I affect way more lives with my ministry. I still give. Not to churches but to the people. I show them the love of God as well as tell them. So full filling!

I thank God my ancestors went to church on Sunday. Where would we Americans be without the church. Salvation ,Religious freedom,Slavery, Civil rights, just to name a few things addressed by the kuriakon.

I personally find it uncomfortable to go to a building (today’s church buildings) to worship because of their ritualistic and cultish nature. Something always seems wrong and doctrine is misinterpreted along with consistent money, job, and health proclamations. Not all of course.
Teach it's the truth. 68 yrs old God opening my eyes to so much. I miss Bishop GE Patterson my pastor for 21. Yrs. I'm no longer GOGIC. Non denominational. Finances yes...

our group are former church goers which includes Bishops Apostles Prophets Pastors Elders Teaches
but we gather regularly and we go out into the highway and we minister everyday
we feed assist financially fix and repair homes vehicles ect
We get down and dirty doing not just preaching
we are feeling and seeing more accomplish than when we were just in the brick and mortar
we take our money which was called tithe and we do for who need and guess we are experiencing the hands of God
we travel to institutions prison hospital ghettos prostitutes singke moms/Dads homeless and we do what God words commissioned us

Bishop was a great man of God. The church has changed so much all over the world.
My old pastor teaches all things belong to God. Meaning: God should have full access to your money. He lives and drives nice and there are members who don't have transportation.
I haven't been inside a church since my husband passed away 7 years ago. I would always find a service on RUclips. When I became reacquainted with a lady Bishop I met when I first got saved, I saw she had a way of joining, and a part of this church you could join, E-Church. So I belong, can listen to past services, like I listen to yours. I'm getting fed!

I’m so glad to hear you talk about this, I have been in church my WHOLE life, but after the pandemic my mind was changed, even though I attended church during the entire pandemic , to help with praise service and streaming broadcast. But my mind set definitely changed. And I did not want go back to the same old thing, too many traditions thot are really unnecessary, and has nothing to do with God. Thank you for confirmation 😊

Covid-19 has actually been helpful to us in this respect... many of us had occasion to really lean into our walk with God and realize all we need is Him... we observed how He made for us to fellowship with another .. we observed the freedom we enjoyed when not doing church stuff ... not dealing with people wrapped up in their positions and only treating people according to how they fit with exalting that position. Now I am in a good church that works in the local community and does not preach fear to the people ... but STILL, I prefer the daily walk with God, one day just as another, without the extra that "church" requires. The traditions of men and the walk with God are clashing more and more, even in good churches. That building takes WORK to endure, even in a good situation. I endure because I am called to do so ... but anyone not so called need not!

Because The Holy Spirit does the drawing, a person does not necessarily have to be inside a brick and mortar structure to meet The TRUE living, holy Christ Messiah Jesus! We were never instructed to become members of denominations of man (schisms). We are baptized into the Body of The Christ; members of His Body! Most church fellowships don't even follow the guidelines set forth in the Scriptures. I don't believe that born again believers should be pressured or manipulated to become church denomination members. And just because some of us are not specifically in a church bldg... it does not mean that we don't fellowship, praise/worship, pray, read/study the Word or use our spiritual gifts accordingly🙂

I respect everyone's opinion. God has given us all that freedom. But the bible teaches in OT & NT that he requires and blesses corporate unity physically. I have had a pod cast and got money from the streams i would encourage folk to stream and not go to church also sad to say.

Where is your “revelation” coming from? The Holy Scriptures is my Source of Truth, not mere humans. The Scriptures was written aforetime for our learning and Jesus Christ tells us to believe on Him as The Scriptures have said. The Scriptures tell us not to forsake the assembly of ourselves together. That tree of knowledge has so many believing they know more than The Lord our God, let God be True and every man be a LIAR! Everything we need to know about The Lord our God SEARCH The Scriptures, EVERYTHING we need to know about this journey called life, SEARCH The Scriptures. The Scriptures Govern the church not mere humans, point blank period.
13 minutes in and he has said nothing useful yet. Always leary of folk that are full of criticism. Leary of folk that take a couple of little facts and build their own religion. And its really concerning that he never differentiated between "church" membership and being "saved". Dont need to be in the building to get saved. But once saved, fellowship is required somewhere. Thats what part of Matthew 28:19,20 is all about. Baptism is a symbol of fellowship!
