    Great to see the Orkney back on the water Guys - she's looking tidy. Pot winch still ashore for a service I guess. Good catch of Spiders and a nice Lobster - guessing Rebecca enjoyed her tea that night! Better times (and weather) are coming - stay safe & well! 🎣🎣👍👍

      Winch is now back on but probably one more video to come with out it. It s more important once we go deeper with the pots.

      Dinghy is not to bad it's a bit of fun and just gets a few pots out while we waited for the weather to calm. It is good to get the bigger boat back in the water so we can go further out.

    Hi Troj and Rebecca ... Nice to see the big boat in the water ! ... Was wondering if there is much meat in the body of spider crab or is it mainly just the legs to eat? ...

    • @Trojwaterman
      @Trojwaterman  3 месяца назад +2

      It's probably 50/50 in male spider crabs and less in the female crabs as they have small claws and shorter legs (we tend to return nearly all the females even though we can legally take them)

    c. 1420....your 'wreckpot' is/was SUPER nik compared to one of my many strings way back. Unlucky 13 there were and we called 'em the 'rusty ruins'/suicide string....barely more than a collection of wire & net but they caught like *******.....used to shoot 'em tight to the cliff off Godrevy.....almost hoped to lose 'em but their catch rate was truly fee-no-meen-al!!
