I think there is a possibility that she was depressed cause I know that when I go back into a spiral my room gets baaaad. And it’s not that I’m ok with it, it’s. just I can’t bring myself to clean it
Not gonna lie: I re-started watching smosh and smosh-related content thanks to Anthony coming back, I never expected to find the reddit stories show so amusing and fun and now I wait for it every week like a weekly bedtime story reading
welcome back. there's a verifiable treasure trove across the main 3 channels, this is one of the best series of course but there's a TON of good shit in these last 6 years even during quarantine these folks made some bangers, and even a couple of great characters like aunt carolyn were invented there. i'd also advise let's do this, during which one current cast member convinced EVERYONE in the office other than those directly in on it of something epic that was a lie, all for free donuts.
I'm in the same page! It's been so good getting to know the other people of Smosh ( I only already knew Courtney and Shane from old sketched), and besides these reddit stories, i also really like their Smoshmouth podcast! Very amusing stuff in there.
For anyone that doesn't have many/any tatts and to answer Amanda's question. The story said it was a multi-day tattoo, which could mean that its a loooong process, and that, combined with the fact that the back is a soft, fleshy part (if the muscles aren't super defined) and the spine is one of the most painful places to be tattooed. When there's a constant pain, on a vulnerable part especially, you can't really tell where the pain is. Even smaller tattoos, depending on the artist, can feel like they are constantly drawing one line over and over. I can see how the woman in the story didn't notice.
Yeah dude, especially in a place where you obviously can’t look over to see what the artist is doing. I have a lot of tattoos and even while getting l some of my more visible ones done I’ll be like “okay this is probably the flower”, then I’ll look over and see that the artist isn’t even CLOSE to the flower lmfao
Yeah even my super simple rib tattoo was hard to feel the shape of. Because I just couldn’t see it. A multi day complicated back tattoo? Of course you can’t follow. That’s why we have to put so much trust in our artists. And the best way to be able to trust that they are doing their very best is to treat them with respect.
Omg my spine tattoo!! i was like omg i feel like you've been just pulling that same line/area for ever and he laughed and was like i literally just got to that part 🤣
Y’all should sneak in a fake Reddit story where a smosh member shares something that really happened about another smosh member (ex: Ian and Anthony)! But of course have them sitting there on camera unknowingly 😆
They’ve e already talked about this in SmoshCast. Shayne has said if anyone in the cast/crew can slip a fake Reddit story and get it read on camera and not get caught, Shayne will give that person a gift card.
When Shayne mentioned the poop knife i thought he was talking about that European explorer who got trapped under snow and ice and had to make a knife using his own poop to get out. So the fact i now know two poop knife stories is wild lmao.
@@foxyjambread3826 there's a channel called "Simple History" and they told the story of an explorer trapped under ice and had to use his poop to escape. Like i said it's wild!
I enjoy using these as background I listen to them like a podcast, and firstly I love this show and frequently re-run the episodes, I caught something new this time, a grown man who I 6’ 5” 160 and relatively active should absolutely be eating about 2500-3000 calories day, like that is totally normal lol
So i have a petty story. I used to work at a daycare that was associated with a church but in the loosest way possible. To skip a long story i got fired after putting a kid in time out for biteing me and trusting the other lady in the room to let her down while i was in the bathroom. It was the beginning of covid and I was a photographer trying to get off the ground. I had done the seasonal pictures for the room I worked in because the photo company couldn't send someone in. When i got fired i left alot of props in the room but they told me I wasn't allowed to be near the facility. So when my husband came home i sent him to get my stuff during the pick-up rush. Now this was also fresh off the capital riots where the pastor of the church was proudly posting tons of pictures of his own participation. So i told my husband who loudly asked the director of the daycare what actions were going to be taken as the pastor had been documented breaking the law. She apparently turned bright red and had to deal with a swarm of parents now very concerned about what was being taught to their children as my husband left with my stuff.
it's quite possibly the most florida thing he's ever said on camera. you tend to forget that he's literally from florida until an extremely southern analogy like that just comes out.

Story time: I worked at Starbucks for six years, and I once had a customer who got the most insane drink order and was like this woman. She wanted her espresso shaken over ice so it would be cold, but then you had to strain out the ice because she didn’t actually want ice in her drink. She just wanted the espresso cold. Then she wanted cold foam on top, but no vanilla in the cold foam, and topped with cinnamon. This woman could not fathom that her drink order was confusing, even for me, and I was going into my fifth year with the company. We also had a lot of new partners just learning how to make drinks and take orders, so plenty of them got the order wrong. I found out after the fact that she stopped coming in because a coworker made her drink wrong three times in a row one day, which may or may not have been on purpose.
Idk how you made it 6 years. I made it 6 months but we were also a 24 hour drive thru store so I'm sure you can imagine. I would say that was easily one of the worst jobs I ever had. And for the record, I had a fair amount of Barista experience before starbucks, I loved being a Barista! Starbucks takes all the art and love out of the profession while never putting their foot down with the inappropriate behavior from their customers. We were so abused by our customers, some were very inappropriate with our underage girls but management would encourage them to keep flirting for tips (which management was "taking their share" of btw, pretty sure that's illegal or at least against policy i'd hope). Screw that place.
@@Taygon45 unfortunately I was a supervisor, so I was like two steps down from a manager myself, and apart from her I did enjoy my job. What really upset me about her though was the attitude. She treated all of us like idiots for getting her order wrong, even if you weren’t the one taking the order or making it! I first encountered her in the drive thru window when I tried to hand out what was made, and she’s like, “no that’s not right.” Apparently we were the only Starbucks she went to that, “never seemed to make it right,” which I highly doubt. Also one of my coworker’s first language wasn’t English and was still learning how to take orders, so that added another level of confusion when her order was being taken. Did the customer try and go slower, or make it easier for that barista to understand? No. She treated her like an idiot, just like she treated the rest of us, but it certainly pissed me off more.
Omg, smosh pairing up with the lawyer from Legal Eagle for a Reddit Stories would be insane, a collab I never thought I'd see coming, but one most welcome.

For the tattoo story... it's so true, you have to watch your back with "friends and family favors" you will often get someone like this who will take advantage and use you as much as they can.. but the real ones understand you have a business (especially if you're starting out) and want to pay in full to support you... you will learn real fast who is there to support you and who is there to use you...

20:09 my whole wedding was basically family and friends helping out. They actually all volunteered to help sil-photos, nephew-played live music and did a little d.j.jng, it was held at the golf course my hubby works for so the venue/beer was gifted, the employees helped cook along with my hubby and bartend. Now that’s not to say they made no money cuz both our families and have/do work in food service/retail and tip extremely well. The main chef is an amazing baker and even gifted us a homemade cake. My bridesmaids all helped make our bouquets and decorations. It was all amazing and will always be one of the best days of my life. One of my most treasured items I own is my bouquet…fake flowers last forever! While the flowers on the tables were real all the bouquets were fake. We had a great time creating them, using them at my wedding and now we all have them in our own homes. I guess I was beyond lucky for this and getting the most beautiful nearly perfect fitting wedding dress off of wish.
Fake bouquets are a good idea because I don’t really like getting real flowers as gifts because I’m not good at taking care of them. But keeping flowers that last longer that look good is a better idea. I’ll keep this in mind when I have my own wedding someday.
Went through a busy Starbucks drive thru today, ordered an iced chai as I’m not a coffee drinker, got a cold brew instead, smiled, went home, and forced myself to drink the whole thing. I relate to Shayne so much with that story. 😅

Shayne, you are right on the money about customers not seeing retail/frontline customer service workers as human. As someone who works as a cashier, it is absolutely astounding how much I get crazy requests and attitude from people for just existing. I think it’s also a projection thing where, if you can’t deal with what or who is making you unhappy, you direct those feelings at a safer target (me and other retail workers).
This is such perfect timing, I'm a Starbucks barista who put his two weeks in 3 hours ago. For the past two years me and my coworkers have been collecting pictures of the most insane orders and stories of the worst customers. the combination of tommy, amanda, and shane was so excellent! one of the best reddit stories episodes i've seen
AGREED!
really? I feel like amanda has the one OMG reaction, gives the initial "asshole or no asshole" to revenge stories, and feels so fake, just not actually interested. It's typical though, usually guests have no idea how to give reactions or just dont get or aren't interested in reddit stories, idk why they still force guests on this. I'd rather listen without looking at the video if it weren't for shane. He's actually always carrying the whole reddit stories show, to me at least
@@phoenixnnqI think you just don’t know how Amanda is lol
@@phoenixnnqthere are plenty of reddit videos with just one person reading them out. I think the more unique format is what makes the smosh ones so good. if I just wanted to hear the stories, I’d read them… on reddit.
@@lordfaygo6453 true, seeing this doesn’t make me want to haha
As a barista, I had a customer that
A.) was banned at multiple other locations
B.) screamed at me because trenta mochas don't exist
C.) called his daughter a "fat bitch" in our cafe in front of other customers (loudly)
D.) would moan over the speaker as a joke
E.) refuses to talk to us at the window, instead forcing his daughter to reach over him to give us HER money (even when it was HIS items)
F.) would yell at her to "get the fuck out of my face" when she was trying to hand us her money whilst shoving her
G.) I called CPS on because his daughter (possibly jokingly) told me he abuses her, but I really didn't think it was a joke.
He got banned soon after that last interaction, and I really don't know what happened to his daughter. I can only hope she's no longer staying with that Big-Ed lookalike.
That nightmare roommate HAD to have been a hoarder. There's no way she was simply doing it out of spite.
Especially with her keeping multiple bags of trash. Also wonder if she was really depressed or something
I’m just glad the parents with little ones kicked her out
I think there is a possibility that she was depressed cause I know that when I go back into a spiral my room gets baaaad. And it’s not that I’m ok with it, it’s. just I can’t bring myself to clean it
Part of me thinks that she was on drugs and it brought out the worst in her. Her behavior was unhinged

I LOVE Tommy and Amanda!!! I wish their stories were so much longer, 1 hour isn't enough 😂

I would have let managment know I quit by throwing her drink in her face.
Working at Starbucks is a different kind of costumer service. Shaken iced espresso lady’s are intense.
At that point she should buy her own expresso machine
Amanda’s shocked laugh when the “poop knife” was being discussed…amazing!😂
She'd die if she ever heard about the "Time for Pie" podcast's Spoop, then. 😆

Shayne, you are right on the money about customers not seeing retail/frontline customer service workers as human. As someone who works as a cashier, it is absolutely astounding how much I get crazy requests and attitude from people for just existing.
