Great video,,as a diy in retirement the workpro line on amazon are pretty good for under ten bucks,,knipex still my fave and come out when things get real…….
I switched my needle nose I carry every day to the smaller snap on slip joints. I sold like 10 pairs of old school needle nose and replaced them w the snap on. Kept a craftsman w the black handle I carried for a decade and my favorite snap on regular ones. I found some ips slip joint long nose pliers and they are incredible too. Like in between the small and micro snap on. The fujiya tweezer pliers are great for really little ones. Engineer is good too. I had to replace my snap on ones
Enjoyed the video. I have slowly been replacing my Knipex, Channellock, and Klein pliers with Tsunoda as daily drivers. As good as these other brands are, Tsunoda is knocking it out of the park. Of note are their 8” needle nose, and duckbills.
You should try Tsunoda. I just got my first pair in this morning, and I'm very impressed for the $23 after tax I paid. I got the high leverage needle-nose with the comfort grips, and they're probably going to be my favorite set now.
Tsunoda and knipex for me. I also like the made in Japan versions of the Fujiyas. Many fujiya hand tools are made in Taiwan, so make sure you're keeping an eye on which one's you're buying. The snap on talon grip in big and medium sizes are definitely my go to long nose pliers though. I like that Channellock pair though, I'm going to check them out 👍
ive the set of pitsburg like yours. the set of 6 was like 1o bucks. i use them every day. ive also the westward pliers set which are awesome too. but the pittsburg does the job and im happy with them. i just wish they has the serrations on the jaws.
Nice review! I prefer having needle nose pliers with serrated jaws. In my tool bag I have the 6.5” Crescent 7776CVN needle nose pliers and on my 3D printer workbench I have the 6.5” R’DEER RT-565A fine tip needle nose pliers to reach into deep recesses to remove support material. I’ve been looking to buy a set of bent nose pliers. Those Knipex you have are very nice. I got my eye on the 8” Crescent 8888CVN bent nose pliers which are about 1/2 the price of the Knipex. My everyday use long nose pliers are the Do it Best 6” Electrical Long Nose Pliers 515949. They have comfort grips, a wire stripper in the middle of the cutters and an open jaw for fasteners.
Hello again, Tony Thank you for another Great Video 👍 In my tool box I might have two or three different long nose pliers. My four piece Vampliers. When I bought them I didn't know about the Engineer being the parent company. Merry Christmas to you and your family. Again thank you 👌
Snappy LN46ACF has become my go to "needle nose" for my job in aviation airframe. Do I want to pay $60+..no..but its worth every penny for me. I also run the knipex long reach needle nose straight and bent. After working with talon grip I'm left wishing they were snappys. The form and function is awesome though because theyre super loose from the start.
Channel lock and Klein long nose pliers are similar when it comes to being stout. I have a pair of stahlwille as wiell and they are similar to the knipex. They are spring metal which I don't find to be useful doing electrical. My favorite are the Klein with comfort grips. I'll pass on the vampire and wiha pliers because they tend to have rough edges. Fujiya, in my opinion, is the best quality at the lowest price.
I picked up the Wiha 32621 Long Nose Pliers With Cutters, 8-Inch and put them in my car kit. I tried to use them to bend a tab on a toilet paper holder bracket that fell off the wall and they wouldn’t even grip to bend the tab and the tips separated with any wrist twist. Save your 16$ and buy something better.
I grew up/live in the UK and I'd also call all of them needle nosed pliers, you're not alone! Annoyingly Knipex call their 26-XX-200 series "Snipe Nose" or "Stork Beak" pliers, yet another term to add to the long, long list!?

I don't have tsunoda in this style but I do have the 3 position slip joints from them and they are amazing
Straight needle nose pliers,I do not use them since I bought my Snap On Talon grip pliers.
The talon grips are great!
