I can't see how Jonny Greenwood (odd that he is) would play that guitar part out of objection to what he is playing, as this is the original recording.
The passion in his voice still gives me chills. We’ve all experienced insecurity and societal pressures in our life. Great reaction as usual, gentlemen. ❤️
It’s about not fitting in, being the “weirdo”. I think this song, on some level speaks to all of us, at one time or another. For me, high school. People can be so mean. Thom Yorke seems to be living the pain in an almost literal sense. He’s passion, his voice! What range. OMG! This is one of my favorite songs ever. Which says something. I’m 61 and you guys know how much amazing songs the 70’s had.
Careful not to mistake 'fitting in' for 'belonging'. Fitting in is just copying everyone when they conform to pressures forced upon them by industries, but belonging is about being with you come to love you and don't try to change you in harmful ways.
I think we all have felt that we didn't measure up at one point or another in our life, especially when it had to do with love. Awesome song, and a great reaction.
My personal fav 10 Radiohead songs: 10.Reckoner 9. Exit Music(For A Film) 8. Pyramid Song 7. Jigsaw Falling Into Place 6. Let Down 5. The National Anthem 4. Daydreaming 3. Weird Fishes/Arpeggi 2. Paranoid Android 1. How To Disappear Completely
Yeah, gives me chills every time. Not only Thom's voice but also his facial expressions. He just really conveys the anguish of feeling inadequate. Nice reaction y'all. 💕
Creep is such a powerful song, but wait until you go deeper into their catalogue. They really progressed from that first album and have gone into to reach legendary status with their original approach and incredible compositions. Can’t wait to go on the journey with you.
Guys the more i watch you i need to tell ya i haven't seen any Uriah Heep songs yet... From the time you listened to Pink Floyd, which is my fav band of all the time and will ever be and you listened to most of their most known songs, but if you like them you will also like Uriah Heep i suppose ;) just try them out... Songs like: Firefly, Return to Fantasy, Gypsy, July Morning, Circle of Hands, Sympathy, Sweet Freedom, Wizard, Illusion, Easy Living, Lady in Black, Come Back to Me, Look at Yourself, Free me, Can't Keep a Good Band Down, The Hanging Tree, Weep in Silence... Just choose ;) just have fun guys love ya stuff ;)
BroAction, You are great human beings: open-minded, genuine and great conversationalists. The ideal friends. We need more people like you in this world.
The vibes I'm getting from this song are very sinister indeed. Dylan Cleebold, and Ed Harris who were bullied at school for being different and weirdos, and look what happened there. This song is dark, Boomtown Rats did one in the same vein. This song is a masterpiece. Its got to be one of the best songs ever made
When Thom turns it up one octave heading into the final chorus push it's epic. George & Patrick the song doesn't have a deeper meaning than what you hear. Being in love or infatuated with someone that you feel is too good for you. Thom had a huge crush on a girl in college that he actually used to follow around but never even tried to speak to because he felt he wasn't good enough. He actually saw her once when she showed up at a Radiohead gig as well. Thom wasn't very happy with the song though. He hated the lyrics he wrote. The guitar player added those hard banging sounds at first as a joke because he didn't like it either. The public loved it & obviously it became a huge hit. But, it's loved so much that it's all anyone ever wanted to hear. Radiohead actually dropped it from their set to try & make way for new music. That song is impossible to break free from though because "Creep" will always be relatable to so many. Liking that seemingly unattainable person & wishing you were more. MANY have covered this song & argue that this person or that person does a great cover. In my opinion Thom Yorke's voice on this track IS "Creep".
As much as MANY of us can relate, this song sung by anyone else, will never compare. And as with many legendary songs... it came from Thom's SOUL. Peace....
@@yeahboiii6640 You're not alone... She's in the comments on all the reactors I follow too!!! She's usually on point with her comments, which is always good. :)
Street Spirit (Fade Out), Karma Police, Exit Music (For a Film), No Surprises... the list goes on! So jealous you are exploring this band for the first time
Hi George and Patrick. I've really been enjoying your reactions now for the last couple of months and I've been going back to catch up on ones I've missed. I think the really cool thing is how you both have such different perspectives on what you are hearing and how you react when listening. I also enjoy the way you say "wibe" instead of vibe. It's cute. Love you both tons.
Let Down, Paranoid Android, How to Disappear Completely, Fake Plastic Trees, Street Spirit, No Surprises and so many more, they have so much great music
Radiohead are my favourite band. So many incredible songs including Street Spirit, Just, Paranoid Android... the list goes on. My favourite song of all time is How To Disappear Completely, which Thom has said is the song he is most proud of, also.
Love this song so much, I’m here for your Radiohead adventure! Would love to hear your thoughts on 15 Step, the rhythm of that is so unusual, it really intrigues me.
One rare but amazing song is "True Love Waits". Honestly, Radiohead is so amazing you can't pick a wrong song IMO. Other songs I think would make an immediate impression are "2 +2 = 5", "There, There", "All I Want", so many songs. Almost anything off "In Rainbows", lots off Kid A album too. They're probably my favourite band. ❤
You guys are so great at video reactions! Smart, honest, and real. Awesome. Radiohead Accolades: known as The Beatles of this Generation; Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2018, 7 of 9 albums nominated for Alt Music Album Grammys; 5 of 9 albums listed in Rolling Stone Top 500 Albums of All Time; try "Street Spirit"/"Paranoid Android"/"Karma Police"/"Fake Plastic Trees" -Treasure Awaits - cut to the real deal with "Wierd Fishes: Live from the Basement"
Love radiohead, there's loads of songs you need to react to my faves are Just, Exit Music (for a film), Fake Plastic Trees, Paranoid Android, Street Spirit (fade out) and Talk Show Host
Love the video guys! Great reaction as always. Radiohead is one of my favorite bands. Daydreaming, motion picture soundtrack, and airbag are some of my favorite songs ♥️♥️
Unrequited love; they don't even know you are alive. That was a gas, watching you when it lifted off, haha, gave me goosebumps too. Thom York, genius. Locked down peace, love & music from East Coast of England. x
Radiohead is one of the best bands ever. Some recommendations from here are Karma Police, Idioteque, Everything in it's right place, There There, Exit Music (For a Film), the Pyramid Song, and How to Disappear Completely. I could keep going but I think I've made a long enough list lol
Yes! Her version with Postmodern Jukebox is absolutely phenomenal, completely unexpected, and will blow your minds. Plus the video is a fun watch, too.
I'm so glad that you've discovered another truly great band. Radiohead, each band member, are virtuoso's at their craft. I compare them to the Beatles, and to Led Zeppelin. And as you find more about them I think you will enjoy that they are great "live" performers. The "From the Basement" videos are a treasure, and there is excellent concert footage too. I would suggest looking at their album release dates and taking them in chronological order. They have been fierce in creative changes, but still remaining true to their core. I look forward to more Radiohead. :-)
Tom is amazing! Wikipedia: “Thom Yorke's lyrics express an obsessive, self-destructive sexual attraction. When the song moves to the chorus, Jonny Greenwood produces blasts of guitar noise. Radiohead took elements from the Hollies' 1972 song "The Air That I Breathe"; following legal action, Albert Hammond and Mike Hazlewood are credited as cowriters.” Another great song to react is “Paranoid Android” the video is very “unique”. Thank you loves. Lu
Now everything else Radiohead, they are brilliant. I love everything they ever made. They have basically made music in every genre and Invented new ones ❤️ Watch In Rainbows live from The Basement. It's... I don't have words.
Thom Yorke hated this song because it sounded nothing like the rest of their catalogue and didn’t play it live for ages. Its funny how some artists hate their most popular songs, until the money starts rolling in. And the famous guitar crunch before the chorus is actually the guitarist trying to destroy the amp out of protest and hated of the song, but they kept it in - again, ironic how them trying to make the song bad, gives the song its iconic sound
Cool story dude. I knew they hated performing the song and had often wondered how they actually came up with that guitar crunch sound in the first place.

Thom Yorke's voice is incredible.
I can't see how Jonny Greenwood (odd that he is) would play that guitar part out of objection to what he is playing, as this is the original recording.

Actually he is singing about everyone thinks they’re weird and it’s the pure truth.
What a great song....I love the way they bring in a piano in the last 15 seconds of the song....really nice way to end it.
Nice breakdown and reaction Bor I've watched a number of reactions to this song and really like your video.

Una delle più belle recensioni che ho visto . Bravissimi
Best interpretation of the lyrics that I've heard so far
He sings about the rejection and the frustration builds and then he loses it and that's when the rock kicks in.
I love how this song is soft and then explodes
