Great to see Kelly back on this side. What experience she's gained will be very important as the new media deal is implemented after 25'. As she said to go from a 3 win team to 20 and play offs in this amount of time is very impressive given all the outside noise from "experienced championship coaches" who talk negatively about the coaches. Coach has done an amazing job, and growing in winning aa much as the new players, because of her experience and training. Improvement of team and further experience will see a bright future come. Even better than the winning team they had before. Might not be a championship next year, but a final 4 position will be a great step forward!! Go Fever!!!!!

I think its would be fairly easy to build a team around CC, IF THERE ARE FREE AGENTS WHO CAN ACCEPT PLAYING A ROLE FOR A CHAMPIONSHIP OR A FEW OF THEM. @@artistamisto Sides failed to develop the bench. She should have been subbing in Grace Berger for Caitlin throughout the season to develop her. Maybe then Caitlin wouldn't have needed to play all 40 minutes in the playoff games. Victoria Saxton should also have been developed with some minutes in every game. Part of Fever's problem this year was weak bench. Temi was injured, Katie Lou was struggling to get her game back post-baby, Kristi Wallace was not effective, Grace Berger and Victoria Saxton weren't developed, etc.
It's a great start but as long as Sides is still there you won't see any change. Clark can only drag them so far. When the players have to compete against the other team, the refs, and their coach, they can only go so far.
The refs are pretty consistent leaque wise in poor officiating. They have continued the same trend in the playoffs but teams have to learn to push pass it even though it's easier said than done. With more time and maturity as a team the Fever will excel and win championships.

Welcome back, Kelly. While you are re-watching all of the Fever games, make sure you watch the after-game interviews as well. Note the lack of confidence the players have in Christy Sides' ability to coach in crisis situations, especially Caitlin Clark. Note how many times Sides threw the team under the bus during the interviews and never owned up to her mistakes. Keep Sides as an assistant to placate Lin Dunn if you must, but hire a head coach who knows how to manage the clock, manage player rotation, and understands Caitlin Clark's fast gameplay. Hire some assistant defensive coaches and some play-making coaches. Replace Nalyssa Smith with Satou Sabally. The chemistry is there, they just need coaches who can coach!

She would never say anything until it’s time to make an announcement. You never hint that you want to replace your coach. You just do it when it’s time. This is how professionals operate.
It was non- calls by the refs in Suns game 2. Could have had 7 to 10 possible points from fouls. And, a few plays when passes went out- of- bounds. The player to receiive the ball wasntt' looking for the ball.
Kelly and the new GM need to fight for the players(especially Clark) to protect them from the dreadfully biased officiating and overly violent cheap shots from opposing players with agendas. Protect the players!

Definitely should have won Game 2 and forced an Indiana home game. But realistically, Connecticut has a deeper bench and the Fever being the 11th worse defense cannot overcome cold shooting games. But I agree, Christie Sides is not the answer.

I have never heard a single person in the Fever organization every say any thing positive about Sides on court coaching. Never anything about her half court adjustments or in game adjustments. It is always about comradery and all the off court feel good stuff. And I agree with this. Sides is good at a lot of stuff just not coaching. I would take Curt Miller today over her. I saw every minute of every game. CC was frustrated with the coaching in pretty much every game. End of game scenarios was using CC as a decoy. Sides should not be allowed to grab CC by the arm and pull ever again. Fully expect Sides to be replaced this month. Amber Cox comes in Oct 28th. I hope a lot of the Fever organization who is not bought into CC, is gone. Sides has not bought in.

The Fever's roster needs upgrading with tall 3&D players(elite defenders that can shoot) at small forward, power forward, and back up point guard positions. The team needs forwards & centers that can rim run. Defense wins championships.
Please choose players that WANT to play with Caitlin. Please NO players with drama off the court. Looking forward to next season.

Great to see Kelly back on this side. What experience she's gained will be very important as the new media deal is implemented after 25'. As she said to go from a 3 win team to 20 and play offs in this amount of time is very impressive given all the outside noise from "experienced championship coaches" who talk negatively about the coaches. Coach has done an amazing job, and growing in winning aa much as the new players, because of her experience and training. Improvement of team and further experience will see a bright future come. Even better than the winning team they had before. Might not be a championship next year, but a final 4 position will be a great step forward!! Go Fever!!!!!

Part of Fever's problem this year was weak bench. Temi was injured, Katie Lou was struggling to get her game back post-baby, Kristi Wallace was not effective, Grace Berger and Victoria Saxton weren't developed, etc.

It's a great start but as long as Sides is still there you won't see any change. Clark can only drag them so far. When the players have to compete against the other team, the refs, and their coach, they can only go so far.
The refs are pretty consistent leaque wise in poor officiating. They have continued the same trend in the playoffs but teams have to learn to push pass it even though it's easier said than done. With more time and maturity as a team the Fever will excel and win championships.

Welcome back, Kelly. While you are re-watching all of the Fever games, make sure you watch the after-game interviews as well. Note the lack of confidence the players have in Christy Sides' ability to coach in crisis situations, especially Caitlin Clark. Note how many times Sides threw the team under the bus during the interviews and never owned up to her mistakes.
Keep Sides as an assistant to placate Lin Dunn if you must, but hire a head coach who knows how to manage the clock, manage player rotation, and understands Caitlin Clark's fast gameplay. Hire some assistant defensive coaches and some play-making coaches. Replace Nalyssa Smith with Satou Sabally. The chemistry is there, they just need coaches who can coach!

It was non- calls by the refs in Suns game 2. Could have had 7 to 10 possible points from fouls. And, a few plays when passes went out- of- bounds.

Definitely should have won Game 2 and forced an Indiana home game. But realistically, Connecticut has a deeper bench and the Fever being the 11th worse defense cannot overcome cold shooting games. But I agree, Christie Sides is not the answer.

But it was Christie Sides coaching that cost Fever 2 losses against Connecticut in playoffs. I honestly believe tha Bluder would take it and come out of retirement. She retired when Caitlin left Iowa. Sides isn't Fevers answer to being a Dynasty WNBA team, She had a horrible offensive game & had it not been for Caitlin Clark controlling the tempo of their games Sides wouldn't have won 1/4 the games they did this year! Sides substitutions game sucks and she don't know when to call time outs to break The stride of the other team whenever they get on a scoring run & she has no plan of action. Truth is Caitlin Clark pulled her out of a lot of losses this year. I have never heard a single person in the Fever organization every say any thing positive about Sides on court coaching. Never anything about her half court adjustments or in game adjustments. It is always about comradery and all the off court feel good stuff. And I agree with this. Sides is good at a lot of stuff just not coaching. I would take Curt Miller today over her. I saw every minute of every game. CC was frustrated with the coaching in pretty much every game. End of game scenarios was using CC as a decoy. Sides should not be allowed to grab CC by the arm and pull ever again. Fully expect Sides to be replaced this month. Amber Cox comes in Oct 28th. I hope a lot of the Fever organization who is not bought into CC, is gone. Sides has not bought in.

In professional sports, NO COACH gets years to build a team. Christie Sides is the worst coach in professional sports and The Fever will not win next year. They won't. This is total BS. There's no reason to even watch if Sides is the coach. She's so terrible.
It's pretty telling when CC refers to Bluder as a coach, but not Christy Sides. None of the players seemed to have much confidence in her ability to coach during a crisis.
They got Granny out of there. She was too nice and would have brought back all the scrubs. Fire Christie Sides too.
The Fever's roster needs upgrading with tall 3&D players(elite defenders that can shoot) at small forward, power forward, and back up point guard positions. The team needs forwards & centers that can rim run. Defense wins championships.
