I remember watching Les Feldick. You brought back some memories. I looked him up. Les passed away 4/5/23.
I’ve become very dissatisfied with the black church. As I’ve study the scriptures for myself I have found so many scriptures that the black church has taken out of context or totally changed the meaning of that I’ve actually told my mom I’m going to find a white church that teaches scripture exegetically; that passes out a handout on Sunday regarding the Sermon. I’ve told my mother you just can’t take a scripture verse and build a sermon around it mishandling it and making it into what you want it to mean; that the sermon must still be in context with the scripture verse being used. When you take too many liberties with scripture; you begin to have a different gospel, or a different Jesus, one that doesn’t save.

Some of what you have expressed, I agree with. Other statements made have bothered me, but that's neither here nor there. We're all entitled to how we wish to view the church, the scriptures, or even God himself. I, on the other hand, will follow what the Bible says and not what someone wants it to mean. God's blessings always 🙏.

My daddy has been watching Les for over a year now and he’s in his late 60s.. he says Les has shown him things in the Bible he had never seen in his years in church. I’m currently not attending church and I’ve been searching for a solid Bible teacher because being raised in oneness Pentecostalism I have ALOT of unlearning and relearning to do lol!! He had told me many times to check him out.. I’ve sat in the room while my dad watched his videos while I was on my phone doing other things.. so now I will take my Bible study more seriously and cannot wait to see how much I grow between now and December.
Pray that you grow tremendously and stay hungry for the Word in Jesus Name and are filled with the Holy Spirit in Jesus Name.

My past church made all tithers stand up when it was time to give the tithe. It can make tithers feel superior and non-tithers feel inferior.

When I first saw this video, I knew it was cap as the young folk say and thought to myself, this was during the pandemic since folk were sitting with so much space between each other and when I read the comments my thoughts were verified. So now by seeing this video my thought is confirmed. Folk will jump on the bandwagon and run before stopping to think 😢😂😂😂😂😂

I could say a whole lot about how this video and the previous one resonates so well with me and my church experiences over the last 2 years. But I will just say thank you. I’ve been struggling to find the balance between what I now see in the scriptures and what I was taught while growing up in the Pentecostal/Charismatic church and how I relate to those who still adhere to those doctrines. I left the Pentecostal/Charismatic church and I am now in seminary. Your videos on this topic have given me clarity as to how to better address the anti-academia sentiment that is so prevalent in, for the most part, the black church today. Once again, thank you.

Blessings Elder Jones first of all thank you for taking the time to feed the Saints even while on your vacation that means a lot to the Saints. Question sir. Is it possible in this modern day era for a person to have the anointing without having the proper academics? I don’t have any statistics but it seems in today’s 21st century church the leaders and pastors seem to have the letter but the congregation some might not understand because they (the members) don’t have the proper education just wondering where the balance comes in. Thank you Elder appreciate your ability to break down the scriptures
I'd like to comment on your question. The anointing is not based on a person's academic level. However, 39:33 God is no longer winking at ignorance. That's why Bible study, ministers'-in-training, Teacher's Institute and other courses of study for the Believer/Saint are made available. Discipleship is also important. Ephesians 4:11-16 speaks about the gifting of Apostles, Prophets, Evangelist, Pastors and teachers for the equipping (preparedness/training) of the saints for the work bbn of the ministry for the edifying of the Body of Christ... In 2 Peter 1:5-8 says, "But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue (moral excellence and goodness), to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance (patience), to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren (useless) nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ."
It's very important to read, study and meditate on scriptures (in their proper context) so that you are able to apply the Word of God to your every day living. It's also helps us to have a renewed mind according to the knowledge of the Word of God instead of all this other doctrines, traditions and foolishness going on today. Allow the Holy Spirit to lead and guide you; He is the Spirit of Truth and definitely will not speak above your level of comprehension. Just wanted to share this fron my heart. God bless you.❤

seminary does not create a pastor it creates a student but God creates a pastor ... remember calling cones from God and ordained by God not a professor ...and yes those empty seats were from the scandal
I agree that you don't have to go to Seminary but preachers do need to be studied. Look at HB Charles, Jr. he's never been to Seminary and has been preaching since he was 17 years old and he's one the most sound, expository black preachers out there! We know that the Holy Spirit is the ultimate teacher, however, what is happening in some churches under the guise of the Holy Spirit's leading is just blasphemous. Going to seminary without having the Holy Spirit leading is just as fruitless, though. Knowledge without submission to the Spirit's authority just puffs up. So we need both!!! Spirit AND Study! There is a difference between having a Southern accent and being illiterate and that preacher is clearly unlearned. We are no longer slaves with limited resources. As the kids say "Do better". #getwellsoonchurch.
Pastor I must mostly give you propers for teaching me historical facts that join in some context with Biblical studies. But I must admit that while you have exposed me to in truth I believe even a more learned person like you have to dispel the bad we’ve unfortunately gleaned from either Evangelicals or Christians of cultural persuasion in there ignorance. We have to be careful not to go there way as our counter ways of upholding the beliefs of God’s Word to protect us. Sir I understand why due to our tendency to go “ The Buffalo soldier “ mentality! True? I see Jesus Christ saying to the Pharisee’s what we must be careful about frustrations gotten out of the white church back in overt “ Jim Crowe” days. Isn’t this true?😢
