I've found using the cleaning service can help a little with that sort of thing (except for when I accidentally had MOO during live mode, and moved an egg into the wall behind the fridge, she can't help with that). I wish our Sims could have the finding dirty things magic the cleaning service does.
That hobbit home is unreal! Not to be a cottagecore lesbian on main but god I wish I could live there!!

All you have to do think , follow your heart ❤️ and plan it and just go for it . That’s how I do mine . As a real artist that’s still not discovered yet but I should , take my advice . I believe everyone can build and everything that’s creative .

I use Anaire3’s starter homes all the time in every new save. They are so beautiful and detailed. The fact that they are so affordable makes them even better.

The Brindleton Bay house on stilts made me remember and severely miss the swamp in Twinbrook from The Sims 3! Something about the stilts just triggered my memory 😭

It’s one of my fav things in the sims. I make a playground for them so I put the swing set toddler slides and cc sandboxes and I put a fence around it. It is so cute and fun and then come back with sea shells
these are all STUNNING i am losing my mind at the skill and talent these builders have!! AND THE LAST ONE!!!!! I think my computer would burst into flames if I tried to place it lmao
Mine almost did 😂 my game almost never ever crashed but this time it did and I hadn’t saved my own build in a while 😩
Wait build idea: Build a house with the OLDEST items lol with like the *original* items from 2014 👩🏻🦳👴🏻
to make it even worse: don't use any build tools that came out after 2014... aka: no windows or doors on half tiles, no pools, no custom stairs, no overhang on some of the roofs, no pond tool, no platforms :)

I love seeing how talented literally a ginormous amount of you people are. I don’t have 1% of this building talent and I’m sad and yet blown away at the same time
I don't even have sims so seriously haven't a clue how people make these amazing homes! Plus my sister is jenpen33 who made the cottage on stilts on this video , she's always been so amazingly creative ! I will have to get her to show me 😁
I downloaded the “farmyard family home” love it. Changed a few things like the fake barn I made it into a laundry, with a half bath and a little kitchen for my sim to make her jams there.
She sounds perfect! I wanted to add laundry but I also wanted to keep it as just cottage living so as many people as possible could download!

So many of these buildings are practical, usable lots, it makes me want a simsie Let's Play where every lot in the game is replaced by a build for one of your shell challenges
When I see people using the tool mod makes me realize I'm such a novice builder because the amount of patience and skill to use the tool mod.
I use the corner pieces of the counters and cabinets as end pieces SO often because they're so cute.
My computer could never…it would crash immediately!🤪 These people are way too talented and creative!!!
Thank you so much for touring my build! I made the Treehouse Spa and Lounge (ID: ArcherIsabelle) It was a fun challenge since the shell was on the smaller side and to think of multiple layouts was difficult but rewarding. Glad you enjoyed it :)

Ok so the last one with all the shelves, I love it so so much, it's incredibly gorgeous, but you just know your sims would put stinky dishes on them all the time
i love the brindleton beach house!! it looks fully functional. i love the artistic ones but i also like to play in beautiful houses and sometimes i feel like i can't make something look good unless its all cluttered with move objects and stuff

The last one was absolutely beautifully and lovingly done. That's phenomenal. The amount of tool modding is insane, of course, but also the use of patterns inside also gets me. Some of those wallpapers and floors I just hate, but the way they used them is just... it's beautiful!! God. I know this is from a year ago, so I'm late to the party, but I'm so blown away.
i tried so hard to do this one and honestly gave up. MAJOR respect for those who completed it

I am in AWE of the Cozy Hobbit Home! I can't believe how detailed everything was, with all of the indivdually placed books and decorations...amazing. The Simsie Waterlog Cottage and Treehouse Spa and Lounge is stunning as well. They are all such a adorable builds through and through.

This was my first shell challenge and I had a ton of fun with it! I put a custom shower in the little nook and I’m super proud of it!
I think this was the first shell challenge that I decided to do, and I actually completed it! Deciding on a floor plan nearly drove me nuts lol

Kayla! You should make a broken shell challenge of your new house! Build the new rooms all separately to the approximate dimensions, then simmers can arrange the rooms in any configuration and we can give you designs that we think you'll love! Would be a nice compliment to your "using the sims to design my real house" series.

jokes aside, these are all amazing! it's impressive how much patience people have. i was making a sweet modern cafe surrounded by a lake from your shell, but got tired placing all the rocks, so it never got finished, lol. hopefully i can actually finish something to the next challenge!

one time, i made a build that had ✨ _two bathrooms_ ✨
My mind is blown as always by the creativity and imagination but the things that hit me the most were the shapes of the custom rugs using free flooring in the first build and the shelf above the sink in the waterlog cottage!? So wild I'd never seen that before because it looks so cool and realistic. There are so many genius details in all these 💜
I wanna cry after seeing all these builds, ppl are so creative and they have amazing ideas and different vibes. I’m so amazed by this, it’s inspire me

Hey Simsie. i'm a silent lurker, frequently just watch but don't say anything. i just wanted to say you've inspired me to try a shell challenge. it's not one of your shells but i found one that i thought wouldn't be to hard for a first shell. it is surprisingly fun.
I love these builds, absolutely stunning (and there are loads of other high quality entries to this challenge at the gallery).
And it is so sweet, how excited Kayla is about community lot entries. I tend to find commmunity lots are much harder to implement intho shells than residential - so maybe it is time for a community lot only challenge?
As someone who only got sims 4 recently, these buildings are so impressive. I can hardly make a functional bathroom and these people are making *art*

OH MY GOD THE HOBBIT HOME ONE INTERIOR REMINDS ME OF THE HOUSE FROM THE SECRET WORLD OF ARIETTEY
This was the first time I ever tried a shell challenge, and it was really fun to be pushed outside my comfort zone. I often find it "impossible" to build because I can never furnish the way I want to and it not look weird in my opinion. But with this I was able to discover that I always do the same things, and I really forced myself to think differently about furnishing and floorplans. I made me happy to build again.
These are my all time favorite type of sims videos. I love seeing how creative people get with the same items/limitations of the game. I wish I could build like this but I’m all here for the inspiration!

Hi Kayla, just wanted to say that stumbled upon your videos randomly I became obsessed. I haven’t played the sims 4 in 2+ years because of *life*. However you made realize how much I love the sims 4 so I go the strong to play. So I pulled out my computer and played last night for the first time in years!! Thank for sparking the happiness I got from sims 4 back in 2014 when it first came out.
The last house's exterior gives me major Encanto vibes
Honestly if I open the Sims and see that the gallery is fixed I will just assume I slipped into an alternate universe.

These are incredible, but I’d love to see a video full of builds that are more playable. Like, these builds are great, but I feel like it would be almost impossible to play in them without either severe lag or my game just straight up crashing.
I think/hope my farmyard build would be playable for you! It’s on a big lot but it’s actually not packed full of items - providing you have cottage living of course :)

Just want to say that my family rented a beach house once and there was an outside door to a downstairs bathroom which was perfect! Some of us were sleeping in tents in the yard but we still had a full bathroom without needing to go through the house. Probably also meant for sand and not getting that in the main house.

These are super cool. As far as backdoor in the bathroom, I toured a house when a friend was looking to buy a house where the backdoor was in the bathroom. There were 3 doors in the bathroom. One from the living room, one from the kitchen and then the glass backdoor. It was also a full bath with a tub.
i tried a shell challenge for the first time the other day with your two story tiny shell from a little while ago. i love it!! i still don't know if im allowed to make porches because it adds to the amount of tiles, but i had fun building. edit: ok it looks like i can. also wow these builds are incredible

All of these were amazing!! But that last one……. HOW?! I made a custom staircase with TOOL mod a few times and about pulled my damn hair out. I can’t imagine doing an entire BUILD with TOOL Mod!! The amount of patience and talent that person has is incredible!
Something that could be really cool as well is taking one of these builds and using them as inspiration for a new build. It could be something like building your own take on one of the concepts, taking one of the concepts and putting a spin on it like the Simsie Waterlog Cottage, but as a micro home, or as a community lot, or something like that. Or also just taking one of the building strategies someone used like the debug kitchen and creating a build trying to utilize that strategy.

These are all incredible. I don't know if a few are playable because they are so tightly packed with items but they look great and showcase creativity.

I love how you just take one of the most important items in the builds and then just reset it, i bet the people had a hard attack but then they realize its fixed. These are really aesthetic builds. I love the last build.😁
Now I don’t know how downloading save files and stuff works, but I always add lots to my new worlds from the gallery. Could you do a video giving recommendations for what lots to replace base game lots with? And like which restaurants and spas we should use and where?

What about a build challenge where you have a set amount of time (2-3mins) to "shop" for furniture/lights. Then, you have to build the shell and furnish the house with what you picked out, not being able to go back to purchase other items and needing to use everything you pulled out.
Further Info:
*During the shopping phase, you can select anything from the build/buy catalogue. If you want more than one of an item, you need to duplicate/pull out as many as you want. Swatches are finalized when the time runs out
*If you want a higher difficulty, windows/doors can also be selected during the shopping stage
*After the time is up, take as long as you want to build the shell, add wallpaper/flooring, and furnish it using ALL the items you picked out in the shopping stage
*Landscape is separately timed (1min), but you cannot arrange it until time is up.
Hopefully this all leads to an interesting build~
The last one is so crazy, my favorite part are the fences and the weird oval shapes. It really shows you how limited sims is by being on a grid.

have you tried using the live camera mode while touring homes? i’d love to see the active ducks or water fountains and being able to look at the detailing from a first-person view! 🥺 love how you engage with your followers!
I’m honestly so glad Simsie didn’t tour my build after seeing everyone else’s.. I need to up my game for the next shell challenge
