I met my husband some months into an active divorce and living separately (initially told it was final, then months later told close to finalized)... We were publicly together on social media already and not secret met my family/friends etc, I eventually forgave his lies and moved in, and then started a family eventually..... His ex-wife wouldn't sign the papers (reasonable ones) for 7 yrs lawyers and mediation, no deals, eventually he paid her off, took out loans signed what he didn't want to, just to be done(bc I was walking/moving out if he didn't)... I have been with my husband now 12 yrs, we have 3 children 7 and under. I have never met his ex, not once, they have a son too. He doesn't come around, unless for money, he is an adult now over 21. But I can count on my hands how many times I have seen him ever. (We even bought a house with a extra fifth bedroom in our basement for him to stay in and he's never came He always changes his mind). He uses my husband emotionally on the phone and texts a lot and then ghosts him. He lives a few miles away too... Anyways. Not everyone's story is the same. I'm sure I'm painted differently in their story, even tho we never met or talked not once. Not a word ever said between us.
