[Nerf Mod] Flywheel Cage Testing! Nerf Kenner Crossbow, Stryfe integration (Build Vlog Part 7)

Today we start the vlog by testing the super high crush (38.5mm) eclipse cage with LordDraconical's Twilight Howler flywheels. Then we get back to work on the integration and finish extending the modulus top rail and attaching the crossbow motor covers. This thing is closing in on some paint! Soak your loaded up files in Acetone, then use a wire brush/file card.

Beautiful work there mate. (Body work is a royal pain in the butt). Oh, and skip the pick rail. Unless you've got a reason for a rail, leave it off. Also, ammo counters. Why? You'll know when you're out of ammo because darts will stop coming out of the front end. Cool feature, but not really needed. You can always pull the mag and go "three left"

Yeah I agree, I dig the smooth sides you got going on so far and think the pic rails will probably be more hassle than it would be worth. Same thing with the ammo counter. The less crowding the better especially if your planning on LEDs.

Sandblasting the trigger will prime it for powdercoating

Yea, a neon yellow trigger would be pretty much perfect. And you gotta do the side rails for thr tactics bro (in neon yellow of course) in honor of coop.

I've removed aluminum anodizing with Easyoff Oven cleaner, warning do it outdoors. But a Cerakote or powder coating shop would be able to do it

Yellow powder coating on the aluminum bits would be sick! You might be able to find an automotive powder coat shop to do it; they're often willing to throw a few small parts in with a larger job for a very reasonable price. I do have to ask, where'd you get those Crossbow stickers? I couldn't find em with a quick google, and I'd love a couple for my xbow.

It would be better and cheaper to get them re-anodized or cerakoted gold. Powder coat is thick and might make the trigger stick. Also my experience has always been $100+ minimum per color.
