Some comments I found important looking at who the Fever hope to put on the floor as a starting 5 next season: 1) clear tiers of a) definitely foundational: AB&CC b) possibly/probably: KM c) backups/traded/cut: everyone else. As you noted the comment about 2 probably 3 foundational players. Later she said "yes we have a foundational player in CC and AB and we're going to add to that." Also, the comment about wanting to bring in 2-3 impact veterans. Clearly the Fever intend to at least look at opportunities to upgrade KM. A player like Kelsey Plum, for instance, would be better than KM. The Aces likely don't have the salary to match a max salary offer to Kelsey Plum and that also means they probably can't afford to core her. Because KM is undersized and hasn't before recently worked much on her defense, there are much better defenders at the 2 spot who are like KM impact scorers. 2) comment about wanting to add "more size" with new free agents. KM is one player who is significantly undersized, and that affects her defense a lot. LH is also undersized, both skinny/lightweight for the 3 spot and also only 6'1". The Fever are also clearly looking to upgrade the 4 spot though their size isn't as much lacking in that spot. 3) comment about wanting to only add players who can complement the pace of CC. This will eliminate some older free agents, unless they are in superb shape, also some slower ones. When the Bulls were winning their first 3 championships with MJ, they called their 2-4 spot players "the greyhounds" because they were all long and fast, ie both size and speed. This seems to be what the Fever are looking for in the 2-4 spots. Later Grant was upgraded to Dennis Rodman, and the moniker changed to "superman, batman and rodman" but these were still greyhounds. Your podcast is a little too "homer" for my taste. Yes, KM is an all-star caliber player who deserves respect for putting in tough years on losing teams for the Fever. But that doesn't mean she's the best choice now. The way I hear it, the Fever are giving KM plenty of praise, because there's a very realistic chance KM will be back next season (if the Fever fail to find a satisfactory upgrade). But I also see clear signs of the Fever signaling they will at least be looking at possible upgrades to the 2 spot. And you as a kind of less knowledgeable commenter really shouldn't be inputting your own opinion as you did that KM is "essential" to the Fever. If Fever management thought KM was essential they wouldn't be waffling as much as they are about whether KM is foundational for them moving forward. You're just here to tell the story, and the story is KM is beloved and respected by the Fever, but not necessarily essential moving forward, and the Fever are definitely looking at upgrade possibilities at her spot. So if you can't get your one job right, if you let your personal feelings affect how you tell the story, then what value are you? You can be a fan or you can be a reporter, but don't present yourself as a serious newscast is you can't turn off your fan horn while reporting.
Until Slow it down Sides is sent packing then the rest nearly matters not.

Howard, I love that you are investing in young reporters, … but they could do with better proofreading and editing before they publish their articles.
I never watched a WMBA game before Clark. I am really not interested in the rest of the league, except Arike Ogunbowale.
I have zero interest in any one or team,in the WNBA,except Clark and the Fever.
