Love the 3 yard quilt books. Love your idea for this breast cancer quilt. I lost a sister in law to breast cancer so it’s very close to my heart to give back. I see some of these quilts in my future for donations. Thank you again for always lighting up my day!
You are awesome - donating quilts is a great way to cherish your sister
I’m so sorry about your sister
April
Good morning, April. What I really appreciate about your videos, besides you making me laugh, is your honesty. I had seen your video when you first uploaded it. I really liked the ribbon quilt when the book first came out and purchased it.
I'm finally getting to the ribbon quilt. The color picture doesn't match the instructions picture. I looked at all of those blocks and my brain thought, "It will be easier to go in rows, BUT I want my floral in the corners, not fabric 3. The colored picture is beautiful, one of the things that attracted me to the fabric, but it makes it hard to determine which color is which between the blue and green.
Watch the direction of those half square triangles.
Don't forget to eat some Chocolate!
Thank you so much for sharing this ....and Thank you for watching!
April
Thanks Tou made a difficult pattern seem easy! I have made several Three Yard Quilts and before your tutorial I would not have attempted this one! Thanks again

😃April
They are making Paydays covered in chocolate now! Yummy
Oh I need to go out and get me some of those! Thank you.
April
I think that 3 1/2 " strip made a big difference on the border. Then putting the bigger border last, makes it look so nice. Very smart of you, it's a pretty quilt.
My Mama passed away in 2018 two days after Christmas. I miss her very much, especially at this time of year.
Thank you for honoring all the loved ones we have lost to cancer. May God Bless you. XO.
I have made 2 of the 3 yard quilts, and am pleased with results. For the second one I did buy 1 and 1/4 yards of each fabric to allow for cutting errors and a wider binding. April, decades ago they did market chocolate cover Pay Day candy bars for a limited time. Nearly everyone in the family was addicted to them! Sadly, they are no longer available at least where I live. Prayers for all receiving treatment for breast cancer.
Aww
Thank you for your comment
I’m sorry about your mom

Thank you so much April
Your quilt looks great! The borders made a big difference! Your friend is lucky to have you! She will love the quilt! Are you going to put Minky on the back? It would feel good when she covers herself with the quilt! Best of health to your friend!

April
It looks GORGEOUS!
Thank you for watching!
😃April
Another great video. Hope you feel better soon. 🤧
I’m feeling so much better!!! Thank you!!!🥰 April
I’m also a big fan of the skinny inner and wider outer border design. It easily adds size while also setting off the work in the quilt top. It looks beautiful! And i could not agree more with you about slowing Down. It does feel like pressure to be producing new stuff all the time, so I find myself rushing. I’m never happy with a project I’ve rushed though. So I’m finding strategies to help me keep myself organized on these larger projects and slowing myself down to enjoy the process more AND have a better finished result. Though I think your Halloween theme version is still really fun and only you would know you got turned around in putting it together. Thanks for sharing April! ❤
Awww
Thank you so much!!!
I appreciate your kind words!!!
Thank you for watching!

Absolutely Beautiful!! & that last fabric find for your last border really sends it over the top!! I always LOVE your videos!!

Love this quilt. The borders add so much to it. What a wonderful thought to give to your friend. She will always know you are thinking of her. It will help her get through this ordeal.
Thank you
April
Love the borders!
Thank you 😊 April
Worth the time and so beautiful. You have explained this pattern wonderful 🤗
Thank you!!
April
Using the perfectly slotted trimmer ruler, you can also make hsts by using strips. Think this would be easier since you already know how many of each combination you need to complete the quilt top There are directions with the ruler that tells you what size strip you need for the size of the HST you need.
This is a great tip! Thank you so much for sharing!
Such a beautiful Quilt! The Pattern looks amazing. I'm sure it will be loved and much appreciated.
Prayers for your friend. You are such a giving person, thank you! 🙏🙏🙏
Awww

Thank you for watching!!! April 😀
I’ve made several bed sized ribbon quilts and even tho you do have to be careful putting your blocks together it’s so pretty that I feel it’s worth the extra time to put it together. Your quilt turned out beautiful and I know your friend will appreciate it!
Thank you
April
You tried the peanuts and candy corn!! I like it!!!
Absolutely!!!
April
Great job on the ribbons 3 Yard quilt (both, but especially the pink one). I've got several 3-Yard Quilt books and will get into them soon. Thank you for the video 😊👍💕
Awesome!!! I love them so much!!!!
April
Beautiful but I just will not do anything with HSTs. Your quilt is beautiful, I applaud your mastery of the HST.
Thank you so much- I’m not going to lie they were a challenge !
Worth it to me in the end!!!
Thank you April
I love your tutorials. You make everything fun to learn.
Thank you for watching!
😃April
Your tutorials are so so helpful!! And such a great quilt! I’ve always wanted to try a Fabric Cafe pattern but my cutting of fabric needs some… practice. Lol. Especially with how close these patterns are to only 1 yard each.
You can always buy a little extra fabric to allow for any cutting errors .
Great idea!!!
April
You can do it
And just remember-- it’s yours and if you make a mistake nobody else would probably even notice
Good luck!
April
❤👋🇦🇺😊🇦🇺👋thanks for sharing with us
I always look forward to your tutorials. This was a really beautiful quilt with a great purpose which and I love that you are gifting it to your friend. I thought I was the only one who had squirrels running around in my brain. Ha! Keep these great tutorials coming! Happy Holidays!

You sound all stopped up April. I hope you aren't sick. / allergies maybe? Not that it would be better though! I hope you get relief girl!
Feeling so much better!
Thank you❤️
April
Beautiful quilt. I need to find the book in whichever box its in since we just moved.
Whsn I do a scant ¼" seam, I line the regulsr foot with the edge of the fabric, or in this case, the line. I then move the needle one click to the right and sew it that way. Of course try it on scraps before on your fabrics
Sounds fun!
Hope you find your book-- moving is hard cause everything gets misplaced
Lol
Good luck
April
I just love the quilt it is absolutely gorgeous 😊
Thank you and thanks for watching!!! April 😀
I just did a quilt top with over 500 2 1/2 inch half square triangles.
You go girl
April- could a flip and stitch corner work on a longer piece of a colored rectangle? Just wondering before I make my Christmas fabrics on this very quilt! So glad you showed what a difference those extra borders made the finished quilt.
Absolutely it will work!
Thanks for your question
April
I’m a great believer in eating cauliflower and broccoli to help prevent cancer ❤
I'm in sewing limbo. After my dad died in January this year, I haven't had the heart to get back to sewing my quilts. Please help with some thoughts about re-starting. I've got lots of fabric to get back to working with. Thanks in advance.
Hi Dream
I’m so sorry to hear about the passing of your father
Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers!
As far as quilting…
Have you thought about making one you think he would like and making it for you
A sweet reminder of the love you had for your dad? Maybe that would get the ball rolling again
Just a thought
April
I have this pattern book and at first was not going to make it because of all th HST's. BUT after seeing your quilt I may try it but with a different way. Looks like using the size of the HST and rectangle add them together make the rectangle the size of the two blocks and snowball the corners instead of HST's. Seems like would be easier.
What do you think?
I was thinking the same thing.
I love that idea
I might have to try that on my next one
Thank you for watching!!! April 😀
🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻 love the quilt, your friend I’m sure will appreciate it. I do have a question.
What size board/cardboard are you using, and how much fabric do you general have wrapped around it?
Thanks in advance 🎃
Comic book cardboard
See description in the video
I linked it
I put anything 1/2 yard to 3 on one
April
I would like to see you put backs on them or at least show what material you use for it.
It’s coming! Sooner than you think!
Stay tuned
I am thinking trunk show!!!

I don't remember where I got the pattern for the breast cancer quilt block and I didn't take a picture of it. I was in a hurry to get it to my sister in law. I remember it was 18" finished block and 9 blocks. She loved it and was covered with it when she passed.. her husband asked what I would like for him to do with it and I said donate to the center she went to for treatment. Our granddaughter is now a nurse there.
That is awesome! Other patients can use it!
What a great gift to all!
April
Hi April! Love your channel!! Could you please tell me what the name of the tool is you use to mark the center for the 1/2 square triangles
Fiskars rotating cutting Matt? Is that what you are referring too? If not let me know and we can figure it out
April
@@aprilscraftroom no its that little long tool you used to mark the center for your 1/2 squares, from corner to corner
