In 63 i saw an Albatross overshoot the bay in Hopedale Labrador and hole the hull on the rocks. They waited for the bay to freeze and took off for Goose
I think there are avid Beaver pilots out there capable of full vertical take offs just like a Huey, under the right conditions, and if there is a tip $ in it for them....
OMG it’s EZW in Red Lake! I flew that plane there in the early 90’s! I LOVE the Beaver. And the mighty Noorduyn…… Norseman Capital of the World!
Do they still do the Norseman reunion?
@@falconeaterf15 believe so, yes
Major skin drag on water
Minimun skin drag on ice
Science is a wonderful thing
Nice Beaver!!!
"Thank you! I just had it stuffed."
Laughing.. yeah.
love the beaver - very cool
If any plane can do it, it's the Beaver.
Boy that would have been a nice birthday present for me turning 23

I flew in OCP IWNED BY IGNACE Airways BACK IN 1970 era. Also. CFBFT NORESEMAN THEY OWNED BACK THEN.
Lots of beaver time…floats, wheels, skis but I never did that.
Seen guys fly off a trailer being towed by pick up truck. Whatever it takes I guess.
Cool video! I had no idea you could do that without damaging the floats. The Beaver is a beautiful airplane
Nor did I though I did know about landing on grass if the floats were holed
What horsepower does that plane have?
Pure horsepower
"flies"
Is there anything a Beaver can't do!
Fly high fly fast and not leak oil🤣
Must be awkward to do an engine runup and mag drop check before takeoff!
Why? If it is because you cant put brakes on, neither can you on water.
Just a Beaver....what else????
Nothing happens fast in a Beaver😁
…except an 11-second takeoff roll…er…slide! Pure piloting.
