I've only just discovered this singer. I've been enjoying her songs ever since, but the video that goes with this one is sublime. A double blessing. Thank you both, Sarah and Jean.
I just can't believe how excellent/ beautiful this is ! Lovely singing, lovely instrument playing, 'profound' Dylan Lyrics, nice tune & super video.... Wow, blew my socks off, sent a shiver down my spine etc etc !! Am I upset I didn't 'discover' it 'till this month? Nope... I know about it now.... could listen to it 'forever', or, "Until the cows come home" as we say in south west England !!!
The video is well done, but there's a few things to correct: the recording is produced by Sarah Jarosz and Gary Paczosa for Sugarhill Records (not Putamayo), and the opening line is "Ring them bells, ye heathen from the city that dreams..." which can be verified from the official Bob Dylan website.
Thank you for the information, we have updated the description. Unfortunately, we copied the lyrics from a site that apparently had posted the wrong version, and the video cannot be updated without changing the YT link.
Nicely done. As already pointed out, the first line should read "Ring them bells, ye heathen..." --a classic Dylan line if ever there was one. Also, St. Catherine is on the top of the roof, not the top of the room.

Thank You. I will ring the bell with Love & Gratitude. God is ONE. I Am That I Am .

Thanks for the additional info. :)
Can you tell me who plays dobro on this song?
When I hear ringing bells I think of peace and the Catholic Church up the street who pronounces the local time.
