What do you all think? After I showed you I can be like Tommy Wiseau with how I edited McNulty and Kima talking to Omar in the cemetery, I thought I'd earn respect back from The Streets by doing a concise Scene Remix ending with the scene of Slim Charles' most legendary line if not one of the most legendary.
RUclips prevented me from including more than an extra 4 minutes of content on this video so I had to trim it down by removing the scene of Avon and Stringer discussing what to do after both saw Marlo's street presence, and I will try to do an extended cut removing enough material to avoid the censor or just put it on another site entirely.

Stringer would've been successful if he only focused on keeping the group operating, instead of trying to innovate.

I just noticed something about this scene's direction. It wasn't a 2-shot because both men are big. But since Slim is so gigantic, the only way to communicate Avon's higher position was to sit Charles down and put Avon in a bright colored shirt.
This show was magnificent. Each episode was a feature film. I mean I hate that it had so many Black people killing each other. But that's life, I suppose.

Stringer was playing the business man way too much I respect his business idea but it became more of a fantasy than reality he was way too deep into the game to be thinking that way but in the streets I’ve seen his kind people that think they smarter than everyone else in the room and always without fail they get killed
That doesn't make much sense. Stringer was already running a successful print shop that he bought with seed money. He'd've figured out the housing development thing eventually. All he had to do was team up with Clay Davis... and push a button on Omar and The Bowtie.
As to all these people you claim to know who got killed doing street shit, I doubt that because street people don't spend too much time on RUclips.

They were partners but it seems like Avon had the majority share of command, Stringer had the majority share of making the money work.
In season 1, Avon was the boss, and Bell was the underboss. Much like Junior and Anthony Soprano. And like in The Sopranos, when the boss gets put in jail/house arrest, the underboss assumes all power and responsibilities. So by season 3, Stringer is the street boss in command, but Avon still has power to call shots. I believe that's one reason why Avon allowed the stringer bell hit at the end.

It always seemed like Avon was number 1 because he had the direct line to the supply, and even in the first season when D'angelo asked Stringer if his uncle approved him being moved out of the towers...but I think not only were Avon and Bell close, but Avon was aware that at times he needed Stringers "business" knowledge. Another time it's obvious is when stringer tries to get slim to kill the politician (I forget his name) and Avon basically shuts it right down

This just goes to show how little knowledge Stringer had outside of simple manipulation and Avon had outside of being a "street soldier." A simple history lesson would have shown them both (especially String) that in war, you need ALL your generals and troops on the same page. The minute Bodie and those guys started questioning why Stringer would say one thing and Avon would order another was the beginning of the end. Evidently, it was mispronounced. Most of the people on that list are actual, street dudes of some capacity. But I'm told that it's actually "Shorty Boyce". I believe in the scene when Charles popped Cheese in his melon. He's the 1 who said, "this sentimental motherfucker just cost me money". That scans because whoever that is would definitely be described as extremely short.
Anyway, he didn't exactly clean his whole ack up. He did, however, retired from wire. He saved some money from the street life and started a career as a professional gambler. I think he died 2-3yrs ago.
That's the lore from what I gather. I have a friend who's from B-More so most of that checks out. I've done some amateur internet sleuthing to find out what was what. As you already know, The Wire was written by David Simon, an ex-police officer. The character "Prez" is based on Simon's homie, Ed Burns.
I'm told that Eggy Mule (Edgar Meuller) was an Araber. I still don't understand exactly what that means but from what I've pieced together, it's guy who peddles fruit from a cart. Evidently, that gave him autonomy to move in the streets and stay relatively undetected by detectives.
This all came from my trying to find out about who the hell Eggy Mule is. I think the name sounds cool.
