- What can I say? Jun Maeda is amazing.
In this video, I share my first impressions of Heavens Burn Red, a story-driven JRPG that’s more than just another gacha game. From its emotionally resonant narrative crafted by Jun Maeda to its unique characters and breathtaking music, this game truly feels like a work of art. I dive into the game’s prologue, character dynamics, and gameplay mechanics, while exploring why I think it stands out in the gacha gaming space. Whether it’s the goofy charm of Ruka Kayamori or the blend of humor and heartfelt moments, Heavens Burn Red delivers a memorable experience. If you’re looking for a game that goes beyond meta and numbers to remind you why we love anime and storytelling, this one’s worth a try. Let me know your thoughts on the game and what content you'd like to see next!
I'm really enjoying it. Yuki and Ruka's comedy act never seems to get old
@@mercurialblonde those 2 are lovely!
I really love watching those two always going at it 😂
@@PapaTez the voice actor for Yuki is so funny
@@mercurialblonde The rock moments have me rolling every single time! And yes. Just pure comedy :D
I might be wrong but Yuki serapim code hello world is more of a reference of a programmer expect. As she is a hacker.. nornally the 1st programming lesson is teaches the user to display the word "hello world" with the programming codes.
Poor zackie senpai last stream cant full audio due to copyright
Nah it's okay
Been waiting for the global ver since JP came out a couple of years ago, the dialogue was very hilarous so im glad it's translated accuraetly.
Literally the funniest game I've ever played. And the MC is the HORNIEST MC ever, even though the game is so tame, there's literally zero fan service -- unfortunate. This game is ten times more Japanese than any Chinese gacha game, and it's extra apparent if you understand Japanese. So much wordplay and direct cultural references. I love that you can farm infinitely and that the game has no energy mechanic.
@@araarashinigami the power save training mode is life changing
@@mercurialblondeyeah the fact that its server sided and I can just close the game altogether is very much appreciated
The one that hook me to the game is the Yuki and Ruka comedy(although some are not funny for me). Hopefully they add more illustration in the story and add more character expression. maybe it just my expectation but i kinda feel for some part in story they can add some picture of a thing that they take or use .overall it is a good game though
Im a huge legend of heroes fan, which is a series of visual novel jrpgs, so this game is right up my alley, story seems good, combat seems alright, the humor is top notch with just the right amount of cringe. Im glad its finally over here and not locked to Japan forever lol
The Kiseki series is mad FUN! Can't wait for the remake
great game. though idk why i am getting fps drops in my laptop
It’s usually the first attacks at the start of wave then it dies down. It doesn’t bother me too much but it’s weird that’s it hasn’t been fixed
It's wild you can make a statement like 'the game isn't doing well' on what was basically day one of its release, lmao. It probably will do just fine to keep going, with low engagement numbers, and a handful of very dedicated whales.
My bad 🤭 it is a fantastic game. Let time do the work
I just started playing it today , am laughing my ass of how goofy the squad is
I fell in love with this game in 2022 JP version got really really far . But everything was in JP was really hard to understand. So I uninstalled it 😢😢😢😪 sadly . I'm so happy its Global sadly I have to start all over Amazing game tho . This and reverse 1999 are 2 of my Favorites
Definitely feels like there are too many gachas out there at times. Choice is great but competition means there's there's only so much time and money available foreach gacha so they gotta get creative to one up the competition and retain as many players as possible I suppose
I can't find it on the app store
Hey Zackie I was about to play the game and realized the game is only English sub not dub? Can you please confirm if there's an English dub available for this game? Thanks a lot man!
@@mangkedelupe3125 it's English Subbed only
The gacha game that i dont know you can get bad end because of dialogue choices. Wrong choise get bad end
Art-10/10
Gameplay-6/10
Story-7/10
Protagonist-0/10
What, because she's not a self-insert? Get out of here.
@@notbadrule9883 from all i have played she is pretty much one so no not exactly my issue but close
Good game
it really is just a generic gacha game using jun maeda's name as a selling point, so it's technically a visual novel with gambling system added
I mean it is jun maeda though

In my opinion, we need games that can be played, not just watched. It's like a visual novel.
I mean.. 'duh' because it is a visual novel? It's not for everyone for sure, doesn't mean it's bad, you're just not the target audience that's all.
Visual novels are good too though.
Because it is a visual novel?
username checks out
We have plenty of games that fit that bill. I'm glad games like this exist too because I love visual novels
Yuri just isn’t my thing, sadly.
Its not shoved in your face. Yuri isn’t my thing also but it’s more of a side gag here rather than a full blown main theme. The comedy is pure gold you really need to give this game a go for that alone.
There's barely yuri in this game though. People that said there's yuri, just very self-conscious. When I play the game, I only get friends teasing each other.
I tried to give this a chance but was incredibly bored after a few hours of literally just walking around and talking and talking and talking. No thanks.
It is a visual novel game,so yeah won't be for everyone.
go back playing your other shitty gacha games
What the other guy said. HBR is a visual novel first, gacha game second so story, the dialogue, the characters are its main selling point. If you can't sit through and enjoy it, game's just not for you.
Bro found out Jun Maeda's work
You're probably a kid who only played these shitty gacha games, get out. Thanks!
i really wanted to play this so bad bc its the writer of Angle Beets, but the DEI translation's ruined it for me in the first 15min... and i cant trust that im getting the real story or someone injected writing.
if you want to know why i called it "DEI translations" its its in prolog, the JP VA says "thanks" in English with her real voice, but the translated text says "gracias" then go's back to English text.
then the main characters dialogue choices are like over the top zoomer language and it feels unnatural.
this is just my opinion and experience on why im disappointed in the game.
I'm very unknowledgeable about the subject, but I'm curious why the "gracias" part doesn't make sense to you. Is the joke in the jp version not that she's saying thanks in a different language? If she said thanks in English in the text the joke wouldn't land. Also take this with a grain of salt, but I've only seen people praising the translation and localization of the game. I've also seen people confirm that the unhinged jokes are the same in the jp version. I feel like it's a bit quick to write it off just from that. Maybe you just don't like the way the story is written.
@@fadedfiction2733agreed, ive played up until chapter 1 day 11 and there are so many unhinged jokes translated accurately. I don't think a DEI team would willingly do that. I guess some people aren't willing to sit down a bit longer and see what more the game has to offer. 1 joke you don't really like shouldn't deter you from playing through the whole game imo.
that's... like normal thou? in nikke they also change CEO mustang speech because he used mix of japanese and english, but that won't really capture it if we translate it all to english. Hence the english word that the original jp voice translated to france instead to give the same "trait".
I think you've let politics rot your brain if you can't enjoy silly waifu generators because you're afraid of "dei"--the localization seems fine. And unless you know Japanese it's the only way to experience the game, so it's strange to get triggered by one little thing like this.
Holy f*ck this like the most worthless criticism I ever seen
installed it for 4 hours and uninstalled it just 10 minutes of the game
no one asked, thanks. go back playing your other shitty gacha games
git gud, u just have a bad connection LMAO
