One example of how executives are disconnected from writers is Star Wars' Andor. The executives were less involved since it was a minor name compared to Mando, Obi-Wan or even episode 9. With greater flexibility, Andor became an awesome show.

In other news you boys should give a review to Talk to Me! Really great movie that hasn't gotten alot of attention. It was directed by two YTers, Rackaracka and its their first movie!
They should just pop the cork, they spend more money on marketing movies now than the actual cost it took to make. That's a real quick and easy way to save a shit ton of dough.
The one thing they fail to understand is the delays drain interest in the movie. Plus time waits for no one, the actors continue to age.

I'm actually expecting Dune Part 2 to be delayed - with the actors and writers strike going on, WB will want their stars to help promote the film. Dune P2 has the potential of being a huge hit (and possibly be a $1B earner) - especially with incredibly high and positive sentiment over the films and it's trailers.
