it takes either a well seasoned driver or a newer driver with a GOOD head on his shoulders to call that race after that. too many rollovers last year...as u said, that car got loaded in the trailer and can easily b raced again rather than pulling out another chassis and changing everything over. and i'm gonna say that was a good call and a good night. stand proud young man, that car WILL race again...and win again and again and again!
Good analysis as always brother, your knowledge and honesty about what happened is incredible and says a lot about your future. More of these online race young guns need to check out your production and content. Keep hammering the top!
Tanner, your starts are so much better, your speed has improved! Watching the nose of the car and you are staying straight, much improved good job! As for broken parts , that's just racing. You could have every part on the car magna-fluxed, but why, that would cost so much money and time and not a good plan! You guys are doing an amazing job and with the help and support from your whole team, family and friends and certainly fans your team is maturing in so many ways , good job. I'm not sorry I kicked you in the behind a couple weeks ago, all I want is you to do is an awesome job as you are and staying safe, make it a great day, jw
Aluminum heims can work in the rear of the car they just won’t take the punishment, and should be changed out often…..it’s not worth the liability vs. weight savings (better to use steel).
We use to run a right rear shock with what they called a rough track shock valving. They did something with the high speed bleed. Wouldn't of matter with hitting that hole. Good luck next time!
It was interesting the car running second ended up in a world of hurt as well, fortunately for him he got away with it. So looks like he was thinking exactly the same as you
Never ran ALU..arms i had steel with the heim machined in the end of the arm .. I can see where this can be a problem , it's like you might have to change them after race on ruff tracks or kissing the wall ...You will have this in motor sports ....lol...........
Hey Tanner love the videos I never miss an episode. Watching you has given me the inspiration to start my own RUclips racing channel filming videos of my racing here in Australia. I would love to know what I should do to improve on my videos, as in what you use to film yourself in the pits and what are the most important aspects of making an awesome video like you do every time. Good luck with your season hopefully I can see you again at chili bowl in January
That’s why we rode around the bottom in conservation mode. Can’t learn anything with a tore up racecar. Looking forward to coming back out west in July.
Just a question. If you know there's a hole or really bad rough spot in a corner, shouldn't you avoid it? Going the bottom under it keeps your equipment safe and lets the other guys hit it to lose time along with tearing up their stuff. That race line through the hole can't be quick way around? I know your momentum may put you up there a couple of times but running that lower line would force anyone trying to pass you in 3 and 4 to take that rough line. You are a excellent driver and I know more success is coming this year. Keep racing hard.
Toss in that any sort of preseason got scrapped because of insane amount of wet weather, and that CGS sits basically on the riverbank, and you get a fresh surface sitting on very loose earth underneath it. After 2 nights of wearing in and other cars with tiny tires, I'm not surprised things shifted like a waterbed.
Drivers always blame the other classes so it's kinda hard to know for sure. I've had a lot of modified and street stock guys say they absolutely hate running on weekends with sprints because of how bad they tear up the track. Really it's just a simple reality of dirt racing, particularly in wet areas, that the track won't always be ideal. Those who adapt prevail. It's not an exact science and the track kinda can't win. If they cancel, everyone complains, if they run the show in difficult conditions, everyone still complains.
Tanner, the guy that was running right behind you in second at the time bounced just like you did at the identical same place. It was almost ssimultaneously He just didn't bounce as hard as you did because I think you got all the mud and he got none. I think you'll find even if you had the proper Heim end in that rear component it woulda snapped as well. That takes a ton of pressure to snap a Heim end like that I don't care what Heim it is right or wrong one or not lol.
Track was tore up before mains. Racing in the NW after winter with all the rain we got can be tough on cars. One of the drivers told me after the race, racing in Oregon in the spring is a roll of the dice. Also finished 5 minutes after curfew.
The fidckle finger of dirt track racing dug that hole, not you. The car behind you hit the same hole. You saved the car, so save yourself. Don't be so self critical of yourself. You are one helluva driver. Keep the hammer down! ✌✌
Did you take a wrong turn and end up on a motocross track? Dang, that track was rough. The car behind you looked like it almost flipped hitting the same hole that you did.

Toughest way to end the race , just starting to dominate the field ! Keep the momentum going !
Tough luck Tanner, at least it wasn’t a rollover or worse. You did a great job
Same thing happened to me last night, first race of the season bounced so hard the rear axle exploded
You were definitely fast. It can only get better. And I know it will. Good job

You tore another one up, a couple races ago. Important part. Keep Rockin and Racing.

Thanks jerry!
Stay away from holes...😜 Just glad you didn't tear the car up Kiddo.
Good luck in the 410 at Silver Dollar this weekend.

keep on looking forward

Guy right behind you trying to follow your line did same exact thing as you.
You did an awesome job Tanner. Keep up the good work and good driving and you keep getting wins.
Tanner stuff happens , the only one i seen able to run through the holes was Doug Wolfgang

Where did you finish?

I've never broken a heim before. Normally the part the heim threads into breaks or bends. I see at the end you say it wasn't the proper one.

Ya I saw him do that in the dash I think or maybe it was the heat. Ya it worked to help keep him from getting passed
We’re you running in a plowed field
Track conditions were bad because they race five divisions. Three of those divisions just put ruts in the track.

Aluminum hiem joint?
If you had been in a bull riding event in a rodeo, you would have definitely gotten a great score!!!!!!
Overall you got a win this weekend, but like you said that could have been a lot worse. Still good performance!
Track conditions hurting equipment … no bueno!
Its time to gather up some GOOD sponsor s.your ready for the Outlaws.
Is that an aluminum heim joint? I don't trust aluminum. Risk not worth the weight savings.
Better luck next time 😮
Track was horrible not your fault keep your head up
Ur rod end and my leg have something in common 😮
Yup Forged Chromoly Steel Heims only . Replace them every 10 races.

That hole was dangerous. The track should have done something to fix it, but they might have been running out of time.

Great job crappy race surface 🎉
Looks like the driver behind you did same hipity hop behind you
You were definitely fast
Are you coming to the eldora million
We are considering it

well crap,,,you were on a roll. i thought you were going to say we were leading until Carly passed ya...see ya next week!!
guy right behind you did the same.
As the saying goes "because race car".
Good hime or wrong track was way too rull for a sprint car and got tore up by the other divisions
Garbage track and result, at least you did not roll over!! Good luck with the next racing event for you and Carly ✌✌
👍🏻
SPOILER ALERT----SPOILER ALERT
BIG glob of mud. Don't be so hard on yourself--you had a good weekend and your car is still intact without major damage.
The track crew is at fault they need to learn how to work on a track .
