Did you know, I recently wrote the most comprehensive book ever written about keeping, feeding and breeding Cherry Shrimp. Check it out here fishkeepinganswers.com/neocaridina_shrimp_handbook/
Sorry, but no. I love reading traditional books, preferably hardback. We have about 5,000 books here at home. Let us know if a print one becomes available. @@FishKeepingAnswers
Will do. I also love a good book, but due to the nature of my audience being spread across the world, a physical book is not financially viable at the moment 😢
Sir,My cray fish tank became full of algae water... Is it ok for the cray fish.I actually can't see my cray fish's so it is difficult to feed them the food...
Not too appealed on the next tip count down timer and noise but great to see a refreshed video. Been growing my bloody mary colony for several months and doing great. Thinking of either getting some cardinal tetras or chili rasboras to occupy the empty space
@@FishKeepingAnswers agree with you there. Great to try new stuff which you won't know will work till you try it out. Interested for more axolotl vids and amano shrimps vids I saw you suggested
Can I ask the community a question? I recently bought moss for my shrimp aquarium off of Amazon and the moss came with tiny very tiny black mites anyone know what they are? How to get ride of them
Hi. I would suggest taking some photos and posting them on forum.aquariumcoop.com There is a good chance someone on there will be able to identify them 👍🏻
Hey Richard, can you make a video on how to sanitize and quarantine new plants (especially floating plants)? I added floating plants from Etsy directly, and they may have introduced tiny white leeches(not planaria) that killed off all my shrimp and shrimp babies.
One of the hardest thing for me with a shrimp tank, is leaving it alone. I have a habit of changing things in my tanks often. So i have a community tank that i change things with. Not alot, but a bit. But i have to tie my hands whwn it comes to my shrimp tank and just let it be. So far they are surviving. But its only been 2 weeks for me. Thanks for all your videos. It made me have the confidence to buy and try to raise a colony of cherry shrimp.
Richard I just wanted to say you're a legend! I am currently cycling and maturing my first tank and I'm feeling well equipped with knowledge after discovering and enjoying your content
Be careful when buying glass/ghost shrimp. Sometimes whisker shrimp are sold as ghost shrimp, they are difficult to tell apart, but whiskers can grow up to 3 inches and have longer arms like prawns... Whiskers can be predatorial...
I'm going to an aquarium fair tomorrow and hope to find some red cherry shrimp for my Dennerle scaper 35 liter. I've made a sort of a landscape with rocks, wood and many plants I hope they're going to love. The red cherries in my other tank I got from my lfs still haven't bred. Over time I added more, but some disappear and I'm left with just females apparently. My blue dreams are doing amazing! And they got company from four baby bandit corys which my adult bandits left in there once they finished their quarantine period.
such a great video richard! i love the tip about stability is key, i try to advocate that. I was recently asked about tds and someone was trying to match their water to the exact tds to the 1ppm. keep up the great work and love the bonus 6th tip!

Are there printed, hard copies of your book? I do not read e-books.
Unfortunately not. But I am working on an audio version of that helps?

Thanks for the feedback. Wasn’t sure about the timer, but have to always try new stuff 👍🏻

Background music is rather annoying.
Thanks for the feedback. It’s appreciated 👍🏻
Music is fine but I would lower the volume a bit. Otherwise it’s nice to have some ambient noise.
1:00 i thought my air conditioner was beeping
😂. Always got to try something new in videos.
Can you do in an in depth guide on Cardinia and their morphs. These combos/morphs get crazy.
I’m not really a Caridina guy. You should check out @RWAquariumPages
@@FishKeepingAnswers thank you! Love your content! Could you cover different NC morphs and what you're working on?

Are fantasy blue shrimp similar to cherry shrimp?
They are just a colour morph of Red Cherry Shrimp
@@FishKeepingAnswers that's kinda what I thought you think they would be the same difficulty to keep as cherry shrimp?
@@stiches2690 it is the same shrimp, just bred for a specific color
Yep 👍🏻
@FishKeepingAnswers Aw yay, shrimp dad is proud of me :)
Thx. Mine like 'grazing' the moss balls and sifting through leaf litter.

Wasn't a fan of the beeping with the countdown. 😕
Yeah, that hasn’t been as well received as I’d hoped. 😕. Thanks for the feedback though

Any advice on keeping a hillstream loach with shrimp only tank.
Thanks Andrew
Make sure you feed the loach plenty. Keep the flow up and the temp down 🫶🏻
